The Good News of Salvation BW

God created mankind with free will but mankind sinned, separating them from God. To remedy this, God sent his son Jesus Christ to pay the penalty for mankind's sins. Jesus lived a perfect life then was crucified and resurrected, removing the barrier between God and mankind. The Good News is that anyone can now be saved from eternal separation from God by accepting Jesus' sacrifice through believing in him as Savior. The choice to accept or reject this gift of salvation rests with each individual.

THE GOOD NEWS OF

SALVATION

Ian & Sue Coate

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” Gen 1:1.
God created mankind in perfect environment, with the power of
freewill, to enjoy a special relationship with Him.
But mankind went astray and sinned against God.

“… through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin,
and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned.” Rom 5:12
Sin became a barrier between perfect God and fallen mankind.

But your iniquities have separated you from God; and your sins
have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear. Isaiah 59:2
If this barrier was not removed, mankind would spend
eternity separated from God and His provision. And a
place devoid of God’s light and His comfort can only be
described as: HELL.

But God loved fallen mankind and wanted

no one to be separated from Him.
Since all mankind are sinners, God said He would pay
the penalty to remove the sin barrier. Thus He humbled
Himself and became a man to wipe clean the debt of sin
in the world.

“Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the
virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call his name
Immanuel (God-With-Us).” Isaiah 7:14.
Two thousand years ago, in a stable in Bethlehem, the God-man
(Jesus Christ) was born uniquely pure of sin – to bring salvation to
all mankind.

“For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who
is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign to you: You will find a Babe
wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.” Luke 2:11-12.
He was born to pay
the price of our sins
and remove the
barrier between us
and God.
“Behold! The Lamb of
God which takes away
the sin of the world!”
John 1:29b.

“That He by the grace of God should taste death for

every man.” Hebrews 2:9b.
Jesus Christ lived an unblemished life and was the only one qualified
to pay the penalty for the sins of the world.

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we
beheld His glory, the glory of the only begotten Father, full of
grace and truth. John 1:14
For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize
with our weakness, but in all points tempted as we are, yet
without sin. Hebrews 4:15
As it was prophesied
hundreds of years
before, He became
despised and rejected
by men (Isa 53:3) who
unjustly condemned
and nailed Jesus Christ
to a cross.

But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our
iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His
stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5.
While there on the
cross, God poured
out the sins of the
world onto Christ and
judged them.

Jesus Christ willingly bore

all humanity’s sins in His
own body and died so
we could have eternal
life (1Peter 2:24a).

The barrier
of sin was
removed.
His lifeless body was placed in a guarded
tomb. However, three days later God
resurrected Jesus Christ to proclaim to
humanity complete victory over death.

It (righteousness) shall be imputed to us who believe in Him who raised

up Jesus our Lord from the dead, who was delivered up because of
our offences, and was raised because of our justification. Romans 4:24-25
Jesus Christ’s death, resurrection
and ascension were witnessed
by many (1 Cor 15:4-8).

These witnesses spread the

Good News of Salvation
(the Gospel) around the world.
Today, the choice
of salvation now rests
with YOU. The sin barrier
has been removed and
no one has to remain
separated from God.

Jesus Christ
is the only door
and the only way
to an eternal
relationship with
God.

It is a gift to you which you can

either accept or reject.
The Problem: Mankind was created with free will. God cannot
and will not force you to be saved. Sadly, if you reject Christ’s
sacrifice on your behalf – you choose to remain
eternally separated from God.
The Solution: If you believe
on the Lord Jesus Christ, you will be
saved (Act 16:31a).

The price has been fully paid.

The moment you believe in Christ

you are brought into an eternal
relationship with God.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only

begotten son, that whoever believes in Him shall
not perish but have everlasting life – John 3:16.
The choice is yours!
Everlasting life in heaven is a free gift given by God. We don’t work
for it, we can’t earn it. All we do is accept it by believing Jesus Christ
died on our behalf.

For the wages of sin is death,

but the gift of God is eternal
life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 6:23

Will you accept God’s gracious gift of eternal salvation

or will you reject it?
Like all gifts, it only become yours when you accept it.
This is the Good News the Bible declares:
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved... Acts 16:3

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son
(Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in Him should not perish but
have everlasting life. John 3:16

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of
yourselves; it is a gift of God not of works, lest anyone should boast.
Ephesians 2:8 -9

But God demonstrates His love towards us, in that while we were still
sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in
Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23

He who believes in the Son (Jesus Christ) has everlasting life; and he
who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God
abides on him. John 3:36
