The Importance of Breakfast

Breakfast is an important meal that benefits our health. However, many people skip breakfast
because they are busy or even drink tea or coffee in the morning. Even though skipping breakfast
can cause adverse effects on our health. Of course, breakfast has a lot of benefits for our body in
carrying out daily activities. Here are 5 reasons why breakfast is important for our health.

First, with breakfast we can increase our concentration and focus both when studying, working,
and doing other activities. When we are hungry, it is usually difficult for us to concentrate on
doing an activity. Therefore, before we start our activities, we need to have breakfast with good
and nutritious food such as eggs, milk, and fruits. These foods will help improve brain
performance so that we are able to concentrate and focus more when doing activities. Especially
when we do heavy physical activities or study or school of course it requires a high level of
concentration and focus. Having a high level of concentration while studying will certainly help
us have good academic grades at school.

Secondly, by having breakfast we will avoid diseases. Starting the day with a nutritious and
vitaminized breakfast will help us to avoid diseases such as anemia, and acid reflux, and also
according to research can help us to avoid type two diabetes and heart disease in the long run. In
addition, eating breakfast can reduce the risk of obesity. When we don't start the day with a
healthy breakfast, it is likely that during the day to night, we will have an uncontrollable appetite.
So it can cause us to eat unhealthy foods and have a high-calorie level.

Third, breakfast can provide good energy needs for activities. What happens when we skip
breakfast is that our body will feel weak and we often feel dizzy. Therefore, it is important for us
not to skip breakfast and choose the right food for breakfast. The body certainly needs good
energy and also enough to do activities, especially in the morning. When the body has good and
sufficient energy, it can also increase our productivity.

Fourth, breakfast can increase the body's metabolism. To increase the body's metabolism, of
course, we need to eat healthy foods at breakfast such as foods that contain carbohydrates, iron,
vitamins, and protein. Maintaining the body's metabolism is also very important for our health.

And finally, breakfast can help control our mood. Eating foods that have balanced nutrition can
help control thoughts, moods, and behavior. If we have a good mood when starting the day, we
will be more energized to carry out our daily activities. It can also help us avoid stress and
anxiety.

With the many benefits of breakfast, it is expected that we will never skip breakfast. Not only
that, we also need to choose the right food that is healthy and contains balanced nutrition for
breakfast. That way, we can avoid various diseases and also be more focused and energized in
carrying out our activities.
