• Suppose you meet a new friend from the USA. How
would you describe Bangladesh to her?
Bangladesh is a beautiful and culturally rich country located in South
Asia. It's known for its lush green landscapes, meandering rivers, vibrant
festivals, and warm-hearted people. The capital, Dhaka, is a bustling city with
a mix of tradition and modernity. The majority of the people follow Islam
here, but people of every religion live here in peace and harmony.
Bangladesh has made signi icant progress in various ields since its
liberation. Its unique culture, delicious cuisine, and diverse heritage make it a
fascinating place to explore!
• What are the reasons/events that make you feel
proud/happy to be Bangladeshi?
There are quite a few reasons for why I am proud to be Bangladeshi:
• Bangladeshis are brave and valiant. We have set a great example of
bravery and spirit in the liberation war.
• Bangladesh has a rich cultural heritage. It has traditional festivals,
dances, events, and its culture is deeply rooted in art, music, and
literature.
• The natural beauty of Bangladesh is second to none. It has scenic
landscapes, abundant rivers, and the world’s largest mangrove forest, the
Sunderbans.
• Bangladeshi society places a strong emphasis on family values,
respect for elders, and close-knit communities, which are cherished and
upheld by many.

• What are issues that make you sad about
Bangladesh? How things can be changed?
The issues that make me sad about Bangladesh are:
• The country's high population density puts immense pressure on its
resources and infrastructure.
• Bangladesh is prone to natural disasters like cyclones, loods, and
landslides, causing loss of lives, displacement, and damage to property.
• Rivers in Bangladesh su er from pollution due to industrial and
agricultural runo , a ecting both human health and aquatic life.
• Corruption remains a challenge in various sectors and it impedes the
country's progress and development.
In my opinion, both our professionals and general people have to work
hand in hand to overcome these issues and change things for good. Steps
should be taken by the administration and the citizens also have to be
supportive and work accordingly.
• What are the opportunities of Bangladesh in the
coming days?
The opportunities of Bangladesh in the coming days are:
• To further boost industries such as textiles, garments, agriculture. As
our country has a huge population, converting them into manpower will
help us grow.
• The government has been investing in infrastructure projects,
including transportation networks, energy, and communication, which will
enhance connectivity and economic development.
• As a coastal country, Bangladesh has opportunities to explore and
utilize its marine resources, such as isheries, aquaculture, and marine
tourism, to support economic growth.
