SLAG POT CARRIERS
Kress Slag Pot Carriers have been in operation since 1965. The carriers’ compact design
and fully articulated steering offer exceptional maneuverability for operation in confined
areas. Each carrier is engineered for continuous operation in harsh environments with
designs available for difficult access applications.
Each Kress carrier is designed to handle a specific slag pot as well as to accommodate
the production requirements and dimensional limitations of each individual job site.
The design of each carrier is
determined by the slag weight
to be moved, operating
procedures and haul conditions,
with the vehicle dimensions
governed by the size and
configuration of the slag pot.
Kress Slag Pot Carriers are
available in capacities up to
300 tonnes.
SLAB CARRIERS
Kress Slab Carriers provide an efficient method of performing hot/cold slab handling,
transportation, and field storage functions. Through the use of onboard, high-lift hydraulic
tongs, each slab can be handled directly from any surface without the need for pallets or
cranes. The tongs also allow the carrier operator to split and sort slab piles with ease,
proving beneficial in field storage yards.
Kress articulated Slab Carriers are “U” frame type with an articulated steering hitch
connection between the rear load-carrying portion and the front prime mover.

PALLET CARRIERS
Kress Pallet Carriers are high-capacity
transport machines designed for continuous
operation in harsh environments with the
flexibility of handling any material utilizing
a pallet system.
Articulated steering and a narrow overall
width provide exceptional maneuverability
for access into confined areas. The vehicle
wheelbase and overall width can be tailored
to meet specific application requirements.
A dumping option is also offered on
select models.
Kress Pallet Carriers are available in
capacities up to 400 tonnes.
LADLE CARRIERS
Kress Ladle Carriers are designed expressly
for ladle transport and feature self-loading/
unloading functionality. Excellent operator
visibility allows for precise positioning of the
ladle onto the ground or fixed stands. Kress
also offers a dumping and/or side-shift
control option on select models.
Kress Ladle Carriers are available in
capacities up to 500 tonnes.
STRADDLE CARRIERS
Kress Straddle Carriers are cost-
efficient machines ideally suited for
transporting hot/cold products such as
slabs, blooms and coils.
Designed with high-lift hydraulic tongs for
excellent flexibility, they can pass over
storage yard rows fully laden as well as
access confined plant areas. Featuring
unrivaled maneuverability, Kress Straddle
Carriers are capable of traveling through
even the most high density stockyards
– providing rapid transport and
loading/unloading cycles.
Kress Straddle Carriers are available
in a variety of configurations with load
capacities up to 150 tonnes.
