Introduction
‘Our objective in establishing these Rules and Regulations is to
provide guidance for natural GAS Contractors, Consultants, and
Consumers regarding SEWA 's requirements. Compliance with
these rules and regulations is essential for safety and is also a
legal requirement.
However, readers should note that the Rules and Regulations are
not intended to act as a design specification. Compliance is
intended to ensure that an installation is essentially free from
hazard. It does not guarantee that the installation will be efficient,
convenient or will meet other user requirements.RULES & REGULATIONS

“The gos meter should always be fixed atthe boundary wall there are multiple gas
meters are fixed inside the plot (sheds, labor camp and shops)
For schools, the gas meter should be fixed at the boundary wall with protection
For any riser inside the school should be covered and protected with aluminum lou
vered cover,
For the internal gas installation for schoo! laboratory, Gl pipes can be used till safety
valve, copper pipe for above ground and soft copper inside PVC sleeve (Only inside the
laboratory room) but without any joint underground.
For shopping malls, all gs meters should be fixed a the gas meter room for easy
access (in case of emergency)
For the basement with natural vent and above the ground level either part of the
basement, we can use 2°61 or (2x32" PEX). GI pipe will be installed inthe basement
And the gas pressure should not exceed 75mbar.

regulator n the gas meter room,
* Should not pass any other service through the gas meter room and it should only be
used for gas meters
For commercial project which requires higher flow and @ lot of gas meters if there is no
space for risers or gas meter at the groun floor, we can install the primary regulators
atthe ground floor. The outlet pipe rises til gas meter room and aRer we can arrange
