One accumulator is fitted in each system to damp out engine driven pump
pulsations and to maintain a constant pressure during normal operation to
cover transient demands.
PRESSURE MONITORING
Pressure in the system is monitored by
S Pressure switches which detect any abnormal pressure
S pressure transmitters for indications on the ECAM.
HSMU
The Hydraulic System Monitoring Unit (HSMU) monitors each of the hydraulic
systems and provides the associated indications.

SYSTEM USERS
The flight control supply is evenly divided between the three hydraulic systems.
Redundancy provides at least two different power sources for most of the
hydraulic system users.
In the event of low pressure, large power consumers are isolated to give
priority to the primary flight controls.
The Constant Speed Motor/Generator (CSM/G) in the Green System provides
electrical power in emergency conditions.
A hand pump in the Yellow System is provided for the manual operation of the
cargo doors.
