National crafts Museum:-

The National Handicrafts and Handlooms


Museum (NHHM) commonly known as
National Crafts Museum in New Delhi is
one of the largest crafts museums in
India. It is run by the Ministry of Textiles,
Government of India. The museum is
situated on the corner of the Pragati
Maidan, facing the Purana Qila complex.
[1] In 2015, the Government of India
announced that a Hastkala (handicrafts)
Academy would be established in the
museum premises, converting some
galleries into classrooms. Initial
renovations destroyed one of the
museum's most well-known artifacts, a
room of murals painted by Madhubani
artist Ganga Devi, leading to widespread
criticism.[2][3] As of 2019, renovations
are still ongoing.
Bhuta Sculpture-:

religious cult of coastal Karnataka (bhuta
cult is ascertained primarily in the
coastal Dakshina Kannada zone which is
populated by the Tulu speaking people

Crafts Museum Delhi include carven
wooden builds of the bhuta, ethnic
divinities of coastal Karnataka,
Chhattisgarh's tribal bronzes,
Gujarat's carven wooden
architecture, jharokha (balcony),
embellished, bejewelled hangings
and many other art objects.
 Natural dyes-:
Most natural dyes are vegetable
dyes, the main sources of which are
various parts of plants such as roots,
stems, seeds, barks, leaves and wood.
Different types of
handicraft-:
Macrame art-:
Macramé is a type of textile created
using knotting techniques, as
opposed to weaving or knitting. The
knots are square and form full-hitch
and double half-hitches. The craft
required only inexpensive and
accessible materials like cotton twine,
hemp, leather or yarn, with various
beads used to enhance the piece.
 Resin Art

Resin art is created when a running


chemical called epoxy is combined
with various colours and pigments to
create beautiful patterns and designs.
It is a beautiful medium to create
pieces of art in any form because
when it dries it harden to create.
Embroidery Art:-
embroidery, art of decorating
material, primarily textile fabric, by
means of a needle and thread (and
sometimes fine wire). The basic
techniques include crewel work,
needlepoint, cross-stitch embroidery,
and quilting, as well as quillwork and
featherwork
Handmade candel-:

This simply means that the melted


wax is mixed with any fragrance and
poured into the candle vessel by
hand. Hand-poured candles are
typically made in smaller batches and
may have a more artisan feel.
Crochet Art-:
cro·chet krō-ˈshā : needlework done
by forming and weaving loops in a
thread with a hooked needle.
 Delhi haat:-

Sketch making-:

or painting in which an artist notes
down his preliminary ideas for a work
that will eventually be realized with
greater precision and detail. The term
also applies to brief creative pieces
that per se may have artistic merit.
