ACTIVATED BROWN RICE (GABA BROWN)
‘This Rice Cooker has two settings for cooking brown rice. The GABA BROWN setting on the menu activates brown
rice for increased nutritional value.
CePA TWO eu oH
When GABA BROWN is selected on the menu, the Rice Cooker will begin activating the brown rie, ater which it
will start cooking automaticaly. During the brown rice activation process, the temperature in the Inner Cooking
Pan is kepl al approx. 104°F (approx. 40°C) for approx. 2 hours. Cooking wil take longer to complete.
+ See "ESTIMATED COOKING TIME"
By activating brown rice, GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid), a naturally occurring nutient in brown rice, increases
to about 150% of the amount contained in non-aetivated brown rice. This process also makes brown rice softer,
thus making it readily edible.
