MOTIVATION LETTER

All my life, I wanted to be an excellent engineer and to do something significant for my country. My
main interest from secondary school level was in Physics and Mathematics, although I had always
academically excelled in almost all my subjects which helped me to get the govt. Scholarships in different
level of educations. Those achievements were driving moments for me to accomplish my dream and to
become a Mechanical Engineer.

I have completed my B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Islamic University of


Technology which is one of the top-notch engineering universities in Bangladesh and a
subsidiary organ of OIC. During the tenure of my Undergraduate program, I have facilitated
deeply from the breadth of IUT's course curriculum, and it has given me a comprehensive
exposure to the core areas of Mechanical Engineering and a strong conceptual understanding of
engineering problems. I was being taught there by the finest and smartest of minds. My
undergraduate thesis was related to "Vibration reduction of a rectangular plate" and to do that we
had to use software like Ansys, AutoCAD, etc. With the help of our University authority got the
chance to visit different types of Factories also such as Power plant, Automobile company,
Fertilizer Company, etc. which helped me to enrich my knowledge a lot.
After completing my Graduation from IUT, I started my career as an Assistant Engineer at
"Bashundhara LP Gas Limited" the market leader in the Oil and Gas sector in Bangladesh. I was
involved in different positions such as Plant Coordination, Technical support for Industries and
households, Autogas station layout design with installation and commissioning, and designing
upcoming Mega projects considering all kinds of Health and safety compliance's and explosive
rules and regulations. Later on, I was able to get myself involved directly in the installation and
commissioning of the Cylinder manufacturing plant which has the largest capacity and the latest
technology. Under the direct supervision of my Project Head, I was lucky enough to gather in-
depth knowledge regarding project coordination, ensure the proper implementation of project
elements, project management, cost calculation, etc. Based on my performance, later on, I was
appointed as the Project Engineer for the Powder Coating Paint project and got the chance to
visit the supplier's factory in Italy to inspect the machinery and gather knowledge on how to
install them. Successfully installed and commissioned the Powder Coat paint project and
throughout this journey, it was a great experience for me to learn so many things which are state-
of-the-art technology. Involved with different projects I got the chance to work with Engineers
from different countries and it helped me to coordinate with multi-cultural dimensions. Going
through numerous training and discovering new ways of Engineering and smart techniques of
troubleshooting helped me to understand a lot about mechanical, electrical, and automation
processes, etc. Another achievement for me was, I got the opportunity to play a pivotal role to
implement an ERP-based SAP S4 HANA software in our Plant and successful completion of this
project got me a reward from our Company. At present, I am looking after the Cylinder
manufacturing plant & Powder Coat Paint plant as a Mechanical Maintenance engineer.
I have always wanted to work with something related to the Fuel and Energy sector. LP Gas is a
clean, safe and eco-friendly fuel. Major portion of consumed LP Gas is basically import based.
But it can't fulfill the demand for power and energy sufficiently. During the inception of my
career, I have visited many plants where they wanted to run their generators through LP Gas as
they had Power shortage, rather it has increased because of the global crisis. Day by day it

becomes evident that we need advanced knowledge for improving the capacity and quality of
renewable energy systems so that it can help to release some burden off the Gas sector we are
dependent on.
Despite having enough power plants to meet our demands, because of a worldwide energy crisis
caused by the pandemic and recent global issues have prompted our government to reinstate
continuous power outages. At present only three percent of generated electricity in our country
comes from renewable sources. However, to resolve the present scenario and think about future
demand, the Bangladesh government is planning a strategy that emphasizes the reconstruction of
renewable energy resources having sophisticated research facilities and skilled manpower for
exploration activities in both inland and offshore areas. Considering my previous experience and
the present field interest, I want to study in the Master of Engineering in "Energy and
Environmental Management in Developing Countries" program which will enhance my insight
into environmentally friendly power frameworks, renewable energy policy, and energy
efficiency. This program has the potential to teach us to recognize problems and solutions in
entirety, creativity, and openness to innovation. The most important part of this program is to
develop personal traits such as the ability to think and communicate in interdisciplinary,
intercultural ways, to work in a team, and to lead and motivate teams. With this knowledge, I can
serve my country and also can help the upcoming generation of our country.
During my undergraduate study, I was attached to various social organizations and helped to
organize different events as a volunteer. During the time of the Covid 19 pandemic, we built two
Charity Fund organizations named Thrive Bangladesh & People's Ranga Provat, through them,
we helped numerous numbers of people with money and other basic needs. Participated in Two
nation Energy fair to represent my Company on the national level. I believe those activities have
helped me to evolve my inner soul and gained more leadership qualities.
I am confident that completing a Master of Engineering in "Energy and Environmental
Management in Developing Countries" would provide me the opportunities to attend advanced
courses and perform significant original research which will help me to pursue my dream and do
something for my country. I am aware that the University of Flensburg has high standards for
admitting students to its graduate programs. I have experience in both academic and industrial
aspects that's why I strongly believed that it will help me to gain admission to this esteemed
program Master of engineering. It will be a matter of great pride for me to be a part of this
University.

and sustainable technologies program.As an ambitious and driven student with a background in mechanical
engineering , I am eager to pursue advanced knowledge and skills in the field of manufacturing technologies
and industry 4.0.

During my undergraduate studies, I had the opportunity to work on several projects related to digital
manufacturing and automation, which sparked my interest in the field. I was fascinated by the potential of these
technologies to transform the manufacturing industry and improve productivity, efficiency, and
sustainability.Since then, I have been pursuing opportunities to gain more knowledge and skills in this field.

My academic background in mechanical engineering has given me a strong foundation in fundamental


concepts such as mechanics, thermodynamics, and materials science. I have also taken advanced courses in
manufacturing processes, such as computer aided design(CAD), computer-aided manufacturing(CAM), and
mechatronics. I have consistently been a top performer in my courses and have received several academic
awards and scholarships for my achievements.

In addition to my academic background, I have gained relevant work experience through internships and
projects with leading manufacturing companies. For example, during my internship with ABC Manufacturing, I
was involved in the development of an automated production line for a new product. This experience gave me
practical skills in areas such as product design, as well as exposusre to cutting-edge technologies such as 3D
printing and virtual reality.

I believe that the Manufacturing4.0 program is the perfect fit for me, as it offers a comprehensive education in
intelligent and sustainable manufacturing technologies, digital manufacturing, and Industry 4.0. I am particularly
interested in the program’s focus on advanced topics such as artificial intelligence, big data analytic , and the
internet of things, which I believe will be critical for the future of the manufacturing industry.

Moreover, I am excited about the opportunity to study in an international and multicultural environment.I have
always been fascinated by different culutures and have actively sought opportunities to learn about them.

In summary, I am committed to pursuing a career in the manufacturing industry and contributing to the
development of innovative and sustainable technologies. I believe that the Manufacturing 4.0 program will
provide me with the knowledge, skills, and international experience to achieve my goals and make a positive
