Poem: Hard is the journey


Summary:
In this poem the poet “Li po” has described about treasure. He mentions
about expensive, rare and tasteful treasure. Then the tone of poem
changes and there is tension. He seems to have a restless heart. He is
unable to eat. He sees obstacles from threatening climate. The
unfavorable yellow river to the heights of Tai-hang mountains are in his
way. He refers to the difficulty of journey with phrase “Hard is the
journey”. But finally, the weather is fair and he is ready to set sail. The
poem shows poet’s optimistic and heroic attitude towards future.
