INTRODUCTION:
Microsoft Word is a word processor application that is part of the Microsoft
Office Suite.
Microsoft Office Suite is a set of powerful applications that are designed to
provide a rich set of tools for almost every conceivable business task for a small
or large business or organisation. A word processing application to create and
edit letters, articles, newsletters, flyers, and any other text-based documents.
Microsoft Word is developed by Microsoft. It was first released on October
25,1983, under the name Multi Tool Word for Xenis System.

USES OF MS WORD:
• Creating text documents.
• Editing and formatting the existing documents.
• Making a text document interactive with different features and tools.
• Graphical documents, comprising images.
• Detect grammatical errors in a text document.

FOOTER
• A Header is text that is placed at the top of a page.
• A Footer is placed at the bottom margin of page.

FIND AND
REPLACE
• The Find pane helps nyou find characters,words and phrases.To open the Find pane
from the edit view,press Ctrl+F.
• The Replace found text : select the magnifying glass and then select replace.

BORDER
• The set of lines ,design shapes, images, text boxes, boundaries, and colorful graphics
that are added in Word to make documents more attractive and beautiful.

SMARTART
• SmartArt refers to the range of graphics available in Word that you can use to create
diagrams, such as flow charts, process charts, organisation charts, and the like.

WATER MARK
• A watermark is a light and faded image of text, picture, and logo that appears behind the
main content of the document.

COMPUTER
• A computer is an electronic machine
that processes raw data to give
information as output. An electronic
device that accepts data as input, and
transforms it under the influence of a set
of special instructions called Programs,
to produce the desired output (referred
to as Information).

KEYBOARD
• A computer keyboard is an input device
used to enter characters and functions
into the computer system by pressing
buttons, or keys. It is the primary device
used to enter text. A keyboard typically
contains keys for individual letters,
numbers and special characters, as well
as keys for specific functions.
MOUSE
• A computer mouse (plural mice, also
mouses) is a hand-held pointing device
that detects two-dimensional motion
relative to a surface. This motion is
typically translated into the motion of
the pointer (called a cursor) on a display,
which allows a smooth control of the
graphical user interface of a computer.
JOYSTICK
• A joystick is a hand-held input device
used to control the movement or actions
of a digital object on a computer screen.
It typically consists of a handle or a lever
that can be tilted or pushed in different
directions to provide input to a computer
or a gaming console.
SCANNER
• A scanner is a device that captures
images from photographic prints,
posters, magazine pages and similar
sources for computer editing and display.
Scanners work by converting the image
on the document into digital information
that can be stored on a computer through
optical character recognition (OCR).
MONITOR
• A monitor is an electronic output device
used to display information being entered
and processed on a computer. The
primary use of a monitor is to display
images, text, video, and graphics
information generated by the computer
via a computer's video card.
PROJECTOR
• A projector is an output device that
presents images onto a projection screen
and can be connected to a computer, and
can replace a monitor or television to
project images to a big group of people.
Projectors come in various forms and
sizes and are used in auditoriums and
movie theatres.
PRINTER
• A printer is a device that accepts text and
graphic output from a computer and
transfers the information to paper,
usually to standard-size, 8.5" by 11"
sheets of paper. Printers vary in size,
speed, sophistication and cost.
SPEAKER
• The cone and the dust cap (the parts that
move air and produce sound) The spider
and the surround (also called the
suspension, these are the parts that hold
the cone in place while still allowing
them to move) The magnet and the voice
coil (the parts that interact to convert
electric energy into motion) The basket.
