Problem Solution

Over 10,000 species are facing extinction due to hunting, habitat destruction, and other human activities. All species play crucial roles in nature, but some are being killed or having their habitats destroyed for non-essential human reasons. Following the "Three R" rule of reduce, reuse, recycle can help endangered species by reducing resource usage and pollution, protecting habitats. Conservation organizations work to protect endangered species and educate people, and individuals can help by donating time or money, or spreading awareness of these organizations' work. The number of endangered species continues to rise at an alarming rate, but collective human efforts, such as recycling and supporting conservation groups, can help save many species from extinction.

Saving Endangered Species

Time magazine reported that over ten thousand species are facing extinction. Many
have already gone extinct and, more of these species will become extinct if certain
precautions are not taken. Hunting for food, for fun, mining the earth, and destroying the
habitats, all these actions put endangered species in a tough situation. They lose their home
which they can’t live without, and because we hunt them without any constraint and
sometimes illegally, their number decreases rapidly and puts them on the brink of extinction.
But of course, there are some things we can do to help endangered species.

More and more animals are being listed on the endangered species list. All kinds of
species play a crucial role in natural balance without them nature can’t thrive properly. We
indeed need to feed humanity and we have specific animals for that, and these animals can’t
go extinct as they are carefully monitored. But some animals are being killed for things that
are not necessary for humans or human life. The same thing goes for plants and trees, we
collect them more than we need, and we do nothing to replace them sometimes. Without
them, sickness rates would rise, and number of some invasive species would start to elevate.
For example, if predators were to disappear herbivorous animals’ number would rise which
means they would eventually consume all the grass in the area faster than it could regrow.
This would result in the destruction of the habitat. Coral reefs for example play one of the
most essential roles in nature as they hold an immense amount of carbon dioxide and keep
it inside to protect the environment.

Three R rule is the easiest way to help endangered species, and it might be the most
efficient way if it is done and supported properly. This rule is also known as recycle, reuse,
reduce and everyone can do all these things with ease. This will reduce the number of
resources needed from nature and will reduce the total energy wasted. In a way, this
protects the habitats, animals, and plants, with the least effort. In other words, this will
reduce water and air pollution, and will reduce the number of natural resources we need to
use. All of these will help us to keep endangered species safe and these will also improve
your quality of life.

Conservation organizations try to protect endangered species and inform people as

much as they can, and you can help them in different ways. You can either donate money or
you can donate your time. Donating either of them will help a lot more than you can think
and you can spread the word and get more people like you to help them. Greenpeace for
example tries to reduce the damage done to nature which does help endangered species in
a way as it helps to maintain the natural balance. More people donating or helping these
organizations means that more threatened species will get out of the endangered list faster
than normal means.

The number of species being considered Endangered keeps increasing at alarming

rates. But that doesn’t mean we cannot stop this, and you can be part of it too simply by
recycling or just helping organizations. Of course, there are other ways to help if you have
the resources and time. With the collective power of humanity, we can save many species
from being extinct.
