LETTER FOR A COURSE
You have been studying English for several years in your own country, and you feel
that you would benefit from an eight-week intensive course for foreign students offered
by a college in England. Write a letter applying for a place on the course. starting
your reasons for choosing this particular college.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to apply for an eight-week intensive course for foreign students offered
by your college for the academic year beginning in October, 2024.

I am a second year student learning Linguistics in Nha Trang University. Since I

graduated from high school with a good-qualified degree, I have been working as a
collaborator for English newspapers online. For this year, I have been a teaching
assistant for a local Language Center.

I am learning the BA for Linguistics in my university, and I would aim to get the MD
when I finish my BA course. Furthermore, I have been studying English for 12 years
and I am an entrance valedictorian in my major. Currently, I try my best to obtain a
band 8.0 in the Ielts Examination.

I believe that I am the best suitable candidate for the course, and I am strongly keen on
studying more in the Language field. Nevertheless, I lack the formal qualifications and
training necessary to progress beyond my present level of education. A foundation
course would give me an opportunity to upgrade my knowledge in Language as well
as the culture in England which is the origin of my favorite language.

Your university has a superlatively great reputation in the field of Linguistics and
English culture. Moreover, this is the chance to directly approach England through my
vision instead of accosting through social media. When I successfully complete this
course, I would have more opportunities to be employed in international companies,
even in England - my dream place.

Please find enclosed a copy of my CV, giving further details of my education

qualifications and work experience. I hope you will consider my application and look
forward to hearing from you soon.

Yours faithfully,

Huynh Hoang Thuc Nhi
