Outline of An Essay

The author observes instances of racism and sexism at their workplace, a restaurant in downtown Green Bay, in order to bring awareness to subtle discriminatory behaviors that can often be overlooked or normalized. By paying close attention to interactions between coworkers and customers for a week, the author seeks to identify examples of prejudice based on race or gender that reflect unconscious biases still prevalent in professional settings. The reflection aims to make implicit discrimination more visible through conscious observation and documentation of problematic conduct.

Outline Of An Essay

Writing an essay on the topic "Outline of an Essay" may seem deceptively simple at first glance.
After all, it appears to be a straightforward task – creating a structure for an essay. However, delving
into the intricacies of this subject reveals the challenge that lies beneath the surface.

To start with, the irony is palpable. Drafting an outline for an essay about outlining is like attempting
to encapsulate the essence of a concept while remaining within the boundaries set by that very
concept. It demands a certain level of meta-cognition, requiring the writer to step back and critically
analyze the components that make up an effective essay structure.

One might grapple with the balance between brevity and completeness in delineating the sections of
an essay. Crafting a concise yet comprehensive outline involves a careful consideration of the key
elements such as introduction, thesis statement, body paragraphs, and conclusion. Ensuring that each
section aligns seamlessly with the others can be akin to solving a literary puzzle.

Furthermore, the process requires a keen understanding of the specific requirements of the essay in
question. Different types of essays – argumentative, descriptive, expository – necessitate distinct
organizational frameworks. Determining the most fitting structure for the essay topic at hand adds an
additional layer of complexity to the task.

Another hurdle is the need to maintain coherence and logical flow throughout the outline. Each point
should seamlessly connect to the next, guiding the reader through a clear and purposeful progression
of ideas. Achieving this cohesion requires not only a deep understanding of the topic but also a
mastery of language and rhetorical devices.

In conclusion, while the topic "Outline of an Essay" might seem straightforward, crafting a
compelling and effective essay outline proves to be a nuanced and challenging endeavor. It demands
a delicate balance of creativity, analytical thinking, and linguistic finesse to ensure that the resulting
outline serves as a robust foundation for the essay it represents.

Aseptic Technique
An aseptic technique ensures that only uncontaminated equipment and fluids come into
contact with susceptible body sites. It should be used during any clinical procedure that
bypasses the body s natural defences. Using the principles of aseptic minimises the
spread of organisms from one person to another.

An essential part of infection control is firstly identifying possible sources on infection,

and secondly the modes by which the infection might be spread. Any infection is caused
by one of four types of microorganisms, bacteria, viruses and protozoa. These organisms
can be carried by both the patients and the staff, and on any equipment used within the
practice. They can also be transferred outside the work place where patients may come
Hua Mulan Women
Throughout the history of the world, many races, religions, genders, sexuality and
many more have been oppressed for doing something out of the norm. But women
have gotten hit the hardest of them all. In almost all cultures of the world; women
were little more baby factories, and their only purpose was to keep house and child.
Prejudice against anybody is based off nothing, and can lead to a much worse encounter.
The women of ancient China were hardworking, but all wanted to be a housewife
forever; certainly not Hua Mulan. In an ancient land of worm like dragons, misty
mountain crags, and gorgeously elaborate buildings; not all was peaceful. Several wars
are documented in ancient Chinese history. When a new war broke out, and the hillsides

She sat weaving on a loom all day and all night. Weaving, and weaving; keeping her
rightful place as a woman in a Chinese household. When Hua Mulan ventured out to
obtain ingredients for that night s supper; she saw on the wall of her village twelve
army drafting scrolls. Mulan rushed over to scrolls; she worried that she would find
her father s name on the list. For that was the custom; one man of each family must go
and serve in the war at hand. Mulan dropped her bags of produce as she saw her father
s name on each and every list. That night as her sorrows subsided; Mulan concluded
that it must be she who went to fight in the army. For her father was too old and frail;
walking with a cane. Yet her brother was too young and vigorous; only a tot at the
time. In the next weeks Mulan went to the East market to buy a swift steed to carry
her into battle, to the West market to buy a saddle, to the South Market to buy a bridle,
and lastly to the North market to buy a long whip. The next morning; Mulan fled from
her home in sadness. That first night alone; she slept next to the quiet gurgling of the
Yellow River. The next day, and for the next twelve years she fought with men along the
Yellow River s banks; never hearing the calls of her father and
Essay On Footwork In Volleyball
On the whole; volleyball can be very difficult, one thing that makes it so hard is
passing. There are two ways to pass; the fore arm pass also known as the bump, and
the set. A bump is when the player sticks out their arms with their forearms to the sky.
This creates a flat surface for the ball to land on and bump up. As the ball is
approaching the player they get lower to the ground like a squat and raise themselves
as they contact the ball. The set is when the player raises their hands and creates a
diamond with their index fingers and thumbs. The rest of the fingers are spread out to
cover more space on the ball. It is very light with little to no rotation, the set is hard to
do but when it is perfected; it helps the game greatly. Foot work and the position of the
ball helps a lot too. Footwork helps in getting the ball up in the air for the setter to do
their job and keep the game going. Footwork is a necessary part in volleyball. Ball
placement is also very important... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If the player is not at the right place at the right time, the ball is going to hit the court.
A very important element for positioning is footwork. Without proper footwork, the
game known as volleyball would be very difficult. The player needs to have quick feet
and know where to step and when. Speed is also very important; volleyball has a lot of
movement to it. Moving up to the net and then moving back to hit, then moving up
and back repeat. To do it right, speed is very important to have. Awareness on the court
is necessary, the players need to know who is where and where is the ball. Without
awareness the player runs the risk of getting hit by the ball and losing the game for the
team. Finally, the last aspect to positioning is quick thinking. The player needs to know
where to hit the ball and which way to pass very fast. Also setters need to know who to
set in order to get a good hit for the
Can A Machine Know Essay
One of the most biased and controversial topics in the field of philosophy is that of a
statement, and the questioning of Can a machine know. The problems associating and
surrounding this topic are endless, because of all the different biases, reasonable and
skeptical thoughts that people contribute to the discussions. On an occasion when this
turmoil question comes up an individual might be comparing and thinking that a plain
toaster is a machinewhich is true and yet someone else compares the newest
breakthrough in technology such as a robot and they might say that its knows what it is
doing. However in the end of each discussion there is a doubt, this simple emotion, this
chemical imbalance that makes you think of what you just... Show more content on

The company Honda has made a robot that they say is by far the most advanced one in
the world today, they quote on quote have said it is just like us. The robot has the
ability to talk shake hands and perform the mechanical functions that an individual
may have, yet in the end the robot was programmed to raise its arm and move it up and
down when someone else does, so it mimics your moves and looks up the possible
outcomes in its data base, this is NOT an example of a real human. A human has the
ability to process the knowledge or what you have said to him or her and have his own
opinion and bias towards the conversation or the activity that he or she is involved in,
where as a robot just performs the task that it is given and programmed to do, if you
were to insult the machine in any ways it would not talk back nor would it be hurt by
your actions. Hondas robot just performs the tasks that it is programmed to do such as
walk on black circular lines. What I am getting at is a machine just performs the tasks it
is made to do with no regret bias or any feelings towards the function.

Knowledge, what exactly is it, how can it be classified, an abstract thought that mingles
along the deepest permanent curves of our brain or something more real that we can

Workplace Reflection Essay
There are racial things happening all around us every day but many times people can
block it out or don t notice it because it seems normal. This week I decided to watch
and see what racial or gender type things happen at my place of work. I work at a
restaurant in downtown Green Bay, it a bit more expensive than most places. I m
going to cover the way customers are served and how they are treated and how things
are a little more advanced in the kitchen staff. First of all, I am a host at the restaurant
so I watch closely to make sure all tables are getting service, when a table is first sat the
tableis greeted by the server in a happy tone Usually if the customers reply back in a
happy way and friendly way that table will get more attention from the server throughout
their time at the restaurant. When the customer tends to treat the server more as a servant
and not as a real person the servers tendto not check up on the table as much because the
table doesn t seem friendly. Another thing I noticed is that when a table sits and they
are dressed nicely and servers my pay more attention to them compared to a table that
is in sweatpants. Servers pay more attention to the tables that are dressed nicely
because they expect them to tip better, I have seen this first hand with two tables sat at
about the same time and the family dressed nicer tip decently and the table in sweats
tipped 74 cents on a $35 bill. Now I know that I don t know the financial backgrounds
of these two families but this is a more expensive restaurant so customers tend to spend
more than going to a Red Robins. Another factor in how you are served at a restaurant
is younger couples and elderly couples are less likely to tip well. Younger couples tend
to be seen as not having significant funds to pay and tip well. Elderly couples are seen
as small tippers because they are used to saving and a lower tipping percentage. For a
long time the tipping percentage was 15% percent but over the last few years, it has
been raised to about 18% to 20%. Next, I want to talk about how usually when you think
of a restaurants kitchen staff you may think low income men maybe even Mexican. At
the restaurant, I work at we have a wide variety of people that work
Deep Ecology And Environmental Pragmatism
The concept of sustainability is becoming an ever more relevant and popular ideology
today. Many college campuses take great pride in their sustainability, they take many
steps to ensure that their garbage output, water usage and other various items are
sustainable or working towards that goal. In areas outside of the college camps setting
however, sustainabilityis often hard to reach due to a wide array of concepts, including
deep ecologyand environmental pragmatism. I believe the two key points (of the 8)
behind deep ecology is that humans have no right to reduce the richness and diversity of
our natural resources, and that human interference with the non human world is
excessive (Naess 3). Simply put, deep ecology is a push back against our over use of
resources, with a goal to hardly use them at all. This concept occasionally goes together
with the view held by many on environmental pragmatism, but the two often collide with
each other. Environmental pragmatism involves the basic concept that humans are part
of the environment and that this must be taken into account with its management(Light 3).
This means that humans historical and cultural uses of the land must be taken into
account with its management, even if it is not the best option for the land management.
These two perspectives can come together to create a more sustainable environment, but
they more often have very extreme differences of how to manage an area, and this is
when wicked problems can
Bullying in Social Networks
Bullying in Social Networks

Bullying in Social Networks Technology, it seems has unleashed an ugliness in us.

(Pitts, 2010, p. 8A.) With all the technology around us, one would assume that it
should be used for good. However, people today are using social networks such
Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, Skype, Youtube and many more, not only as a way to
keep in contact with people but as a way to attack people. Technology has evolved into
this great thing where, one all can keep in touch with family members or high school
friends from the past or the present. I have used some of these social networks to keep
in touch with my own family members and peers. It s simple, one basically goes to the

We need to use what we have and use it to strengthen and help others not weaken and
knock down our fellow citizen. Sadly, many people use networking for viscous deeds.
If one knows that he is easily offended, it might be better to not even open an account
with a networking site. Yet if one does, it would be wise to limit it to close friends and
family as protection from this harsh society. Perhaps, sticking to old fashioned phone
calls, letter writing and going to visit that individual that you want to keep in contact
with. I remember back when I was in elementary school during lunch one spring day. I
recall walking into the cafeteria, and my friends waved me down to come join them. I
took cuts in line because I wanted to be with them and catch up on all the latest
gossip. I managed to get in line without the lunch lady seeing me. I began talking with
my friends, when this snooty girl looked at me and said, What do you think you re
doing? I ignored her because I simply didn t care. I continued chatting with the girls
until, I get shoved by this girl as she scolded me. Being a strong willed child, I had told
her to shut up and leave me alone and returned to talking. The girl proceeded to grab
me and said, Look, I ll get my big brothers to kill you and burn you! She immediately
had my attention at kill and burn. I was scared to death of the girl. I was only in the
second or third grade when this had occurred. The girl
