Over the instant of time peoples acknowledge the power and destruction of life due to earthquake. Many
researchers believe that the earthquake did not kill the people but it is solely responsible for the destruction of
structures. The different structures like building, bridges, etc., are distorted due to a sudden lateral acceleration
generated during the earthquake.
There are many techniques that are developed through which the structure can make more stiff and strong to resist
seismic activity. Their responses to the seismic effect may be more or less but they provide some stability in
comparison to the ordinary structures. In India, there are four seismic zones in which the zone V is the major zone. To
provide high rise structure over these seismic zones, it is made compulsory to use any of the system which resists the
seismic forces. It is being now our compulsion to provide high skyscraper as the growing population of India as today
India is in the line of developing countries. As the population of India is growing rapidly but the land is limited. There is
no difficulty in providing small buildings but as we move up the lateral forces attack over the structure will be more and
thus it is our concern to make structure efficient against them. Out of many techniques developed RC braced frame is
one of the major technique to resist the lateral force effectively and make the structure sound to withstand against
seismic activity. RC braced frame is more economical than steel structure and more effective. In this study, we
understand the behaviour of seismic activity over structure under different zones having good and poor soil condition
and compare the RC braced frame with bare frame, RC frame with the shear wall. In the end, we get the results in
which we concluded that the RC braced frame effectively reduced the bending moment, shear force, and axial force
and if we talk about the storey displacement it gets tremendously reduced.
