Home remedies
Look at the photos below. What kinds of home remedies do people use to fix each of the
problems in the photos? Which home remedies have you used? Were they effective?
PREPARE

1. Look at common health problems people
search for on the internet. In groups,
choose two of the topics and talk about
tips you have heard of or tried.
• how to cure a cold
• how to sleep better
• how to lose weight quickly
• how to get rid of hiccups
• how to stop snoring
• how to reduce stress

2. Go online to research other tips for


each problem. Then share them with
your group.
PRESENT
Health tips
Work in small groups. Present the problems and tips you identified. Ask your
partners questions to find out more. Use the phrases to express belief and/or
disbelief.
