Inserting the batteries NOTE


0 When inserting the batteries, be sure to do so in the proper direction, following the

Switching the display’s brightness Switching the Pure Direct mode


The brightness of the display can be adjusted to one of four levels. When the Pure Direct mode is used, the display turns off and digital output
stops.

Using the timer play function


1 Turn on the power of the connected

Setting the Auto Standby mode


When Auto Standby mode is set to On, if the unit remains in the stopped
state and no operations are performed for approximately 30 minutes, the Turning Auto Standby mode on
unit automatically switches to standby mode.
The default setting is “Off”.
1 Press and hold POWER X on the remote control unit
for more than 5 seconds to turn the Auto Standby
mode on.

If a problem should arise, first check the following.

About discs and files


Music files recorded on CD-R/-RW and DVD-R/-RW/+R/+RW are divided
into large segments (folders) and small segments (files).
Files are stored in folders, and folders can be placed for storage in a
hierarchy. The unit can recognize up to 8 levels of folders.
