Subject : Awareness about Animal Rights
Sir/Madam
Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, | wish to
raise awareness about animal rights and the importance of
preserving them.
| am a student of Max Public School, Mumbai and | am
concerned about the extinction of wild animals nowadays.
Some animals are getting disappeared from the forests.
Deforestation, thirst for adventures, greed for money, and
other factors are all contributing to the extinction of wild
animals today. Animals, like humans, have the right to live
and also contribute to ecological balance. Despite the fact
that the government has launched numerous programmes
aimed at protecting wild animals, no positive results have
been achieved. Some people keep pet animals but do not
take proper care of them.
This is not called for and government agencies should create
laws to check and prevent such incidents. Many private
organizations are making efforts but legal intervention willmake strict implementation of rules.
| hope you would publish my concern in your widely read
newspaper.
Thank you

Subject: Need for Promoting Healthy Eating Routines
Sir/Madam
This is with reference to posters bearing the message of
‘crash diet’ being posted around our school premises. Such
posters impact the youngsters negatively and can be
hazardous for their self-esteem.
| would like to propose the idea of implementing
“Wholesome Lunch Month’ for all school students to counter
the implications of such misleading advertisements. This
initiative is sure to encourage all students to bring nutritious
and healthy lunch daily and develop healthy eating routines.
To ensure that this project gains strength, schools may
organize puppet shows, street plays, Ted Talks (by
Nutritionist/ Psychologist), to foster healthy eating routines
and a positive body image.
| request you to publish my concern in your widely read
newspaper in order to spread awareness about healthy
eating routines.

Subject: Issue of reckless driving
Sir
Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper | would
like to draw the attention of concerned authorities towardsthe increasing road rage on the roads in our city, leading to
countless accidents every day.
lam the resident of Rampur Road. | am worried about the
increasing road accidents due to reckless driving. We
generally notice people driving vehicles so fast. They forget
rules of the road in their carelessness or in hurry. Even
children below 18 years run the vehicles carelessly without a
license. Apart from this, the traffic police appear to be lazily
indifferent to the problem of road rage. Often the jumping of
red lights is ignored. Even after being caught red handed the
culprits are not punished because of their political
connections. If proper actions are not taken, road rages will
be grown as a serous issue.
The traffic police must act sincerely. There should be strict
actions against people who are involved in reckless driving
and aggressive behavior on the roads. The parents must also
be cautious in allowing their minor children to drive on roads.
| appeal to the concerned authorities to look into the issue
and do the needful.
| hope you will publish my concern in your widely read
newspaper.

Subject: Attacks on Old People
Sir
Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, | want to
aware people about the attacks on older folks. Old people
are generally physically weak. The result is that they can.t
overpower the rogues in the war of muscles, who generally
come to loot them.
Any resistance from the old people can prove detrimental to
their lives. In the locality of Safdarganj Area many incidents
of theft, snatching and brutal attacks on the old people have
already happened. It is duty of the government to protect thelives of their senior citizens. Thus, all measures for their
safety should be adopted to save old people. Though
repeated requests in this regard have been made to the
concerned authorities but no headway has still been done.
Perhaps the lines in your esteemed paper may shake the
authorities from their deep slumber.
Yours truly
