LADAKH HALL OF FAME: The Hall of Fame is a glorious museum constructed by the Indian Army. It is worth a visit for every citizen. You can see the memorabilia, eminent defense personalities with biographies, images
and weapons used during the Kargil and other key strategic battles fought in
Shanti Stupa in is a magnificent white-domed Buddhist monument located atop a steep hilltop at a dizzying height of 11,841 feet.
Sankar Gompa is located approximately 3 km from the main city and is well-known for its traditional architectural style. Inside the gompa, there is a figure of Avalokitesvara having 1,000 heads and arms.
LEH PALACE: Leh Palace was formed in the mold of Potala Royal residence of Lhasa and also lies on the Namgyal Hillside in Leh. It supervises Leh and also has numerous traditional influences, going back to centuries.
Namgyal Tsemo gompa is on the hilltop where hundreds of colourful prayer flags are floating in the wind.This Buddhist monastery rising above the city was founded during the 15th century. The main shrine contains a 3-
storey-tall statue of Maitreya Buddha and a number of statues of protector deities.

Phyang Gompa: Around 15 km from Leh, Phyang Monastery is one of the only two monasteries in Ladakh belonging to the Drikung Kagyu sect, the other being the Lamayuru Monastery. Phyang got its name from the blue mountain in its
backdrop called as Gang Ngonpo. The monastery was founded by Denma Kunga Drakpa who had camped in this area in the early 16th century. While meditating, he had a vision of protectress Achi riding her blue horse, and took the dream as
an auspicious sign to construct a monastery on that spot. And thus Phyang Monastery was built.
GURDWARA SHRI PATTHAR SAHIB: Situated 25 miles from Leh, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib stands at the place where Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikh religion and the first guru, is believed to have vanquished a demon. According to legend,
during his sojourn in Ladakh, Guru Nanak was attacked by a demon. The demon threw a large boulder on the guru as he sat at the base of a hill meditating. However, the rock became soft like molten wax and failed to cause any harm to the

Led by the younger brother of the Dalai Lama, the Likir monastery is one of the largest Gelugpa gompas in Ladakh. It is famous for its 22m-high statue of the Maitreya Buddha located just next to the main building.
Alchi monastery that enshrines some of the best-preserved wall paintings in Ladakh. The monastery was founded in the 11th century by the Great Translator Rinchen Zangpo. A legend says that the poplar tree at the entrance is his walking stick
which turned into a living tree.

KHARDUNGLA PASS: The road journey to Nubra valley leads through Khardung La pass (The highest Motorableroad in the world) 18,390 ft. around 39 Kms. Away from
Leh. There are two checkpoints on the both sides of the pass. Khardong is the first village of Nubra valley at higher altitude than Deskit and other villages.
Deskit Gompa (Monastery) was founded by Lama Sherab Zangpo of Stod in about 1420 AD during the reign of King Dragspa. About 100 monks are residing in the Gompa,
which is a branch of Thikse Monastery. The monastic festival called Gustor takes place on 20th and 21st days of the 12th month of Tibetan calendar.
HUNDAR VILLAGE: Hundar is a beautiful village to stay with lot of trees and you will really enjoy your stay at Hundar. It has a small monastery and ruined fort above the
village. The walk or Camel Safari (Double Hump Bactrian camels) from Hundar to Deskit, through sand dunes for two hours is wonderful (On Own).

Turtuk is the last outpost in India (12 km from the Line of Control with Pakistan) after which the Pakistan controlled Gilgit-Baltistan begins and is one of the gateways to Siachen Glacier

group of Tibetan origin. The Balti people are Muslim and they have a unique culture. Even the landscape is different with dramatic narrow Valley, Steep mountains, Stone Houses etc.

Samstanling Monastery attracts visitors with its peaceful atmosphere and eye-catching murals adorning the walls of its interior halls. Painted in bright shades of red, orange, and yellow, the shrine is visible from afar and can be
reached via a long flight of red stairs. At the entrance of the monastery, you will be greeted by a young boy who blesses the followers and ties threads around visitors' wrists.
Yarab Tso lake Walk for about 15 minutes on a small trail leading to this small hidden lake and enjoy the deep blue colour of its water. Yarab Tso lake is a holy place for Ladakhi people.
Panamik, a small village dotted with whitewashed chortens. Visit the Panamik Hot Spring where hot sulphurous water flows out from the mountain. Bathing in this hot spring is ideal to relax and it is believed to have medicinal virtues

THE PANGONG LAKE: The main attraction of this circuit is the Pangong Lake, situated at 14,000 feet (4,267 M). A long narrow basin of inland drainage, hardly six to seven kilometers
at its widest point to which foreigners are permitted, is only some seven km along the southern shore from the head of the lake, but it affords spectacular views of the mountains of
the Changchenmo range to the north, their reflection shimmering in the ever-changing blues and greens of the lakes brackish water. Above Spangmik are the glacier and snow-
capped peaks of the Pangong range.

of whole village that is a home of about 1000 people. Hanle monastery is a 17th century monastery of the Drukpa lineage of the Kagyu school of Tibetan buddhism. Monastey
is home to about 60 monks. The main monastery, one of the largest and best known of ladakh’s monasteries, was built under the protange of the kind singee namgyal. The
views from the top of monastery are just breath taking. Hanle is also house an Indian astronomical observatory which is the world highest observatory in the world at a
staggering height of 4500 mtrs.

Thiksey Monastery is located on a hill-lock with formidable views of the Indus valley. Thiksey is especially noteworthy for its gigantic seated statue of the Maitreya and
is also known for its (Dukhang) assembly hall which houses hundreds of rectangular prayer books, stacked between wooden covers and bound in silk.
Shey palace is the former summer palace of the royal family. Inside, there is a temple with a 12-metre-high copper statue of Shakyamuni Buddha gilded with about 5
kilograms of gold.
Stok Palace is turned to a Heritage hotel. This property also provides guests with a sun terrace. Centuries-old stone monastery displaying relics & weapons, plus a cafe
