Rice’s Science Class


In class, we have been studying the weather and weather
disasters. Flooding, hurricanes, tornadoes, thunderstorms, and
lightning can affect our homes, our safety, and the food we eat.
We also have explored the science of weather forecasting. For
this project, you are to gather information from the resources
below regarding the following topics:

National Weather Center provides a great
deal of information at this site about the
current storm season, tracking information,
and weather outlooks. Be sure to spend some
time here.
 NOAA Photo Library – Tornadoes- Explore
images of tornadoes presented here. Look
for similarities and differences between the
storm systems.
 Twister: The Tornado Story – Learn more
about tornadoes and the damage they can
