Welcome Message from Founder

Welcome to a passionate project that lies close to my heart. What started as a fire burning
inside to change the circumstances around me. The greatest gift that UTANDO aims to
present is the opportunity to be educated about pressing environmental, and climate-related
concepts. We believe in making commitments and walking the talk as what matters most is
action. We educate to help others and ourselves make better decisions and build intentional
innovative communities

History:

UTANDO started as an initiative to solve the food insecurity in South Africa, how could
poverty continue if only our resources could be used better? The evolution to solving food
security and better managing waste.

UTANDO is a story about relentless love, what started as an initiative of passion to address
the food insecurity in South African communities has evolved into a company that aims to
educate and pioneer conversations about Climate Change Action, The circular economy,
Sustainability and Energy Systems. UTANDO through projects aims to bridge the gap
between energy security and food security using waste management.

Utando aims to educate, liberate and promote sustainability, and create energy communities
through better waste management.
Values:

Our values are Ubuntu, we believe in community as no man is an island. UTANDO is a


demonstration of love in action. True love passes on wisdom. True love values integrity
versus, true love liberates and empowers others to act out of the informed agency, True love
sees value in all people and all living things around us, True love is called to Serve.
