Candidates waiting forfinal results of prescribed educational /technical qualifications are not eligible to apply. Candidates are requited to 90 through the Post Parameter Table and Vacancy Table of detailed CEN No.02/2024 to ascertain their eligiblity before applying through ONLINE mode. Each candidate is allowed to apply to only one RRB for a spectfic pay level, and only one common ONLINE application should be submitted by a candidate for any or all of the noiified posts, in the order of preference in that pay level, for which the candidate is eligibleandinterested to apply. Applications should be submitted only through any of the official RRB websites listed in Para 14(f) below. Aseparate application must be submitted for each Pay Level, 2s a separate CBT will be conducted for each Pay Level. The applicable Examination Fee is also required to be paid separately for each Pay Level. Once the application is submitted, the RRB selected shall be firal for that pay level. Applying to more thanone RRB forthe same Pay Level by acandidate wil resultin the ‘ejection ofall applications for that Pay Leveland devarment Eligibility of the candidates will be provisional based on details furnished by the candidates in the ONLINE application, The RRB will nt undertake detailed scrutiny of applications for the elgibily, therefore, candidature wil be accepted only provisionally subject to fulfilling basic elgibiity criteria as required. Candidates must go through the requirements of educational qualification, age, medical standards etc. and satisty themselves that they are eligible for the post. The certificates/documents in support of their Educational Qualifications and Age/Caste/Category, etc. shall be sought at the time of Document Verification by RRB. After scrutiny of the certificates/ documents of EQs! ageleaste! category, etc., any claim made in the application is not substantiated by certificates! documents, the candidature of candidate will be cancelled. Candidates who are found medically unsuitable for the opted post(s) shall not be given any alternative appointment. ‘Age (as on 01.07.2024): a) 18 - 36 years for Technician Gr! Signal and b) 18- 33 years for Technician Gr ll posts (Please see para 5.1 for details about age relaxations). Selection of RRB and Preferences for posts: RRB-wise & Rallway-wise vacancies indicated in this CEN are provisional and these may increase or decrease as per the requirement of Railway administrations concemed. Candidates can choose only one RRB in a Pay Level and indicate their preference for Railway Zones and posts/categories notified, for which the candidate is interested to apply and eligible, in that chosen RRB ‘only. Candidates with partial options will be considered only for the specific Railway Zones and posis/categorios opted by them, subject to vacancy position at the time of allotment. In case no option is given for certain posts/categories, it willbe considered as their unwillingness for the same. Options once exercised shall befinal and no change shall beentertained Candidates must have thelr own active mobile number and a valid personal Email ID for all communication during the entire durationof recruitment, as all communication with them willonly be through SMS and/or email During the ONLINE APPLICATION, candidates wil be asked to Create an Account. Ifa candidate has already Created an Account for CEN No 01/2024, they should use same account credentials to log in end apply for this CEN ((2., CEN No. 02/2024) as well Ifthe candidates have not Created an Account for CEN No.041/2024, they must first ‘Create an Account’ before proceeding to fill up the application for this CEN. Candidates are advised to fill in the details required for account creation with utmost care, as corrections of any kind will NOT be permitted once the account is created. Details filled in the ‘Create an Account’ form (including mobile number and Email ID) cannot be modified at any stage once theaccountis created, ‘Aller the submission of the ONLINE application (complete in all respects), if candidate wishes to further modity, ‘change or correct any detail except details filled in ‘Create an Account form (including Email 1D and mobile number) and Chosen RRB, he/she may do so by paying a mosification fee of Rs. 250/- (non-refundable) for each occasion from 09.04.2024 to 18.04.2024, Details filled in ‘Create an. It wil be based on their metitin CBT. Normalisation of marks will be done for CBTs held inmuttiple shifts. The shortlisted candidates for DV shall be informed through official RRB websites as well as via SMS and email (to their registered mobile number and email ID) to download their E-callletiors for appearing in DV. Nogative Marking: There will be negative marking (@1/3rd mark forevery wrong answer) in CBT. Banned Items: Candidates carrying banned items like communication devices and electronic gadgets (mobile phones, bluetooth, pen drive, laptops, calculators, smart watches), bangles, chains, bracelets, hearing aids, Wallets/purses, belts, shoes, metalic wears, etc., or any stationery tems like pen/pencil, shall NOT be allowed to appear in the exam, Any violation shall load to disqualification besides legal action and debarment from future recruitment exams. Cloak foom arrangement for safe-keeping of belongings may not be available at the exam venues. Mere issue of e-cal letter to the candidates will NOT imply that heir candidature has been finally accepted by the RRBs, RRBs conduct verification of eligibilty conditions (with reference to the original documents) only after the candidates have qualified in al the steges of examination and are shortlisted for Document Verification. RRBs may reject the candidature of any applicant atany stage of recruitment process case the candidate is found to be ineligible and it appointed, such a cancidate shall be removed from service summarily. Cae) Grima 14 15 16 17 18 19 1.15 1.16 Before applying for the post(s) against this notification, candidates shouid satisfy themselves that they futfil all the eligibiity norms including age, educational qualifications and medical standards. Candidates should ensure that they have the requisite technical qualifications fram recognized Board/University/Institute as on the CLOSING DATE for submission of application for this CEN, Those awaiting results of the final examination for the prescribed qualification are not eligibleand hence should net apply. Candidates who submit more than one application for a pay level against this CEN will be summarily rejected and will be debarred from all future examinations of RRBs and Railway Recruitment Cell (RRCs). ‘Similarly, applications of candidates who are attempting to submit muitiple applications with minor changes of information and / or facts to more than one RRB and / or multiple applications to the same RRB will be summarily ‘ejected and such candidates will also be debarred from all future examinations of RRB and RRC. Candidates who are presently debarred by any RRB / RRC should NOT apply for this notification. Their candidature will berejected during any stage of recruitment as and when detected. Candidates who have been dismissed from service by the Government of India / State Government / PSU/ any other government organization are not eligible and should not apply. Candidates should enter their Name, Father's Name and Date of Birth as recorded in the Matriculation/SSLG/Migh ‘Schoo! Examination Gertificateor an equivaient certiicate ONLY. {@) Incase of any change in name, candidates should indicate their changed name. However, all other details should match with the Matriculation or equivalent certificate. Date of such change oF application for such ‘change should be prior to the date of submission of ONLINE application, {b) Gazette Notification or any other legal document as applicable for such cases, shouid be submitted at the time ef Document Verification (DV). ‘Signatures of the candidate on all the documents should be uniform and identical: Signature must be in running hand writing and not in block/capital or disjointed letters. Use of different signatures may result in disqualification of candidature. Dates of CBT and DV ill be published on the websites of participating RRBs as given at Pare 14 (1). E-call letters for CBTs and DV (as appicabie) should be downloaded ONLY from the websites of the RRBs concerned as given at Para 14 (f), The CBT Centre, date and shift indicated in the e-call letter shall be fnal, and no request for change of date/time/ place will be entertained. \Vacancios indicated in the CEN are provisional and may increase or decrease or may even become NIL in totalor in specific communitiesiunits at a later stage, depending upon the actual needs of the Railway Administration ‘concerned, Additional posts if required by the Railway(s) may also be included at a later stage. (Refer topara 7.0for tre amount of refund) Right io Appointment: Selection by RRB does not confer upon candidates any right of appointment in the Railways. ‘The function of the RRBis only io recommend names of suitable candidates to the concemed authorities of the Zonal Railway who in tum issue the Offer of Appointment subject to availability of vacancies and satisfying all elighility criteria including antecedents of character. The allotment of category/postRaihway will be based on merit, post preference, medical fines and vacancy availabilty on the date of panel preparation. After the category / post / Railway is allotted by RRB, candidates forfeit the right to be considered for any other posticategory within that Pay Level Selecied candidates for the post of Technician will have to undergo training wherever proscribed and only stipend will bbe paid during the training period. ‘Selected candidates shall execute Security andlor Indemnity Bond wherever necessary. Posting: Ordnarly, a Railway servant shall be employed throughout service on the Railway or Ralway estabishmentin which he/she is postedon first appointment and shall have no claim as a right or transfer to another Railway or another establishment. However, a Competent Authority can transfer the raiway servant to any other depariment of Railway establishment, including a project in or out of india, in the exigencies of service. No request {or transfer to other Ralway would be registered til the newly appointed candidate completes at least 5 to 10 years ofservice. Candidates arethus advised to choose their RRB with due care and consideration. Selecled candidates who are finally appointed, are liable for active service in Railway Engineers Unit of Territorial Aimy. Any misuse of this free travel facility, shall ead to rejection of candidature at any stage of the selaction process including debarment for future examinations. RRBs reserve the right to change / modify / add / delete any of the terms & conditions of recruitment under the CEN as necessitated and applicable at any stage. RRBs may share, with the consent of the candidates, their scores (marks) obtained in this recruitment with other Ministries! Departments/ Publis Sector Undertakings (PSU) and Private organizations, for their own recruitment. IMPORTANT: Candidates must note that the date of birth filled in their application should be the same as recorded in thelr Matriculation / SSLC or an equivalent certificate, No subsequent request for change in date of birth will be considered. Any differencein the date of birth will lead to disqualification of the candidate. 6.0 EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (@) Please see Annexure-Aor the prescribed qualifications foreach post. (b) Candidates must already have the Educational/Technical qualifications. prescribed in the CEN from recognized Institute/University as on the last date (/.e. 08.04.2024) for submission of ONLINE application. (c)} Those awaiting results of their final examination of the prescribed educational/technical qualification SHOULD NOT ppl (d) Diploma /Degree in Engineering will not be accepted in lieu of Course Completed Act Apprentices/ITI for the post of Technicians in Pay Level-2 unless otherwise specified. Graduate Act apprentice will not be accepted in lleuof Course Competed ActApprenticeship (CCA) 7.0 EXAMINATION FEE: Candidates will have to pay the prescribed fee as per their community/category detailed below: S.No. Categories / Communities of Candidates Fee 1 | Forall candidates (except categories mentioned below at SI. No. 2). Out of this fee of Rs 500/-, an amount of Rs 400/- shail be refunded duly deducting Rs 500/- bank charges, on appearing in CBT. 2 | For candidates who belong to SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, Female, Transgender, Minorities or Economically Backward Class (EBC). (Caution to Candidates: EBC should not be confused with OBC or EWS) Bs:260/- This fee of Rs 250/- shall be refunded duly deducting bank charges as applicable, on appearing in CBT. NOTE: 1) Theapplicable Examination Fee is also required to be paid separately foreach Pay Level. 2) Only candidates who attend CBT will get a refund of their examination fee as mentioned above. 7.4 MODES OF FEE PAYNENT: a) ONLINE fee payment only through internat banking, debiticredit cards, or UPI will be accepted. All applicable service charges shall be borne by the candidate, b) Fee can be paid by the candidates through ONLINE mode only. There will be no option to pay fee through any other mode. ©) Applications received without the prescribed fee shall notbe considered and will be summarily rejected, No representation against such rejectionwillbe entertained 7.2. Minorities shall include Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains and Zoroastrians (Parsis) subject to revision/deletionyinclusion f any, received til thelastdate for submission of online application (08.04.2024), Affidavit for Minority Community Declaration’: Minority candidates claiming waiver of examination fee will be required to furnish an affidavit (as per Annexure IV) on non-judicial stamp paper mentioning their minority community atthetime of DV, felling which their cancidature willbe rejected 1.3 Economically Backward Class (EBC) candidates re those whose annual family income is less than Rs. 50,000 and are eligible for concessionalfee (as per para 7.0 above). For this. they should have a) Valid income Certificate on the date of application in the prescribed format (as per Annexure Ill A) on the letterhead of the Issuing Authority.
