Dear Mayor Mendez,

Greetings of Peace and Good Health!

Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS) are the core employees in the provision of Nutrition programs in the Municipality of
Villanueva. As of today, the Municipality of Villanueva was extracted from the Top 10 Municipalities in the Province of
Misamis Oriental with highest number of malnourished children. This tremendous accomplishment was due to our
Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS) as guided by the Municipal Nutrition Action Officer (MNAO).

In this regard, we would like to request an increase in the monthly honorarium of our Barangay Nutrition Scholars
(BNS) for the Municipality of Villanueva. In response to their tremendous hard work and exceptional service in ensuring
provision of nutrition program in their respective barangays, the proposed additional honorarium for them would be an
equivalent reward. Despite the challenges they are facing today due to the below-mentioned reasons, their competence in
the field maintains outstanding.

These are the viewed motives in the propose increments towards our Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS):

a. They have been serving the Barangay in promoting nutrition programs and enforce delineation of malnutrition in
the community for 10 years and counting, and

b. The Province of Misamis Oriental has declined the provincial budget appropriation counterpart for them.

c. Lastly, their passion for public health nutrition program implementation and excellence towards service.

Furthermore, their admirable accomplishment and dedication for public health service has brought the Municipality of
Villanueva into a commendable productivity in health program implementation as evidence by decreasing number of
malnourish children.

Attached herewith are the names and budgetary proposal for our Barangay Nutritional Scholars (BNS) for your reference
and guidance.

Rewards and incentives are important to compensate the sacrifice and passionate service of our Barangay Nutrition
Scholars (BNS) in the Municipality.

We are hoping for a positive response regarding this request.
