At the end of the lesson, 90% of the students are expected to:
a. prepare the tools and materials used in performing One Bulb controlled by One Switch
Circuit connection;
b. perform the proper procedures in connecting One Bulb controlled by One Switch Circuit
connection; and
c. observe maximum safety precautions while working.

transfer electrical energy from a suitable source to
a useful load.

B. Motivation

Before we start our lesson, we will be

Here’s the mechanics. Please listen very

1. I have here a Jigsaw Puzzle. You have to


arrange this puzzle as one group.
2. Each of you must go in front to move at
least one jigsaw piece until it will be
arranged correctly.
* In arranging the puzzle, just click the
jigsaw piece you want to move then place
inside the box.
* You are only allowed to move jigsaw
piece one at a time.
* In case that you are all done and you
didn’t fix yet the jigsaw puzzle, you have to
start over again with the first arranger.

2. Strip the end of the wires at least one and a half
inch.
Rat tail joint 3. Connect the one line of the source preferably
the live wire to the live wire of the switch using
rat tail joint.
4. Connect the ground wire from the load/bulb to
the ground wire of the source
5. The ground wire of the switch will be connected
to the live wire going to the receptacle of the
bulb.
6. Cover with electrical tape the end of the
connected wires.
7. Energize the circuit.
