Ex1: Read the example sentences below, and try to guess the meaning of the phrases.

Work with your partner and write three or four mini dialogues using some of the
expressions you have learnt. See the example below:

A: When are you two lovebirds going to finally tie the knot and give us all
something to celebrate?

B: Oh, we’ve never even talked about it. If Gav popped the question now,
I wouldn’t know what to say. I’d be completely shocked.
