(ii) There are Nine questions in this paper.
(iii) Attempt Five questions in all.
(iv) Question No. 1 is compulsory.
1. Choose the correct answer of the following (any seven): 2x7=14

(b) Explain various methods of project scheduling. Also, draw a bar chart with the help of given information and calculate

5. Define direct cost, indirect cost and cost slope of a project and also explain Total Cost Curve.

A, B, C and D are the activities. Their normal and crash duration and associated costs are given in thr table below:

6. The initial cost of an equipment is Rs. 1100, salvage value is Rs. 100. Life of equipment is 5 years. The rate for sinking
fund is 8%. Calculate the yearly depreciation and book value at end of each year by any 3 methods. Present the values in
tabular form. 14

7. (a) Explain the suitability of the various materials used for construction of prefabricated structure. 7

(b) What is float? Differentiate between float and slack. Also explain different types of floats used in CPM network
analysis. 7

8. Write the name of any four earth excavating equipments and also explain any one in detail?

Estimate the efficiency of bulldozer for the following for the following operating conditions:

(a) Material- Sandy loam top soil

(d) Mould board size- 3.0 m long, 1.0 m high

(e) Rated mould board capacity- 3 cu.m loose volume

9. What is dummy activity? Explain errors in network analysis. Draw the network diagram of a project having seven
activities A, B and C run concurrently. Activities predecessor relationships are as follows.
