In the world of Pokemon we have something called typing. As of now, there are 18 different types.
*In the middle the 18
different types. At
their left the type
they’re weak against,
and their right, the
type they’re strong
against.
*Fun fact: The normal type is
the only type to not be
effective against anything
Then, we have the Pokemon statistics and abilities. Knowing how to use your Pokemon will bring you
one step closer to VICTORY! Let’s start with Mimikyu for example.
There are 6 statistics. HP (Health
Points); Attack (Physical Attack);
Defense (Physical Defense); Special
Attack; Special Defense and Speed
Also, your Pokemon can be good or
bad at a statistic, or neutral
Mimikyu also has an ability. Called “disguise”, which allows him to take 1 attack without getting
any damage, this ability can only be used once. *Pokemon can have up to three different abilities.
WE THEN HAVE OUR POKEMON ATTACKS
Physical
Physical: Target the opponent physical defense
Special: Target the opponent special defense
Status: Do not directly do damage. Can change statistics, Special
weather and more.
The moves also have two statistics of their own: Power
(how powerful the move is) and Accuracy (how likely it is Status
for the move to hit on the target. *Each Pokemon is allowed to have four
moves.
NOW LET’S GO WITH OBJECTS: Each Pokemon is allowed to carry one item. Each item has different
purposes. They can heal you, damage you, give you statistics, etc. Let’s see the item “Toxic Orb”.
Toxic Orb will inflict toxic poisoning to the Pokemon holding it, but
combined with the ability “Poison Heal” of Gliscor, the Pokemon will heal
instead of taking damage
