Report
6
- The 2022- 2023 Physical Education and Sports’ class discussed holding a
Badminton or Basketball competition. However, as a result of our collective
indecisiveness, we all opted to host a fitness challenge because we were familiar and
comfortable doing the necessary skill for the event. Our first general meeting, where
various roles and responsibilities were assigned to each participant such as Directors,
Secretary, Managers, etc. Was such a brilliant option that the students and sir ambrose
came up with.
As a result, we held numerous practice sessions at school on Saturdays so that athletes
could train and get ready for the competition. Soon after our second general was
convened to talk about the names of the teams, the colors that officials were to wear,
the food that would be provided for the spectators and players, the number of rounds,
and the activities that would occur during each round. The Chase’s Academic
Foundation of 2022-2023 did a fantastic job organizing the fitness challenge on the
day of the event in school’s compound.
Agenda of the Fitness Challenge
- The class reported for 8:00AM on Sunday, the 13 of November, 2022. The event
commenced at 9:00AM with a prayer done by three candidates. A prayer was said for
each religion: Muslim, Hindu and Christian. We were then welcomed by a fellow
student who belongs to the class. It was followed with both the National Pledge and
Anthem being sang. Finally we were graced by the presence of the School's Director,
Mr. Henry Chase, and our Special Guest Speaker, Mr. Alque Stanley. They both
expounded greatly on how essential it is to be fit and healthy. After the health speech
and a few encouraging words from the guest speaker , a vote of thanks was given by
another classmate, followed by the announcement from one of the directors for the
announcement of the rounds. Throughout the fitness challenge, our major issue seen
in the athletes was Dehydration. But that was quickly resolved by the first aiders, who
distributed water to them. Around 12’oclock: midday, we had a quick break where we
munched on some hot dogs and some fruit juice to wash it down. The program
continued as planned and finally concluded at 3:30PM. By then, the food was already
boxed off and ready to be shared to all participants and guest. Last but not least, we
cleaned the compound and had a small award ceremony where the medals and
trophies were given to the teams.

Reflection
- How being a sports journalist helped me?
Positive Aspect- the researcher learned a great deal being a sports journalist. The
experience expanded their photography skills a bit more and a strong desire to
participate more in sports was gained.
Negative Aspect- the class did not acquire a tent for the team and therefore the
heat was too much for the athletes.
If given another chance to host a fitness challenge , the researcher would provide a
better venue where the conditions are bearable for both the guest and athletes.
8
Conclusion
- At the conclusion of the competition, the researcher's class and the second through
forth form class had a greater understanding of what a fitness challenge entails. The
competition was a resounding hit because everything went off without a hitch. The
researcher thanks everyone who took part in the competition, including the organizers
and competitors. This event was a memorable experience.
As such the researcher would like to explore the journalistic field more in the future
and write great reviews on upcoming sport activities in the country because
throughout the project, the researcher saw how essential documenting is within the
twenty first century .
