To Whom It May Concern:

I begin this letter with a great amount of joy to be able to share my support for Ms. Reanna Klein as she
embarks on the journey to become an educator in your district. I also begin this letter with a true sense of
responsibility to make sure that I accurately reflect just how highly qualified Reanna is for this career.
As part of the Michigan State University Special Education Teacher Preparation Program, Reanna
completed half of her yearlong internship in my 4th grade general education classroom in Okemos, Michigan.
During this time, she planned engaging lessons for multiple content-areas, utilized relationship-centered
classroom management strategies, engaged in positive communications with student families, and showed
high-level skills in areas of organization, flexibility, reflection, technology integration, and time-management.
Reanna skillfully delivered engaging and academically rigorous lessons that students enjoyed. In her math
lessons, she routinely provided scaffolding by including visuals in her presentations, instructed using
differentiation to reteach, practice, and extend student learning as it related to the learning outcome goals,
and included multiple points of entry when creating whole class lessons. In her reading lessons, Reanna
inspired students to make authentic text-to-self connections all while focusing on building their fluency and
comprehension skills. Over the semester it became clear that Reanna believes that all students can learn. It is
this unwavering conviction that drives Reanna to craft lessons that are intentional, supported, and relevant.
Her personal narrative unit supported students through the writing process and successfully resulted in the
creation of meaningful stories that were written with the purpose of entertaining their Kindergarten buddies.
It is through this type of purposeful planning that she allows every student the best chance for success. In
using a variety of instructional strategies to elicit students’ thinking, she makes content accessible and
interesting, and keeps students engaged in learning.
Reanna thrived in making powerful and impactful connections with the students. In leading daily morning
meetings, she authentically valued the good news and announcements shared by the students. These
relationships fostered a true sense of community in our classroom.
Reanna is exceptionally thoughtful in her lesson planning, remarkably kind and caring to students, and
has a deep desire to learn more about the craft of teaching to continually improve and become her best. It is
these dispositions that make me confident that Reanna will be an exceptional teacher in your district.

Sincerely,

Adam Clements
