Chapter 1. Introduction
We were Explained and illustrate about DE by our professor and have understood detailed
description of DE. We have selected a Domain area under which we are going to make a
project. We have done observations, attempted interviews of farmers to collect data and
found the problems in this field.we are making a project to overcome these problems. The
project we are doing is about Multipurpose Agricultural spraying vehicles. Agriculture
sprayer vehicles operate the pump automatically as it moves, pump is mounted on vehicle
so no stress to operator, very low cost. The pumping mechanism is connected to the rear
wheel shaft through a geartrain. Thus, motion of the wheel is converted into automatic
pumping of the pumping system
.
1.1 Introduction About Team Members
We all Five are mechanical engineering Sem-6 students. We all are interested and eager to know
anything related to Mechanical. We all share our research with each other. We believe in getting
knowledge as much as possible. We often discuss about our ideas related to current affairs. We do
online research on the various kinds of Machines. We always ask for information and interact with any
mechanical person whom we meet. And we are excited about design engineering as it gives us
knowledge about mechanical.
1.2 Introduction to Faculty Guide
Mr. M. M. Modan is very decent. He has a wide range of knowledge in almost every area related
to Mechanical and Automobile. He helps student by sharing her knowledge and his knowledge is really
beneficial.
1.3 Understanding about Design Thinking
A primary purpose of design thinking is to summarize and synthesis the research on design
thinking to better understand its characteristics and processes as well as the difference between novice and
expert design thinker. It is very important for upcoming engineers like us to develop critical thinking skills,
working and managing a team, completing work on or before time, enhancing the way to look at things,
approaching and facing problems with different point of view etc. Design thinking helps us enhance and
improve our skills.
1.4 Importance of Design Thinking
Introduction of this project is very important in lives of beginners like us. This project makes us
aware about how things work in actual world. Firstly a team is chosen by us, we have to work in that team
throughout the project which obviously improves our management and team-working skills. This project
helps us to develop critical thinking skills, the way we approach towards a problem also become more
simplified and distinct. Throughout our project we constantly solve and fix different kind of problems,
hence enhance problem facing and solving capability. A secondary communication skill also improves.
With help of this project, we got a good knowledge about designing which would be helpful in future. Also
it helps to apply the findings from the literature regarding the application of design thinking to our
education system

Chapter 2. AEIOU Canvas
AEIOU basically stands for Activities, Environments, Interactions, Objects, and Users. This is
essentially a Framework to structure all observations you make on the field during user research. But to
best understand it, let’s continue with the example of the Campus Information Desk. You would realize
by now that the search for the efficient solution is a design thinking workshop in itself.
o The AEIOU Summery sheet gives a quick view on the sheets
1. A-Activity
2. E-environment
3. I-interaction
4. O-Objects
5. U-Users
Fig.1: AEIOU Canvas
o Various environment are Ecofriendly , Noiseless , Recycle
o Various interactions are attractive realistic and easily understandable.
o Various objects are fuel tank, regulator and sprayer
o Various activities taken into consideration are visiting the farm, spray pesticide.

Chapter 3. Mind-Map
It is to present all the topics or points in the form of diagram. Drawing or any other form. Through
this mind mapping canvas our intension will be clear about our topic and what we have to do. Mind
mapping canvas is for easy understanding of the domain.
Mind map is a diagram in which information is represented visually, usually with a Central idea
placed in the middle and associated ideas arranged around it. Mind mapping is a Powerful technique
to help you visually develop and organize ideas and information.

Chapter 5: Ideation Canvas
“Ideation is the mode of design process in which you concentrate on idea generation”
o Ideation is the process where you generate ideas and solutions through sessions such as
sketching, prototyping, brainstorming, brain writing, worst possible idea and a wealth of
other ideation techniques. An ideation canvas is a rough whiteboard where ideas can be
stretched into any limits or dimensions.Ideation session is not aimedat finding solutions to
the defined problem, but to define the best possible problem and stretch out its possible
scope. The ideation canvasis separated into various sections such as: users, activities,
situations, props. From the AEIOU canvas we came to know about the idea towards the
section.Hence from the ideation canvas we came to know about the users, activities,
situations, props.

Chapter 6: Product Development Canvas
The Product Development Canvas is often abbreviated as PDC. There are several sections that make up
the PDC including user, purpose, experience, imagine and visualize the feelings expectations and
experience that users will have after interacting with the developed product and think about the
functions, features, components and validation and revalidation. It is basically a canvas which
describes the factors and other situations which mustbe considered when launching your idea
into the market as a product It helps in clarifying our thoughts regarding the idea as well as
product.
A product canvas is a planning tool designed to help build products that have a great user
experience through a focus on feature development.

Chapter 7. LNM Canvas
The Learning Needs Matrix Canvas will help the learner to see the need to learn early and to
prioritize / allocate time for each learning priority.
The importance of matrix reading requirements in diagnostics means that screening will
focus on writing both readings, which are included in a specific topic syllabus to solve design
problem and may not include in the official syllabus for other subjects.

Chapter 9: Conclusion
The project titled “Multipurpose Agricultural Spraying Device” is is a simple model of spraying
pump our project is mobile and is like a vehicle so people don’t have to carry heavy tank on the
back .So in the coming year it is going to be very essential for the Aged Farmers and can use our
project to Spray insecticides ,pesticides ,or water .Finally the aim of our project is to help farmers
and people with farm to spray water on the farm with ease.
Based on the overall performance of themachine we can definitely say that the project will satisfy
the need of small scale farmer, because they are not able to purchase costly
agricultural equipment. The machine required less man power and less time compared to traditional
methods, so if we manufacture it on a large scale its cost gets significantly reduce and we hope this
will satisfy the partial thrust of Indian agriculture. So in this way we solve the labour problem that is
the need of today’s farming in India.
Unique machine designed to carry out the task of sprayingthe fertilizers and sowing of seeds are
developed.Thecomplete calculations along with the software model are presented in this paper. It
overcomes the problem associated with conventional spray such as back pain due to weight carried
on back on person. This is a handy machine which will be helpful to improve the performance
during farming operations. The device is made such that can be easily operated in field. The vehicle
power is provided by two stroke petrol engines, and controls are given at handles. The steering
mechanism is easier to operate and
simple. Equipment controls are handy and easily accessible. The control switch is provided for
spraying operations. Thus, this fabrication is value for money.
