Apprenticeship – Bagger
As a Lid Line Bagger, your primary responsibility is to efficiently pack the
produced ends into boxes or tubes. The following outlines the specific roles and
duties associated with the Bagger position in the Lid Line:
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Preparation for Shipment or Packaging
- Pre-pack the ends in preparation for shipment or transfer to the packaging
station.
2. Assistance to Press Operator
- Provide assistance to the Press Operator during operations, including
troubleshooting, arranging/segregating ends, sorting hold items, and maintaining a
clean work area.
3. Quality Control
- Check and ensure that there is no mixing or confusion in the finished
goods.
4. Operator Training Preparation
- Engage in pre-training activities to develop the skills necessary for
transitioning to an Operator role.
5. Adhere to 5’S Principles
- Demonstrate proficiency as a 5'S trained and practiced individual, adhering
to the principles of Sort, Set (in order), Shine, Standardize, and Sustain.
6. GMP Compliance
- Exhibit competence as a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) trained and
practiced professional.
7. Box Preparation
- Prepare boxes according to specified standards for efficient packing and
storage.
8. Disposal Procedure/Process
- Adhere to established procedures and processes for the proper disposal of
materials.
9. Stacking Procedures/Standards
- Follow prescribed stacking procedures and standards to ensure organized
and safe storage of packed ends.

Defect Identification
As a Lid Line Bagger, your responsibility includes ensuring the absence of
defects in the finished goods. The following are the classifications of defects in Lid
Line.
Minor Defect
a) Punch Mark/Strapping
b) Wrinkled Curl
c) Warp End
d) Dull Cut, Nick Burr
Major Defect
a) Broken lining
b) Damage curl
c) Excessive (in terms of wt. compound)
Critical Defect
a) No Compound/Compound Void
b) Die Cut
c) Perforation Matter Inner Side of End (include oil, grease, fingermark, rusty oily)
d) Clipped End
e) Compound Splashing
Your vigilance in identifying and addressing defects within these
classifications plays a vital role in maintaining the high quality of the finished
products on the Lid Line.
Apprenticeship – Packaging
Workers in the packaging department always ensure the observance of the
integrity of the products from the production line to delivery.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Packing Scheduled Deliveries
- Pack all products scheduled for delivery according to the production plan. The
following must be considered:
a. Coding and Size Consideration
- Pack items based on their designated code and size, following established
guidelines.
b. Sealing for Protection
- Seal ends with plastic to protect the finished products from contamination
during transportation and storage. Ensure that the sealing process is performed
consistently and effectively.
c. Moisture Wiping
- Wipe moisture off the ends to prevent any potential damage or quality
issues. Pay attention to detail to maintain the quality of the packaged products.
d. Box Completion and Sealing
- Seal completed boxes with packaging tape to secure the packaged items.
Provide sign on each sealed box for traceability purposes.
2. 5S Trained and Practitioner
- Apply 5S principles (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) to maintain
an organized and efficient workspace. Continuously practice and promote a clean
and organized working environment.
3. GMP Trained and Practitioner
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards to ensure the
production of high-quality and safe packaged products. Follow GMP guidelines for
hygiene, cleanliness, and product integrity.
4. Disposal Procedure
- Follow proper procedures for the disposal of packaging materials and waste.
5. Stocking Procedure/Standard
- Adhere to established stocking procedures and standards when organizing
packaged products in the storage area.

Apprenticeship – Sorter
As a sorter, your key role is to carefully inspect defect in produced lids and
ensure that no defect should be mixed on the finished goods.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Defect Inspection
- Inspect produced ends for any defects that may have occurred during
processing in the LID line department.
- Identify and segregate defective ends from the good finished goods (FG).
2. Ensure quality Finished Goods
- Segregate and organize all good finished goods before the pre-packing
stage.
3. 5S Trained and Practitioner
- Apply 5S principles (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) to
maintain an organized and efficient work environment. Continuously practice and
promote a clean and organized workspace.
4. GMP Trained and Practitioner
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards to ensure the
production of high-quality and safe products. Follow GMP guidelines for hygiene,
cleanliness, and the integrity of the sorting process.
5. Packing Procedure
- Follow established packing procedures when preparing sorted goods for
packaging.

Apprenticeship – Utility Manpower
As a utility manpower, it is your responsibility to ensure cleanliness,
orderliness, provide production support, and handling production disposal.

1. Cleaning and Maintenance
- Ensure the cleanliness of production areas, facilities, and equipment to meet
hygiene and safety standards.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks and address spills/debris promptly to
maintain a tidy work environment.
2. Orderliness and Organization
- Organize tools, equipment, and materials in an orderly manner to support
a smooth workflow.
3. Production Support
- Provide support to production teams by assisting with material handling,
equipment setup, and other tasks as required.
- Respond promptly to requests from production personnel to facilitate a
seamless production process.
4. Disposal Handling
- Properly handle and dispose of production waste and by-products
according to established procedures and environmental regulations.
5. Safety and Compliance
- Contribute to the overall safety of the work environment by identifying and
addressing potential hazards.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines while carrying out cleaning,
maintenance, and disposal activities.

Apprenticeship – Compound Mixer Helper
As a compound mixer helper, your task is to provide help and support to the
compound mixer in checking, pouring, and maintaining the compound level on the
compound tank in every production line.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Compound Handling
- Assist in the transportation and handling of raw materials, compound
mixture, and other tools used in the mixing process.
2. Equipment Setup and Maintenance:
- Prepare and set up mixing equipment before the start of each batch.
- Clean and sanitize equipment between batches to prevent contamination.
3. Quality Control
- Monitor and inspect compound mixtures for quality and adherence to
specifications.
4. Record Keeping
- Maintain accurate records of compound usage, batch numbers, and stock
levels of compound.
5. Safety Compliance
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines and use personal protective
equipment (PPE) to secure safety in handling, pouring, and mixing the lining
compound.
6. Cleaning and Housekeeping:
- Clean work areas, utensils, and equipment after each batch to maintain a
clean and organized workspace.
- Dispose of waste and unused materials appropriately.
