disasters. Flooding, tornados, thunderstorms, and lightning can
affect our homes, our safety and the food we eat. We have also
explored the science of weather forecasting. For this project,
you are to gather information from the resources below
regarding the following topics.

 The National Hurricane Center- The National
Weather Center provides a great deal of
information at this site about the current storm
season, tracking information, and weather
outlooks. Be sure to spend some time here.
 NOAA Photo Library- Tornados- Explore
images of tornados presented here. Look for
similarities and differences between the storm
systems.
 Twister: The Tornado Story- Learn more about
tornadoes and the damage they can cause from
this interactive site.
