Riphah Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences
Riphah Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (RIPS) is one of the premiere institutes established in
2004. RIPS was accredited by the Pharmacy Council of Pakistan in 2009. Eighteen (18) batches of
Pharm. D have been graduated with the high percentage of placements nationally and globally, in
the various fields of pharmacy. RIPS is included in the WHO list of accredited institutes. RIPS is the
pioneer institute to offer 5 years” Doctor of Pharmacy” program in the private sector.

Our main focus is to equip our graduates with required skills and knowledge of Pharmaceutical
sciences to provide quality health care services to the community, hospitals, industry and the state.
RIPS is the only institute in Pakistan with 3 attached teaching hospitals. High emphasis is laid upon the
faculty development and inculcation of Islamic ethical values. The quality of teaching and learning is
ensured through latest teaching methodologies and tools including Campus Management System
(CMS), Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and library resources. The well-equipped labs and animal
house foster the practical learning experience of the students. Regular visits to the industry and
guest lectures by industry leaders are an essential part of the training.

RIPS offers Undergraduate and Post Graduate programs including Pharm-D, M. Phil and Ph.D. in all
disciplines of pharmaceutical sciences. In addition to this, RIPS also conducts training programs for
the professionals from government and private sector organizations on regular basis. RIPS is also
highly productive research institute.

Prof. Dr. Arif-ullah Khan did M.Phil & PhD in the subject of Pharmacology.
He has wide experience of teaching and research in field of Pharmaceutical
Sciences. He has published 135 research articles with cumulative impact
factor of around 300 and 3000 citations.

several National and International prestigious awards for his valuable

Salimuzzaman Siddiqui Prize in Applied Science Technology by the Third
World Academy of Sciences, Italy in collaboration with Pakistan Academy
of Science.
