Create the HCP CS Log Files
For each of the HCP CS nodes required by GSC, perform the following:
1. Using SSH / putty, log in to each of the HCP CS nodes. Root user password for each site is available
in Password Safe.
2. If a specific interval is requested by GSC, run the following command:
/opt/hcpcs/bin/log_download -d -l -t yyyy-MM-dd,yyyy-MM-dd
yyyy-MM-dd,yyyy-MM-dd refers to the interval of time requested by GSC.
3. If no interval is requested by GSC, run the following command:
/opt/hcpcs/bin/log_download -d -l
4. When you run the log_download script, all log files are automatically compressed and moved to the
retired/ directory.
Retrieve the Log Files
To retrieve the log files, perform the following:
• Use WinSCP tool installed on ‘storageadmin‘, access each of the HCP CS nodes requested by
GSC.
• Go to /opt/hcpcs/retired
• Download the log files as per the request.
• Log files format is logs-yyymmdd-*.tar.gz to easily identify time stamp.
• Upload the log files as per the standard procedure.
• If no time stamp is requested by GSC, upload the logs for the current day.
