Vietnam, a country known for its rich culture and diverse natural landscapes,
has been attracting millions of tourists from around the world for a long time.
With its breathtaking natural scenery, a wide variety of cultures, and rich
cuisine, Vietnam provides unforgettable experiences for visitors. Vietnam
offers numerous fascinating destinations, which can sometimes leave travelers
unsure of where to start when visiting this country. Therefore, in this essay, we
will explore three well-known places that any traveler should consider
experiencing when coming to this country. These are the Cai Rang Floating
Market, Hoi An Ancient Town, and Cat Ba Island. Let's discover these
interesting destinations and why they should be on your travel list when
visiting Vietnam.
II. THREE TOURIST ATTRACTIONS
1. Cai Rang Floating Market
There is a very unique place compared to other places that we want to
mention is Cai Rang Floating Market in Can Tho City. Cai Rang Floating
Market is known for its vibrant atmosphere and bustling trade activities.
In the past, floating markets were formed because roads and road vehicles
were not developed, while the demand for buying and selling and exchanging
goods, people gathered on the river and by means of boats and boats. Today,
although the road transport network has developed widely everywhere, floating
markets still exist and develop. Floating markets are still one of the interesting
tourist destinations in the West. Guests should visit at least once. Of all the big
floating markets in the Southwest, Cai Rang floating market is considered the
most unique and bustling. It attracts numerous local sellers and buyers who
gather on boats to trade a variety of goods, including fruits, vegetables,
seafood, and local products. The market operates primarily in the early
morning hours, usually from around 5:00 am to 9:00 am, when it is at its

3. Cat Ba Island - The pearl of the Gulf of Tonkin
The final destination we want to recommend for you is Cat Ba Island. This is
one of the most famous tourist spots in Hai Phong City, located in the Gulf of
Tonkin, near Hai Phong City in northeastern Vietnam. Cat Ba Island - Also
known as “Pearl Island,” - is the largest of the 367 islands that comprise the Cat
Ba Archipelago, which makes up the southeastern section of Lan Ha Bay.
The name “Cat Ba Island” means Women’s Island deriving from a legend
from many centuries ago, the tales said that three women of the Tran Dynasty
were killed and their bodies floated all the way to Cat Ba Island. Each body
washed up on a different beach and all three were found by local fishermen.
The residents of Cat Ba built a temple for each woman, and the island soon
became known as Cat Ba.
Travelers coming to Cat Ba always get mesmerized by its scenery with
several beautiful beaches notably Cat Ba 1,2 and 3 especially Cat Ba 2 - which
is said to be the most stunning one. Moreover, the tourists can be attracted by
the beauty of Lan Ha Bay, you could do a bit of kayaking to explore some of
the areas that are inaccessible by boat, Lan Ha Bay would offer you its
stunning natural beauty with its towering cliffs, pristine beaches, and crystal-

especially impressive in Cat Ba National Park, which covers over 100 square

produced in focus in Cat Hai island district, is a key and most famous product
of Cat Hai island, Hai Phong. Different from other types of industrial sauces on
the market, Cat Hai fish sauce has high protein, rich in nutritional value, special
aroma, and flavor.
