Sub: Request for transfer on compassionate grounds

It is submitted that I was transferred and posted as Deputy Director


(Coordination) O/o Director (Coordination) Islamabad vide GM (HRD) WAPDA
Lahore office order No. 13461-68 dated 21.12.2023 (copy enclosed). Due to ongoing
cancer treatment of my father, I availed earned leave from 18.12.2023 to 15.03.2024
and joined duty on 18.03.2024.

I would like to bring to your kind attention that my father is currently battling
stage 4 prostate cancer, and his medical condition has reached a critical juncture. As
his primary caregiver, since my elder brother and two other sisters are residing in
UAE, I am responsible for providing him with essential care and support during this
challenging time. Having gone through chemotherapy and hormone therapy, he has
recently experienced a serious decline in his health, necessitating intensive care and
assistance. As the primary caregiver and sole source of support for my father, it is
imperative that I be by his side during this critical period to ensure his well-being and
comfort.

Given the gravity of my father's situation and the necessity of my presence to


assist with his care, I humbly request your understanding and support in facilitating a
transfer to Lahore that would allow me to be closer to my family in this time of need. I
am willing to provide any necessary documentation, including medical reports or
other supporting evidence, to demonstrate the compelling nature of my
circumstances.

I understand that the decision regarding transfers is subject to various factors,


including operational requirements and organizational constraints. Nevertheless, I
kindly appeal to your compassion and empathy in considering my request and
providing me with the opportunity to be closer to my father during this difficult period.

I assure you sir that I will work with full devotion and utmost dedication for the
entire satisfaction of my superiors. I hope that my request will be considered on
extreme empathetic and compassionate grounds, please.
