Master of Health Profession Education Course
Objectives of the course:
• Enhancing the quality of teaching-learning strategy
• Promoting quality education research
• Developing skills as an experienced clinical professional with educational responsibilities
• Fostering team spirit
Eligibility Criteria:
• Minimum 6 months teaching experience
• Full-time teaching faculty in an health science institution (Medical, Dental, Nursing,
Physiotherapy, Biomedical Sciences) recognized by the statutory council
Intake:
Maximum 20 students per year
Faculty:
Faculty members who have completed Basic course in MET and
• Advance Course in MET, or
• FAIMER Fellows, or
• Additional qualifications like MHPE, PhD in Medical Education, or
• Adequate experience as faculty of Medical Education Unit
Certificate Course in Health Profession Education
• Duration:1 year
• 6 contact programmes
• Evaluation: Attendance for contact programmes, completion of assignments
Diploma in Health Profession Education
• Duration:1 ½ years
• 9 contact programmes
• Evaluation: Attendance for contact programmes, completion of assignments,
Microteaching

• Evaluation: Attendance for contact programmes, completion of assignments,

Note: Each contact program will of two days duration and will be held once in two
