CONCEPT
Bo- DAA states that community is not forced but co-axed. The main aim was to create a
spatial experience for the users that reflects a communal lifestyle. The concept of the project
Is a treehouse as the name of project suggests. The reason behind adapting the concept of
trees was that trees have proven to connect people and build community. Therefore, the
courtyard is what one sees the moment they enter the structure and This is also the last thing
that one sees before entering any individual apartments. The courtyard in the centre is

overlooking space for the residents. The form of the structure has also sprung up from the
same concept and eventually developed into a shape of triangular prism.
VERTICAL ZONING OF THE
2
STRUCTURE
The name derives from the architectural shape. The six-story residential units stacked above
the atrium retreat layer by layer, forming the image of a tree house. The entire architectural
design is based on a shared lifestyle, and a public atrium that is completely open to the street
and all residential units is built in the center of the building
3
Treehouse is split in two parts volumetrically by a glazed atrium with huge trees on the
ground floor. The ground floor comprises of pet garden, laundry, cinema nook, restaurant,
grand lobby, shared kitchen and event space. Moreover, the mezzanine floor comprises of
open library, co –working space and meeting space. The below is the graphical representation
of the various activities on ground floor.
HORIZONTAL ZONING OF THE STRUCTURE
The floors become gradually slimmer as the building gets higher, in order to comply the areas
zoning rules. The open air concept of the shared space allows the natural interaction between
the levels, facilitating the purpose of the project. The open-plan ground floor and buildings
are connected with bridges and walkways, while rotating walls open a private area into a
public spaceMost the units are oriented on the northern side which inhabits the diffused light
in habitable space through large slanted windows. This also increases the comfort level in the
space and creates a better view sight for the residents. On the above levels is a roof terrace
providing a space to sit and enjoy leisure time in a group. This ultimately boosts the
communal sense of living by catering and maintaining the privacy levels required by an
individual

All public functional areas are surrounded by vegetation, and outdoor landscape materials are
also used on the paving and wall materials. Together with the indoor furniture, it creates a
unique sense of publicity that is both indoor and outdoor. Landscape plants are considered in
the building structure stage, and sufficient drainage, weight and thickness are reserved for the
plant soil layer. Plants not only enrich the space, but also shape different functional areas, and
ensure that people who use different areas will not disturb each other.
There are different indoor furniture and appliances designed for different themed lifestyles
in each floor of the residential unit: there are open bathrooms designed for people who like
to take a bubble bath to relax; there are themed rooms for cat lovers, and the top floor is
designed for couples. Two-person residence and so on. Except for the third floor unit, all
apartments While ensuring privacy, the indoor space can see the entire sky at any time.
There are also some different settings in different units: for example, sliding doors that can
be used as shelves, full-face magnetic paint walls that can be used to hang photos or
paintings, modular storage shelves, and so on.

SITE AND SERVICES
The defining feature of the plan, from a natural
ventilation viewpoint, is a void which runs from floors
1–7, known as the “Wind Core. The infographics shows
the average mean consumption of energy throughout the
year in different functions and activities. The waste water
/greywater is used for landscape purposes. Five kinds of
waste bags are used for waste management system,
which categorise waste into domestic waste, food waste,
business waste, public purposes, and construction debris.
SUMMARY
The beauty of the project is how the spatial composition reflects the communal lifestyle. The
atrium is the spatial heart of the residence, yet it is the stacking of private units that creates
the space. The community cannot exist without the individual, and the individual is anchored
by the community. Residents look upon the garden twice: upon entry into the ground floor
and as they enter their unit. Community is not forced but coaxed: each unit is designed for a
single person with private bath and kitchenette, and residents only share amenities where
larger scale and community make for a better experience.
