At school break, Amel, Aulia, Clarisa, Dea, Nelsa and Nur gather around and telling each other
about their stories.
Amel : “You guys have any stories to tell?”
Dea : “Yes, I’ve got a childhood story for you.”
Putri : “What is it, Dea?”
Dea : “When I was a kid, I was riding a bike and I was not focused on the road. There was a
hole on the road, I fall because of it. My bike was not balanced, then I fall into a gutter.”
Putri : “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to laugh at you, but your story is really funny.”
Dea : “Yeah, it is funny. How about you? Do you get any stories to tell?”
Putri : “I watched an online dance competition on Youtube. It reminds me when I used to
participate in one when I was still in kindergarten, back in West Kalimantan. I’ve danced
‘Tari Pingan’, and won 2nd place in the district.”
Dea : “Wow, you’re so amazing!”
Lia : “I also got an interesting story.”
Dea : “What is it, Lia?”
Lia : “My big family went on an excursion to Parangtritis. The view is very beautiful. The
ocean breeze is refreshing. We ate some sea fishes, playing in the water, and rode a
boat. It was very fun, I enjoyed it a lot.”
Dea : “It sounds so fun. How about you, Nur?”
Nur : “I got a story about my most unforgettable memory. I got my first birthday present
from one of my close friend when I was in 2nd grade of middle school. Ten years I live,
I’ve never even once celebrate my birthday, let alone getting a present. At that time, I
really didn’t expect her to give me a gift because my birthday has passed a month ago.
But I feel so happy because that is my first ever birthday present from someone.”
Nelsa : “Talking about this, I remembered my childhood best friend. Me and my best friend
used to play cook, looking for butterflies together, and so much more. But, we’ve lost
contact over the years. I miss her a lot, I hope I can meet her someday.”
Nelsa : “How about you? Do you got any stories to tell?”
Clarisa : “A month ago, my house was struck by lightning. Some electronics at home was short
circuit because of it. The Wi-Fi doesn’t work, and my room light can’t turn on. Only 3
days ago it was fixed.”
The bell rang, it means that the school break has ended. All of them go back to their
seats and prepare for the next lesson.
