2007 Examination Timetables and Dates of Release of Results

1. Attached to this circular is a set of examination timetables for the following examinations:
(1) Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (AL) 2007
(2) Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (CE) 2007

2. Special features of the 2007 timetables


(1) There will be listening tests in the 2007 CE Chinese Language and English Language
examinations, which will be held on two Saturdays. Hence, the CE Chinese Language,
English Language and Mathematics examinations will not be held on consecutive days
(see paragraph 3);
(2) Some CE/AL subjects will be examined during the school Easter break (the Easter public
holidays will be from 6 to 9 April 2007).

3. School principals are requested to note the examination dates of the following subjects with the
greatest entries:

AS Chinese Language and Culture Friday 30 March 2007 (AM & PM)
Saturday 31 March 2007 (AM)
AS Use of English Monday 2 April 2007 (AM & PM)
Tuesday 3 April 2007 (AM)

CE Chinese Language Friday 27 April 2007 (AM)


Saturday 28 April 2007 (AM)
CE English Language Friday 4 May 2007 (AM)
Saturday 5 May 2007 (AM)
CE Mathematics Monday 7 May 2007 (AM)

The Authority would greatly appreciate it if schools could reserve the school halls/classrooms
for the conduct of the above examinations when planning their school activities in the next
academic year. A tentative plan for centre accommodation for the 2007 examinations will be
sent to schools in September 2006.

4. Dates of Release of Results

In order to help schools plan their calendars for 2006/2007, the dates of release of the 2007
HKALE and HKCEE results are tentatively fixed as follows:

HKALE Friday 29 June 2007


HKCEE Wednesday 8 August 2007

5. Principals of participating schools are requested to draw the attention of their teachers and
students concerned to the contents of this circular.
