Z & C Purlins
N M METAL ROOFING
Purlins, girts and eave struts are secondary structural
Z Purlin members used to support the wall roof panels. Purlins
are used on the roof, girts are used on the walls and
eave struts are used at the intersection of the
sidewall and the roof.
C Purlin Secondary members have two other functions:
§ Act as struts that help in resisting part of the
longitudinal loads that are applied on the building
such as wind and earthquake loads
§ Provide lateral bracing to the compression
flanges of the main frame members thereby
increasing frame capacity.
§ Purlins, girts and eave struts are availale in high
grade steel, avaialable in 1.5mm, 1.75mm,
2.0mm, 2.25mm, 2.5mm and 3.0mm thickness.
They come with a pre-galvanized finish or Cold
formed HR steel painted with red-Oxide Primer
and approved Paint Finish Colour.

Composite deck is designed for use with structural
concrete and is manufactured with mechanical
embossments in the webs to create mechanical and
chemical bond between the deck and the concreter.
The composite action allows the deck to serve as the
tensile reinforcement for positive bending in the slab,
which significantly reduces or eliminates the need for OUTER TO OUTER 960
rebar in the slab and lowers material and labour costs.
