ACTION OF PLAN:
‣ I started to think of the place I was going to
choose for the travelogue after we were told
about it.
‣ After choosing it, I went through the photos
to add to this travelogue.
‣ I then started to do the drafts and I
completed the content within 3 hours
‣ After knowing the format, I added the
necessary elements of this travelogue.
‣ Lastly, I have created a hard copy of my
work
chennai to ooty
It was around 10 years ago(2013) when we
decided to go on a trip to the queen of
hills,Ooty.
As a family of seven with my cousin’s family we
chose train travel over flight travel just to
extend and enjoy the journey and to feel the
essence of Ooty.
We travelled from Chennai to Coimbatore by
train and from there we reached Ooty by jeep.
All of us just loved the journey, and we just
spoke the whole night without sleeping.
DAY-1:
We reached Coimbatore and went to my uncle’s
house and took a break. Then we decided to
take a jeep for rent and climb the hills of Ooty.
We clicked some photos there and cherished
the cold breeze of Ooty. Then we returned to
the room to take a rest.
Day-2
The next morning we had our breakfast in our
room and planned to go to the famous Sri
Ganesh cottage and buy some homemade
chocolates.
The chocolates were damn tasty. We bought a
lot of chocolates for us and also for our
neighbours.
The cars on the road were just moving inch by
inch. So we decided to stay there for a while
and enjoy the view. My brothers and I grabbed
some snacks and started counting the cars
going on the road below us.
Once the traffic was cleared, we climbed the
jeep and went forward. My father took us to the
Nilgiri hills to see the tea plantations.
Then we decided to go on a boat ride and
stopped our jeep at the Ooty lake ticket counter
and waited about half an hour to rent a boat.
Finally we got our tickets and ran to our boat.
My brothers and I were sitting at the corner of
the boat and discussing what would happen if
the boat sinks.
It was my first time to travel in a boat house.
The view was just amazing. My brothers and I
were telling the operator of the boat to go fast
and calling the other boats for a race. After the
ride we went back to our room happily and
ended the beautiful day with camp fire.
DAY-3
The next morning we planned to see black
thunder. At that time I didn’t know much
about black thunder, and I was wondering
what it would be. As soon as we entered, I was
so excited to see many games there and ran to
play all those.
Then my father took us to the huge swimming
pool. After seeing that I went crazy jumping
into the pool and playing WWE smackdown
with my brothers. All of us were just enjoying
sliding and swimming.
Then we went to a huge slide and were very
afraid of looking down from such a distance.
But that fear vanished really so fast. We just
kept on sliding the same slide as it was that
much fun.
Then we saw a big shower under which people
were dancing to heavy music. We too joined
them and enjoyed a lot singing and dancing.
DAY-4
On day 4 we departed from our room and
decided to go back to Coimbatore and visit
some of the famous temples.
While travelling in the Jeep, I was so
worried to leave such a beautiful place and was
asking my mom, “When will we come here
again?”. Then we reached Coimbatore and took
a rest after our continuous journey. We visited
the famous marudhamalai temple and adiyogi
shiva temple.
After visiting all the temples, we had our
dinner at a normal restaurant and ended our
day happily.
Day-5
The next day, we planned to return to
Chennai. At that time, we chose flight travel
as I had school the next morning. I was so
upset to leave such a beautiful place and
come to Chennai again.
This trip is my personal favourite trip
amongst all the trips that I have taken and
thus I chose this trip for my travelogue.
REFLECTION:
By creating this travelogue, I have
improved my,
Writing skills
Vocabulary
Presentation skills
I learned to create a travelogue on my own
on the trip I went.
My interest for tourism has increased even
more after doing this travelogue.
I have recollected all my beautiful
childhood memories.
