Hermeticism and Pantheism in Johfra's Art

The document discusses Johfra's painting The Adoration of Pan and how it represents his interest in Hermeticism and pantheism. The painting depicts four groups of figures emerging from the classical elements of earth, water, fire and air, all swirling towards the central figure of Pan. Johfra was interested in reconciling opposites through a higher union, as represented by Hermes Trismegistos in the painting pointing both up and down.
