◊ The performance ofnew car power battery needs to be stable after three or four cycles. In
11
Electric Carrier User Manual

addition to the above precautions, for early charging, the following points should also be paid
attention to:
♦ The first four charging times of the should be no less than 16 hours.
♦ In the driving process after each charging, the instrument has a low voltage alarm, should be
charged as soon as possible, do not make the new battery overdischarge.

Driving essentials
New car running-in
In order to ensure the service performance of electric vehicles and improve the reliability and
service life of electric vehicles, the motor parts should be "run-in" before the maximum load.
Therefore, the run-in of the new car is stipulated as four charge and discharge cycles. And follow
the following specifications:
◊ Before the new car runs in, the brake fluid capacity must be carefully checked every day, and
if it is insufficient, it should be filled according to regulations; the tire pressure should be 350 kPa.
◊ Try not to drive on bad roads.

12
Electric Carrier User Manual

◊ During the running-in, the maximum load shall not exceed 75% of the rated load.
◊ The fasteners of each connecting part should be checked and tightened frequently.
◊ Do not slam on the accelerator, accelerate sharply, and try to avoid sudden braking.
◊ After running-in, check according to the items specified in the regular maintenance table.

Check before driving

◊ Confirm that the charging cable has been unplugged.
◊ Confirm that the windshield, rearview mirror, lights, etc. are clean and can work normally.
◊ Visually inspect the tire. If the tire position is low, use an air pressure gauge to measure the
tire pressure and inflate it in time to ensure that the tire pressure is at 350 kPa. Check whether the
wheel bolts are loose or fall off.
◊ Check if the emergency power off handle is pulled up.
◊ Turn the key to the "ON" position, after the motor controller is pre-charged for 2~5 seconds,
you can hear a "click" sound, indicating that the system is working normally and is in standby state.
◊ Check the battery capacity of the meter and the charging indicator light is green, it is normal,

13
Electric Carrier User Manual

and red indicates that the battery needs to be charged.

Start and drive

◊ Before starting, you should observe whether there are pedestrians and other passing vehicles
around the car, then shift the gear, and then slowly press the accelerator pedal, and the electric car
will start to drive.
◊ If the electric vehicle encounters a slope during the driving process, the speed of the vehicle
will decrease. At this time, the accelerator pedal should be stepped down to increase the driving
force. When going down a long slope, it is best to hold the brake pedal to avoid danger caused by
driving too fast.

Driving in the bad weather

Driving on cloudy, rainy and snowy roads requires the following considerations:
♦ Do not step on the brake pedal abruptly, but step on the pedal evenly and steadily to avoid
wheel locking, which will prolong the braking distance.

14
Electric Carrier User Manual

♦ Be careful when starting and accelerating. Sudden acceleration or sudden braking may cause
the wheels to spin and slip, causing the vehicle body to slide laterally.
♦ It should be avoided that the steering wheel is turned too fast and too large, and the steering
wheel should be controlled smoothly at a safe speed when turning. ★Try to bypass puddles with a
water depth of more than 10 cm to prevent water droplets from entering the electrical circuit and
affecting driving safety.

Electricity-saving driving methods

☆Avoid rapid acceleration to start
♦ Rapid acceleration to start, the current of the high-voltage circuit will be very large. Frequent
rapid acceleration and starting will affect the life of the motor controller and power battery, and
shorten the driving range.
◊ Avoid sudden stops
♦Sudden braking should be avoided as much as possible, because sudden braking will not only
accelerate the grinding of brake linings, but also the current feedback caused by emergency braking

15
Electric Carrier User Manual

will affect the motor controller, affecting the driving range and the life of the motor controller.
◊ Maintain a steady driving speed
♦ When the road and traffic conditions permit, the vehicle should maintain a stable driving
speed. vehicle starts, accelerates to
After a certain speed, the accelerator pedal can be relaxed a little, and the current speed can be
maintained.
◊ Maintain normal tire pressure
♦ Insufficient tire pressure will increase the rolling resistance, resulting in increased power
consumption, so normal tire pressure should be maintained.

Accessories and Modifications

◊ If electronic accessories are installed incorrectly or exceed the capacity of the vehicle's
electrical system, the vehicle's maneuverability may be affected.
◊ Before installing any accessories, it should be noted that:
♦ Confirm that the accessory will not cause any lights to dim and will not affect the normal
handling or performance of the electric vehicle.
16
Electric Carrier User Manual

♦ Make sure these electronic accessories do not overload the circuit (see fuse specification sheet)
♦ Before installing any electronic accessories, you should contact the maintenance personnel
of Li Shi service station.
◊ Modification
Do not dismantle any original equipment or modify it to alter its original design and operation.
Otherwise, the safety of the electric vehicle will be reduced.

Routine maintenance
Routine maintenance refers to the daily routine technical maintenance of electric vehicles, so
that the vehicle is often in complete and perfect technical condition. Its main content is centered on
inspection and dust removal, including: cleaning of the body surface, inspection of the safety
mechanism and the connection and tightness of each component. Routine maintenance can be carried
out by the driver before leaving the car, on the way and after the car is collected, without taking up
the time of leaving the car. Routine maintenance only takes a few minutes to ensure the safety and
comfort of driving, and to eliminate potential hidden dangers, which is very necessary for drivers.
At the same time, when inspecting an electric vehicle, you should at least perform the following
inspections or cleanings.
◊ Visually inspect the tire. If the tire position is low, use an air pressure gauge to measure the
tire pressure and inflate it in time to ensure that the tire pressure is around 350 kPa, and check
whether the wheel bolts are loose or fall off.
◊ Before driving every day, you must check whether the total voltage of the power battery and
the brake fluid are sufficient. If it is insufficient, you should charge it in time or add brake fluid as
23
Electric Carrier User Manual

required.
◊ Check whether important electrical components work normally, such as: horn, combination
meter, wipers, headlights, brake lights, turn signals, small headlights, etc. If there is a problem, it
should be repaired immediately.
◊ Clean the inside and outside of the car, remove the dust and mud inside and outside the car,
wipe the paint surface of the car body, and remove the frost, snow, water and dust on the front
windshield, rearview mirror, and exterior lights to ensure that the surface is clean , does not hinder
driving. Cleaning can be done with a vacuum cleaner, duster, wiping material, etc.

Periodic inspection
Your electric vehicle should undergo the necessary monthly regular inspections:
◊ Check the brake fluid level.
◊ Blow off the dust on the radiator of the motor controller with air to ensure that the radiator of
the motor controller is not covered with sand.
◊ Check the tire pressure, check the tire wear and whether there are foreign objects.
24
Electric Carrier User Manual

◊ Check the condition of the power battery every month to see if the electrodes are corroded.
Measure the total voltage of the battery after charging. The upper and lower deviation of the
measured cell voltage should be within ±0.5V. If the deviation exceeds 1V, it must be removed and
balanced before it can be used.
◊ Check whether the parking handle works normally, and check whether the brake pedal works
normally.
◊ Check whether the headlights, position lights, side indicator lights, tail lights, turn signal
lights and brake lights are working properly.
◊ Check the sound condition of the horns.

Other self-maintenance
◊ Brake pedal and parking brake inspection
♦ Brake pedal free travel check: Turn off the motor, first step on the brake
pedal a few times to reduce the vacuum pressure of the booster, then gently
and slowly depress the brake pedal with your hand until you feel resistance,
then measure the distance. If the free travel is not within 4-8mm, you should
25
Electric Carrier User Manual

contact Lizzie service personnel for adjustment.

♦Parking brake check: When you slowly pull out the parking brake handle, if you hear 6~8
clicks, the adjuster is correct. If the number of sounds is not within this range, you should go to the
Lishi specialized repair station for overhaul and adjustment.
♦ Inspection of brake fluid: Check the fluid level of the brake fluid tank visually. The fluid level
should be within 10mm of the "MAX" line. If the fluid level is low, the brake fluid reservoir should
be replenished with brake fluid. When adding brake fluid, care should be taken because brake fluid
can damage the eyes and the painted surface of the body. Brake fluid can no longer be used if it has
been in contact with air for more than a year. Because the brake fluid can breathe moisture in the air,
if it absorbs too much moisture, it will reduce the efficacy of the brake fluid, and the brake fluid
should be replaced regularly.
♦ Maintenance of tires: The use of tires that are excessively worn or inflated will cause a crash,
which will seriously threaten your personal safety. The impact of the road edge, the jump on the pit,
the unexpected obstacle in the collision and the frequent driving on the bad road are the important
causes of tire damage, which should be avoided as much as possible when driving.
1) Inflate
Properly inflate the tires, so that the handling and driving can reach the ideal level, and at the
same time, the service life of the tires can be extended. In addition to threatening safety, over- or
under-inflation can cause uneven wear, making your ride less stable and more prone to damage from
26
Electric Carrier User Manual

overheating. Insufficient inflation will drain the battery faster.

We recommend that you visually inspect your tires daily and check the air pressure with a
barometer at least once a month. Check the tire pressure while the tires are cool (three hours after
parking).
2) Visual inspection
Regularly inspect the tires for damage and remove any inserts (rocks, metal pieces, etc.) that
may penetrate the carcass, they can seriously damage the carcass.
If you notice protrusions and bumps on the underside and sides of your tires; cuts, splits, and
cracks on the underside of your tires; excessive wear on the underside of your tires, replace these
tires. If you are not sure about the past condition of a tire, do not install it. Your old tire must be
inspected by a professional to make sure you can continue to use it.
♦ Replacing the wiper blades
Once the wiper blades fail to wipe the windshield adequately, the wiper blades may be worn or
cracked and must be replaced.
♦Self-maintenance of electrical parts
1) Maintenance of power battery
Check the battery electrodes. If they are corroded, use soda water and a brush to clean the

27
Electric Carrier User Manual

electrodes. Rinse the battery with clean water after cleaning. However, care should be taken that the
cleaning fluid does not penetrate into the battery. If the connection is loose, the nuts should be
tightened. Tighten the strips that hold the battery in place, but do not damage the battery case.
In addition, you should regularly measure the voltage of the single battery with a multimeter,
preferably after the battery is fully charged and left for 3 hours. The upper and lower deviation of
the voltage of each single battery cannot exceed 0.5V. If the upper and lower deviation of the battery
voltage is too large, equalization charging should be performed when the charging is completed.
NOTE: The battery should not be placed upside down or sideways, and should be handled
with care when moving, maintenance-free batteries do not need to be added with water.
2) Electric vehicle exterior lights
You should check the working of your exterior lights at least once a month, if the lights burn
out it will reduce your visibility and misunderstand your intentions for other drivers, which is bad
for your safety. If it is found that the bulb of the electric vehicle is burned out, it should be purchased
and replaced according to the specified model and specification.
You should perform regular inspections of the following lights: headlights, position lights, tail
lights, brake lights, turn signals, front and rear fog lights.
3) Check and replace the fuse
If some electrical components do not work properly, the fuse may be burned out, and should be

28
Electric Carrier User Manual

checked as soon as possible. The fuse box is located in the front cabin. Turn off the ignition switch
before opening the fuse box cover. See the label on the cover of the fuse box for the arrangement
diagram and function of each fuse.
