The National Museum of Anthropology houses the anthropology and archaeology

divisions of the National Museum of the Philippines. It was formerly known as the
Museum of the Filipino People. Its aim is to preserve the cultural heritage of the
Philippines and to educate others.

The University of San Carlos Museum was formally inaugurated on 23 April 1967 by
Fr. Pres. Rudolf Rahmann, SVD with First Lady Imelda Romualdez Marcos, a few
minutes before husband Pres. Ferdinand Marcos delivered the commencement address
to the graduating class.
It was envisioned the 1950s by Philippine abstract painter Fernando Zóbel de Ayala y
Montojo as a museum of Philippine history and iconography, The six story building
was designed by Leandro V. Locsin Partners, led by Leandro Y. Locsin, Jr. It was
formally dedicated on September 28, 2004.
Aguinaldo Shrine in Palanan is a historic place where the First President of the
Philippine Republic, General Emilio Aguinaldo surrendered to the American forces,
thus ending the Philippine Revolution in March 1901. Palanan is accessible by
aircraft, pump boat and trail hiking thru Sta.
The newly renovated Clark Museum features an expanded collection of artifacts, true-
to-life replicas, scenic dioramas, old photographs, murals and interactive displays
among others significant to the history of Clark, Pampanga and surrounding areas,
generally called Metro Clark.
Museo Filipino has a little bit of Philippine history, a tribute to Filipino heroes, a café
inspired of Spanish and Filipino food favorites, and a souvenir shop of exclusively

History. The Balay Negrese Museum was originally the abode of Victor Gaston, who
was credited as one of the pioneers of sugarcane cultivation in the region. The
construction of the house began in 1897—during Silay’s height as a cultural and
economic center.
The Museo Pambata is a children’s interactive museum, the first of its kind in the
Philippines. It is in a sense an alternative to the formal classroom environment where
learning resembles a one-way street – the teacher imparts knowledge and the students
absorb it.
Bonifacio Art Foundation, Inc. started planning for the first world-class home for
science in the country in January 2007. Continuing thanks to private corporations and
individuals whose contributions made it possible for The Mind Museum to open its
doors to the public on March 16, 2012.
Museo Sugbo is housed in what was once called Cárcel de Cebú, the provincial jail of
Cebu. Designed in 1869 by Domingo de Escondrillas, the lone architect in Cebu at the
time, the Cárcel de Cebú was originally proposed as the Cárcel del Distrito, the main
prison for the Visayas District.
The Casa Manila (Manila W House) is a colonial lifestyle museum, which features the
domestic life of the upper class in 19 th Century Philippines. Built from 1981 to 1983,
façade of the structure was inspired from a house that once stood at Jaboneros street
in the Chinese district of Binondo in the 1850s.
Malacañang Palace was originally built as a casita (or country house) in 1750 – made
of adobe, wood, with interiors panelled with finest narra and molave. It sits in a 16
hectare land owned by Spanish aristocrat Don Antonio V. Rocha.
Background. The construction of the BenCab Museum’s building began in 2006. The
museum institution itself was established in 2009 by National Artist Benedicto
Cabrera with the BenCab Art Foundation managing the facility.
It was designed by Andres Luna de San Pedro, the son of renowned Filipino painter
Juan Luna. The building was completed in 1928 and survived the Battle of Manila in
the mid-1940s. The First United Building Community Museum is located at
building’s Mezzanine Level and is open from Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 5:00

The museum was founded in 2010 to publicly exhibit the art collection of Filipino
neurologist and patron of the arts, Dr. Joven Cuanang. The museum (pintômeans door
in Filipino) was founded on the principle that art plays a diplomatic role in bridging
distinctive nationalities, worldviews, and communities.
