This week, I've fully launched myself into the creation of my social media app by entering the initial development stages of my designs such as creating
my first drafts of Wireframes, logos and brand boards. Firstly, I begun sketching my wireframes on paper as it's important to do so before deciding to
start creating digitally, therefore I now have an idea for what pages and elements need to be made, where to place them, and what they should look like.
After sketching additional wireframes such as the welcome page, log-in / set-up page, home page, comments page, and profile pages, I believe I'm now
fully ready to begin digital developments on software such as Adobe XD and Figma (which I plan to evaluate and compare to see what would be best
suitable for this project). An essential additional research task I underwent was gaining an insight to Apple's iOS layout guidelines and learning the proper
technical terms for the barriers and safe-margins when developing app content. The knowledge I've gained from this task will be incredibly beneficial to
know before starting digital developments as I can now avoid the error of placing content in unsuitable locations. I also briefly discussed on my Weebly
page the useful Design Thinking Process that will help me develop a more efficient approach to problem-solving and ensuring my work successfully
addresses and provides solutions to common problems that my Target Audience is currently facing. Additionally this week, I've begun developing
components for my brand board such as finalizing versions of my colour palette, typography guidelines and brand imagery that will be incredibly beneficial
to easily drag and drop into my digital developments, saving me time when creating repetitive pages. Furthermore, I've fully engaged within the process
of making my logo by sketching variants and proceeding forwards with digital concept ideas that still need working on and improving before coming to
a final version. Lastly, this week was highlighted with the presentation of my Elevator Pitch to my tutor, promoting the ideas and tasks that I'm aiming to
achieve within this project and what I've already done to set myself up for a succesful and high-quality final product. Next week, I want to continue fully
immersing myself with the digital aspect of my designs, including starting my first draft of digital developments and coming to a finalized version of my logo.
