are looking for compelling voices with strong characters and a gripping story – an “unputdownable
read” for 13-15 year olds. The Young Writers Competition has several categories, which include
Junior Writers – Prose and Poetry (for young people in school level years 5 – 6), Middle Writers –
Poetry and Prose (for young people in school level years 7- 9) and Senior Writers – Poetry and Prose
(for young people in school years 10 -12 or for 15-18 year olds who are not in secondary school).
