ITEM DESCRIPTION
Per meter squared / square meter, supply, install and, test waterproofing of reinforced
concrete flat roof, using reinforced Plastomeric bituminous membrane with thickness 4.0 mm
± 0.2 mm on single layer/2 perpendicular layers, manufactured by SIKA or similar.

The item includes the following; clearing and ensuring the concrete surface is ready to be
insulated by curing any possible cracks, patches, bare reinforcement. Then leveling the
brickwork of chords to prepare the slopeto-fall concrete heading to the stormwater drainage
points, horizontal/vertical concrete cove not less than 20 cm in radius.

Besides grooving the parapet to interpolate the vertical membrane. Also, it includes laydown the
hot liquid bitumen under the membrane as the polyester reinforcement melts at +260 °C and
laying the membrane with overlapping not less than 15 cm, as well as, treating the connection
with drainage points as shown in construction drawings.

Item should include slope to-fall concrete with 7cm thick avg. besides all needed accessories and
equipment. This work must conform the site engineer’s instructions as prescribed in Egyptian
Code for Water and Damp proofing, approved product specifications and datasheet.
