GENERAL
! WARNING
• If the engine is running to do some work, make sure the area is well ventilated. Never run the engine in an enclosed area
The exhaust contains poisonous carbon monoxide gas that can cause loss of consciousness and may lead to death. Run
the engine in an open area or with an exhaust evacuation system in an enclosed area.
• Serious burns may result if the exhaust system is not allowed to cool before components are removed or serviced.
• Petrol is extremely inflammable and is explosive under certain condition. Work in a well ventilated area with the engine in
stop condition. Do not smoke, allow flames, sparks in the work area where petrol is stored.
• Park the vehicle on ramp before starting any work.
• The oil filter screen, oil filter rotor cleaning and oil pump servicing can be done with engine in the frame.
• Some maintenance jobs requires removal of body panels. Refer base manual (SECTION-2) for the removal/installation
of required body panels.

To be serviced by your Authorised Authorised Distributor/Dealer unless the owner has the relevant tools, technical information and is technically qualified.
In the interest of safety, we recommend that these jobs are carried out only by your Authorised Distributor/Dealer.
Note-1 : At higher odometer readings, repeat the frequency interval established here.
Note-2 : Service more frequently if the vehicle is ridden in unusually wet or dusty areas.
Note-3 : Replace engine oil once in every 6000 km. Top up if the oil level is at or near the lower level mark.
Note-4 : Visit Authorised Distributor/Dealer for inspection, cleaning, lubrication and adjustment of drive chain at every 700 km
Note-5 : Replace brake fluid once in every two years or 30000 km, whichever is earlier.
Note-6 : Inspect & maintain specified torque.
Note-7 : Inspect the bearings free play, replace if necessary.
Note-8 : Replace front fork oil once in a every 2 years or 30000 km, whichever is earlier.
Note-9 : Inspect rear suspension mounting bushes play, replace rear shock absorber if necessary.
Note-10 : Check idle CO emission along with idle rpm/idle CO adjustment (if required).
Note-11 : Inspect the canister hoses for deterioration, damage or loose connections and canister for cracks or other damages.
Ensure that each paid service is availed within 90 days or 3000 km from the date of previous service, whichever is earlier.
Note: Always wipe the water from the vehicle after washing. Use clean soft cloth or pressurised air for completely drying the water.

OIL COOLER PROTECTOR BOLTS
OIL COOLER
Check the oil cooler air passages for clogging or damage.
Remove the oil cooler fins cover bolt, allen key screws and
cover.
Straighten the bent or collapsed fins with a suitable small,
blade type screw driver if necessary.
Blow out dirt, mud or other obstructions from between core
fins with compressed air or wash it off with low pressure water.
NOTE
Make sure not to damage the fins while cleaning.

CAUTION
• Do not use high pressure washing spray directly on the oil
cooler as it may damage the fins and any physical contact
with fins has to be avoided.
• Avoid keeping any cloth or flammable object between hot
parts (muffler, oil cooler, engine) and fairing.
