Summary

Seven men's lives slowly overlap as they realize they're drawn to each other. Throw in a
dream-walking ability, and you've got yourself a FANFIC.

(This fic will cross over with a canon ot7 fic I'm writing simultaneously, but you don't need to
read both to track the story lines. There will just be some reference moments that you might
miss if you don't read the other one.)

Notes

allllllllright. i'm trying something new cause.....it's ao3. why not. this fic isn't pre-written so i
cant make a lot of promises on how this crossover adventure will work, but i think it'll be
fun! dream walking between parallel universes! what could go wrong?????

DISCLAIMER: This is a work of fiction. Yes, this is RPF (real person fic), but the vast
majority of these characters, their perspectives, and their backstories has been created by me.
Their appearance, names, some interests, and personality traits are the same as reality. These
people's sexualities, no matter what they may be, is none of my business. I am not
speculating about these people's real lives. I am using their situations as inspiration for a
story. Please don't tag BTS or in anyway make it so that this fic is brought to their attention.
Let's respect their privacy. If they want to go looking for fanfic on their own, they can, but
let's give them the choice of whether they want to see it or not.

TWO

Ocean waves crash in a faraway sea.

A desert lived here once, but its heart was warmed by water and life. Organisms, plants,
animals, rocks: they all coexist to bring peace to this one spot.

Waves crash.

Birds caw.

A hand runs through the sand slowly, a caress as the sun-heated sand warms his skin.

He looks up and the sun blinds him for a moment before he can focus on six silhouettes in
front of him.

Jin opens his eyes.

The dream lingers in his mind for just a moment, but he shakes it off. He starts his morning
routine.

Covers pushed back, feet in slippers, stretch.

Drink water on the nightstand, move to the kitchen, make coffee.

Rinse off in the shower, put on robe, drink coffee, choose an outfit.

Fry an egg or two, grab a piece of fruit, eat something with carbs, wash dishes.

Open laptop, sit at desk, work.

He’s really just a consultant at his parents’ company for now, but he’s learning how to one
day take over. He lives in New York, but the company is actually in Germany. He’s not quite
ready to make the commute too often yet. Something is keeping him in Manhattan.

He can’t put a finger on it, but he’s going to stay until he knows what it is.

-x-

Jimin likes to drink. He likes to dance. And he likes to fuck.

When he first got a job as a bartender, he imagined it going differently. He didn’t quite think
through the fact that he’s not allowed to drink on the clock so he’s sober and dealing with
drunk people and he can’t leave the bar to go to the dance floor. Really, bartending is hell.
Even if he gets someone’s number on a napkin, he can’t leave and follow them home and
then he has to watch them leave with someone else.
This job was a stupid idea. The only plus is that it’s a gay club so he gets to ogle the male
dancers when he has a second to breathe behind the bar.

He wants to be up there with them, but he’s not sure he could deal with the groping. The
dancers here don’t strip and you’re not supposed to touch them, but if you put scantily clad
hot men in a crowd of drunk people, there’s going to be some groping.

He always keeps his eye on Hoseok. The way he moves is too artful for where he’s doing it.
He’s too well trained for something like this, but Jimin understands. It pays the bills and he
clearly loves to dance. It’s better than, say, being trapped behind a bar all night.

-x-

Yoongi texts Jin again.

He’s not sure why he does it.

He hasn’t talked to Jin in years, but they’d been so close all those years ago and he feels so
goddamn alone right now.

Jin had gone radio silent when he started to get serious about his parents’ company and
Yoongi remembers very vividly that Jin wanted nothing to do with the company, yet here he
is.

They met at music lessons in the city. It was so stupid. Yoongi on scholarship at a ritzy school
because he was talented, and Jin just…rich.

Yoongi’s not even really sure how they became friends.

He’s also not sure how they became boyfriends, but getting drunk and fucking around
probably had something to do with it.

But now Jin is gone and Yoongi knows he should move on, but he can’t help himself. He
keeps thinking about how good things were with Jin. They never even had a real reason to
break up.

He calls him and is surprised when there’s an answer.

“Hi, um. I think you have a wrong number.” The strange voice shocks Yoongi.

Yoongi stammers, “Oh. Uh, you don’t know a Seokjin?”

The man laughs awkwardly. “No, I don’t. I, um, hope things work out with you and him but
he changed his number.”

Yoongi blushes as he realizes this strange man got all his texts.

“Um, bye. Good luck.” The call ends.

-x-
A milkshake with two straws sits in the center of the table as Namjoon and Tae drink from it
together.

Tae laces their fingers together over the table. “I know you hate me talking about him, but
I’m worried about Jimin.”

Namjoon sighs, shaking his head. “I don’t hate you talking about him, Taetae. It just feels a
little weird. He’s your friend and you’re worried about him, but he’s my ex. I honestly don’t
know how you’re making this work as it is. You’re worried about him, but I’m worried about
you .”

Tae pouts cutely. “I’m fine. Really, Jimin’s happy to be my friend as long as he doesn’t have
to see you.”

Namjoon sighs. “So he still hates me. And he still thinks I left him for you?”

Tae deadpans. “The two of you are so dramatic. He just needs space. Maybe one day we can
all be friends again, but let him have his space.”

Namjoon narrows his eyes. “It’s been two months since you and I got together and four
months since he and I broke up.”

Tae slurps at the milkshake. “And he was in love with you.”

Namjoon sighs. “That’s not fair.”

Tae’s eyes go wide. “Of course it’s not fair, that’s that truth. The truth is never fair. It’s just
true.”

Namjoon swallows. “God, you’re sexy when you get philosophical.”

Tae raises an eyebrow. “Oh yeah? What are you gonna do about it?”

Namjoon shrugs. “I can think of a few things.”

They pay for their food and leave the diner, practically running back to their shared
apartment. Tae loses his sock on the doorstep, but neither of them really care.

-x-

It’s 5 a.m. when Jimin finally gets home.

He collapses onto his bed in his studio apartment. He tries not to think about the fact that his
parents are still paying his rent and he’s just making money for food and expenses. It makes
his job feel pointless if he can’t even afford his own bills.

He tries to put that out of his mind by doing the one thing he shouldn’t: thinking about
Namjoon.

There’s something about the guilt of it all that makes thinking about it unavoidable.
Or maybe it’s just that Jimin’s never been in love before Namjoon and he’s a little convinced
he’ll never love again. But Tae loves Namjoon now, so he doesn’t fight back. If anyone other
than Jimin is going to have Namjoon, Tae is the only one Jimin can accept.

But Jimin still has images fresh in his mind of Hoseok in his leather harness grinding to the
music and he’s always a little hard at the club, so it doesn’t take much for Jimin to remember
the exact proportions of Namjoon’s body, the texture of his skin, the heat of his tongue. He
used to know it so well. He used to have it every night.

He gets his lube and gets down to it before the guilt can stop him.

He imagines Namjoon moving like Hoseok did, which is ironic because Namjoon is too
uncoordinated to move like that, but fuck is it hot to imagine.

And Jimin imagines getting up on stage beside him, wearing his own harnesses and maybe
some eyeliner and eyeshadow. He imagines the crowd being into them and them being into
each other. He imagines grabbing, grinding, grinning into a lewd kiss.

It’s nothing like how things were with Namjoon and maybe that’s what makes this okay,
because it’s truly a fantasy.

Jimin works himself over the edge and keeps Namjoon’s face fresh in his mind as the
pleasure shoots through his body.

He’s usually good about getting himself cleaned up after, but a wave of exhaustion hits him
and he falls asleep.

His dream is a little too vivid, mostly because he can tell he’s dreaming right off the bat.

Namjoon stands in front of him and everything else is black.

Namjoon looks different. He’s so well groomed, and his hair his dyed and styled. His clothes
look expensive and coordinated.

Namjoon squints at him. “Jimin?”

Jimin responds back to him. “Uh…Namjoon?”

Namjoon laughs. “Wow, not gonna call me hyung?”

Jimin blinks. “Call you what?”

“Hyung.” Namjoon’s laughter turns to confusion. “Why are you acting like you don’t know
what hyung means?”

Jimin runs a hand through his hair, “I know it’s like, a kink of yours to debate language and
grammar and all that, but I’d rather just skip to the fucking part. These dreams never last
long.”

Namjoon chokes. “Wow. Uh, okay.”

Jimin raises an eyebrow. “Okay?”

Namjoon presses a finger to his temple. “Wait, how do you know this is a dream? How can
this be a dream if you said it’s a dream?”

Jimin doesn’t want to play these games. It skews too much toward reality to hear Namjoon
speak like that. “We’re either dream-fucking or I’m waking up. Pick one.”

Namjoon’s clothes disappear and he yelps and covers himself with his hands. “I‒I didn’t
mean to‒”

Jimin laughs and strips his own clothes off quickly as he walks to close the distance. “This is
more my pace.”

He presses his lips to Namjoon’s crudely. It’s nothing like how delicate he was when he was
in love. This is hate sex, through and through. He’s still angry. He feels betrayed. He
shouldn’t, but he does, and he fucking misses Namjoon.

The blackness morphs into a bedroom and Namjoon finds himself restrained to a bed.

Jimin smiles down at him. “Can’t get away from me now, can you?”

Namjoon speaks softly, “Don’t know that I’d want to even if I could.”

Jimin hums, satisfied. “That’s good to hear.”

Namjoon looks at Jimin’s hair. “How is your hair...is your hair virgin?”

Jimin snorts. “It’s the only thing on me that is.”

Namjoon blushes.

Jimin looks at him. “Why are you being so weird? We’ve done this before.”

Namjoon barks a laugh. “We absolutely have not.”

Jimin sits up, finding himself on Namjoon’s lap totally nude. He’s not really concerned with
what Namjoon sees.

Jimin has a lot of vivid memories of dream-walking to fuck Namjoon. He’d even taught
Namjoon how to recognize a dream and give his consent. He was definitely surprised that
Namjoon was okay with this since he was so against even talking in dreams since he got with
Tae, but now he’s acting like…

“Where are you right now?”

Namjoon looks around. “Uh, some bedroom?”

Jimin tsks. “No, like where are you?” He tries to get through the dream haze. “Where is your
apartment?”
“Seoul.”

Jimin blinks at the answer. “Seoul? Isn’t that like…Korea?”

Namjoon makes a face. “Of course it is.”

Jimin laughs. “We live in New York.”

The restraints fade. Namjoon lets his arms fall by his side. “No, we don’t.”

It hits Jimin hard. “Oh my god, you’re not my Joon. You’re a different Joon. This is a parallel
universe.” Jimin scans Namjoon’s body. “Wow, you don’t have any of his scars. Why are you
so well groomed? Why are you so much more toned?”

Namjoon blinks. “I’m an idol.” His voice is soft, trying to keep up.

They’re both still very naked. Jimin barks a laugh. “What? A Kpop idol? Like wears makeup,
learns dance routines? Fan service?”

Namjoon frowns at the condescending tone in Jimin’s voice. “Yes. And you are too.”

Jimin blanches. “Excuse me?”

Namjoon nods. “Yeah. We’re in the group together.”

Jimin shakes his head. “No, in my universe, I’m a college dropout and you’re my ex-
boyfriend who left me for my best friend.”

Namjoon prods, “Who’s your best friend?”

“Tae.”

Namjoon’s eyebrows shoot up. “So in your universe, you and I dated and now I’m with Tae?”

Jimin snorts. “You know Tae?”

Namjoon nods. “He’s in the group too. There’s seven of us.”

Jimin giggles and falls off Namjoon’s laugh. “I can’t even imagine that. The three of us all
dolled up dancing together.” He sits up after his laughing fit ends. “Can we still fuck? Or
would that freak you out? Are you and your Jimin intimate?”

Namjoon laughs shakily. “Uh, not yet.”

Jimin smiles predatorily. “Wanna find out what he’s like?”

The restraints reappear and Namjoon lets his arms be pinned back. “God, yes.”

Jimin studies him, runs a finger down this new Namjoon’s chest. “I like you.”
Namjoon laughs and Jimin gets back on his lap and grinds their hips together without
hesitation.

Namjoon gaps, “Wow, you’re nothing like my Jimin.”

Jimin laughs. “I don’t think people change too much across timelines. You’re a lot like my
Joon so maybe your Jimin will surprise you.”

Namjoon’s jaw goes slack.

Jimin laughs. “You like that? The idea that he’s pretending to be soft and is hiding something
dark? That’s kinky.”

“Pink.” Namjoon pants out. “Can you make your hair pink?”

Jimin tilts his head as he slowly wraps his hand around Namjoon’s dick. “My hair?”
Namjoon whines. Jimin thinks about it and shakes his head. His hair turns pink. “Like that?”

Namjoon surges forward and presses their lips together hungrily.

An alarm goes off and yanks Jimin out of the dream.

He curses and tries to remember the details but the abrupt exit makes it hard to hold onto.

He remembers something about another universe, another timeline.

Seven.

Namjoon said something about seven.

The number resonates in his chest and he’s not sure why.

CANON NEXT CHAPTER

FOUR

Jungkook goes to the club for one masochistic reason: Hoseok.

He always blends into the crowd to make sure Hoseok can’t see him, but he’s always worried
he’ll be spotted.

He sits at the bar and watches him dance through the crowd.

“I always watch him too.”

Jungkook startles at the voice next to him.

The bartender looks at him with a wry smile. “Can I get you a drink? Your mouth looks a
little dry.”

Jungkook blushes as he’s called out. “Whiskey neat.”

Jimin hums. “ID?”

Jungkook frowns. “Really?”

Jimin nods.

Jungkook tsks, “They ID’d me at the door.”

Jimin shrugs. “I don’t trust them. You look young.”

Jungkook hands over his ID and Jimin studies it. “Jungkook. Seems legit. I can get you
Hoseok’s number if you want to c‒”

“I don’t need his number, thanks. He’s already blocked me.”

Jimin raises an eyebrow.

Jungkook blanches. “Wait, that sounds bad. He’s my ex. We used to date.”

Jimin frowns, getting a little protective of his fellow employee. “So now you just stalk him?”

Jimin places the drink in front of him and Jungkook happily takes a long sip. “It’s
complicated.”

Jimin throws a towel over his shoulder. “You’re here early, the bar is empty, and Hoseok is
literally just practicing with the day crowd. I’m a bartender. You’re supposed to rant to me.
Or I can make sure you’re blacklisted for stalking an employee.”

Jungkook looks Jimin over. “You’re intense. I like you.”

Jimin smiles smugly. “Thanks. Compliments won’t distract me though.”

Jungkook shrugs. “Worth a shot.” He watches Hoseok as he holds his drink. “We used to
dance together. Not at clubs. Like a cover duo on YouTube.”

Jimin remembers those videos. He hadn’t recognized Jungkook because he always wore a
facemask. He remembers being heavily attracted to both of them. “What’d you do?”

Jungkook’s affronted. “What do you mean, what’d I do?”

Jimin gestures to Hoseok. “Obviously you’re not doing duets anymore. So what went
wrong?”

Jungkook shrugs. “I fell in love with him.”

Jimin waits. “And?”

Jungkook’s glare is sharp. “And he didn’t feel the same. He wanted it casual. Friends with
benefits.”

Jimin glances around. He has someone else helping him behind the bar now as the club gets
more crowded.

He gestures to his co-worker. “Two minutes.”

They nod to him and Jimin ducks under the bar.

He grabs Jungkook by the front of his shirt and drags him to a dark corner.

“What are you‒”

But Jungkook can’t finish his sentence as Jimin presses him against the wall and kisses him.

Jungkook knows he should protest, but he can feel Jimin’s body against his and he’s hot .
Jungkook’s hands explore while their lips move together, tongues colliding.

When Jimin feels Jungkook start to get hard he pulls back. “Dance with me.”

Jungkook nods in a daze.

Jimin pulls Jungkook’s phone out of his back pocket and has Jungkook unlock it. He enters
his phone number and saved the contact as Hot Bartender who can Dance .

Jungkook laughs at it.

Jimin suggestively slides the phone into Jungkook’s back pocket and then taps it. “I’ll make
you forget about him, at least for one night.”

Jungkook laughs again. “That’s a fair promise.”

Jimin nods and kisses him one more time. “I’ve gotta get back to work.”
Jungkook watches him go, a stupid smile on his lips. He runs to the bar. “When do you get
off?”

Jimin is already mixing a drink for a customer and throws him a sly grin. “After you call me
daddy.”

Jungkook turns red. “What time ?”

Jimin laughs to himself. “4 a.m.”

Jungkook nods. “I’ll be back.”

Jimin thinks about it. “Don’t. I’ll come to you.”

Jungkook raises an eyebrow.

Jimin shrugs. “Trust me, you’ll have the night of your life.”

-x-

Jin sits at a hotel bar by himself with a glass of red wine. He likes seeing if any girls are
brave enough to approach him, and he especially likes the courage of any men that accurately
read his preference.

He’s on his second glass when it stops being fun so he walks back to his nearby apartment
and collapses on the couch. He doesn’t mean to fall aslee‒

Everything is black except for a figure in front of him.

The figure tilts its head. “Jin?”

Jin knows that voice.

The figure, a man, steps forward. “Jin…where are we?”

Jin focuses on his face. “Yoongi?”

Yoongi’s expression darkens. “Oh good. So you recognize me. And here I was thinking you
might still have feelings for me, but no, you barely recognize my face.”

Jin squeezes his eyes shut. “Weird fucking dream.”

Yoongi looks him up and down. “Are you drunk?” Yoongi looks around and realizes things
are not so normal. He mumbles to himself, “Am I drunk?”

“No one asks me about my day.” Jin’s sitting at a bar, holding a glass of wine.

Yoongi feels out of place next to him. Jin wears a button up designer shirt and slacks.
Yoongi’s wearing a t-shirt and ripped jeans.

Jin continues, “You always did. You always asked.”

Yoongi runs his hand along the bar. It feels oddly detailed. “What’s going on? Are we
really…is this real? Are you real?”

The room shifts around them and Yoongi’s heartbeat accelerates. He quickly recognizes Jin’s
apartment, his bedroom.

Jin presses against him. “I missed you.”

Yoongi wakes up in a cold sweat.

He desperately reaches to turn on the lap on his nightstand. He’s home. His shitty apartment.

It was…just a dream.

-x-

Jimin sprints out of the bar when they’re closed and gets into bed with a smirk on his lips. He
thinks about Jungkook, the way he tasted, how his body felt, and lets his mind drift.

He’s gotten better at finding the right people when he does this.

Jimin opens his eyes and Jungkook stands in front of him. He smiles. “Jungkook.”

Jungkook looks around. “Weird. I was just…playing games. I don’t remember falling asleep.”

Jimin raises an eyebrow. “Playing games? You weren’t waiting for me?”

Jungkook looks at him weird. “You were busy.”

Jimin steps closer, but Jungkook seems different. Jimin notices his clothes. He curses.
“You’re fucking Korean, aren’t you?”

Jungkook startles. “What? Of course I am. Why did you curse about it?”

Jimin rolls his eyes. “You’re not the right Jungkook. What’s with your kpop timeline? Leave
me alone.”

Jungkook stares at Jimin intensely. “Hyung, are you okay?”

Jimin flinches. “Don’t call me that. What does that even mean?” He steps closer and
Jungkook lets him. “Your Namjoon seemed to want me, so maybe you’re the same. Maybe
this won’t be a wasted trip.” He presses against Jungkook, mouths colliding.

Jungkook pushes away. “Hyung!”

Jimin sighs. “You’re not as fun as my Jungkook.”

He jumps out of the dream and tries again. He thinks about this Jungkook. His bitterness
toward Hoseok. He tries to channel that.

“Jimin…”
Jimin opens his eyes and sees a different Jungkook, rougher around the edges.

Jimin smiles. “Ah, there you are.” The blackness morphs into a fancy hotel room with
champagne and a giant bed. “I believe I promised you the best night of your life.”

Jungkook rips his shirt off with eager eyes.

They crawl onto the bed together, mouths clashing.

They get undressed kind of messily, but it’s good. The energy is so high.

Jimin bites Jungkook’s lip. “Welcome to dream world. We don’t have to prep here.”

Jungkook raises an eyebrow. “Dream world?”

Everything in the room starts floating.

Jungkook looks around in awe. “Woah. Can I do that too?”

Jimin shakes his head, “No, just the‒” Jimin starts floating. He startles. “What the hell? Are
you doing that?”

Jungkook laughs. “Yeah. I just wanted to check you out from a better angle. Very hot.”

Jimin laughs, but shoots Jungkook a weird look. “No one else can usually do that. Control
stuff here. You’re the first…”

Jungkook smirks and lowers Jimin back onto him. “Two can play this game.”

Jimin’s eyes light up.

Every touch feels intensified as they map each other’s bodies with their hands.

Jimin feels overwhelmed, as if there’s too many hands on him. Jungkook has a hand in his
hair, a hand on his ass…

A third hand trails down his thigh and then wraps around his dick.

Jimin leans back and finds another body there. For a moment, he presses into it, chasing the
pleasure. The man’s body is warm against his back, hand around him, mouth pressing kisses
to his neck. His eyes snap open. “Jungkook, what did you‒”

The man stops what he was doing. “Jungkook?”

Jungkook notices the third person. “Hoseok?”

Hoseok’s frozen.

Jimin can’t help himself from thrusting into Hoseok’s fist. “It’s…just sex, Hoseok. I work with
you. You know me.”
Hoseok doesn’t remove his hand, but he doesn’t start to move either. “How did I get here?”

Jimin presses back against Hoseok, desperate for friction. “You can either leave or you can
keep going. Don’t worry about how you got here.”

Hoseok’s hand slowly starts to move again. Jimin whimpers, “Thank god. I’ve wanted to
dance with you so long.”

Jungkook laughs. “This is sex, Jimin. Not dancing.”

Hoseok lets his body press flush against Jimin’s. “Sex and dancing have a lot in common.”

Jimin nods. “As long as you fuck with style.”

Hoseok laughs, trailing his teeth over Jimin’s neck. “I like you.”

Jungkook frowns needily. “Can someone like me?”

Jimin giggles as he bends down, separating from Hoseok to press his chest to Jungkook’s.
“Hey, baby. Did you miss me?”

Jimin sits back up only to sink onto Jungkook.

Jungkook whines. “You weren’t kidding about the no prep.”

Hoseok’s hand is on him as Jungkook fucks up into him. “I’m‒I’m so‒”

Jimin wakes up rutting into his mattress.

He curses. “Close. Fuck. Why do I always take my time? I should’ve gone faster.”

His phone rings.

“Hey, uh. Weird question.” Jimin smiles at Jungkook’s hesitant voice. “You didn’t happen to
dream about me just now, did you?”

Jimin giggles. “You don’t have to prep in dream world.”

The line goes silent for a long time. “That was real? We were really in a dream together?”

Jimin touches himself casually as he listens to Jungkook’s voice. “We were. And I didn’t get
to finish, did you?”

Jungkook laughs cheekily, “I finished before I called. Had to ride the high. Um, but if we
were both really there, was Hoseok really there?”

Jimin remembers fondly, tightens his grip on himself with a moan. “Yeah, he was. He’s good.
I want to see him again.”

Jungkook gets distant. “Oh.”

Jimin’s voice is shaky. “Hey, don’t worry about it. He was into you. That’s a good sign. Can
you‒talk to me. I’m‒”

“Oh! Yeah, yeah. Uh, god I’m bad at this. We should do this again soon. There’s so much to
try. Hopefully Hoseok won’t be there.”

Jimin laughs, “Okay, shut up. You’re not helping at all.” Jimin talks to himself. “You were so
into him, I could tell. So hot. The way you wanted him but tried to resist it. I saw you grab
his thigh. It felt real, right? It felt like it used to.”

Jungkook hums, a hint of desire in his voice.

Jimin finds a pace. “I think I’m gonna dance with him at the club. What do you think? I’ll get
myself one of those outfits and I’ll jump up there. I bet he thinks I’m a fantasy. Imagine his
face when I get my mouth on him for real.”

Jungkook whines, “I thought you were getting off. You’re gonna get me hard again.”

Jimin laughs. “Your hands. You really know how to use your tongue. Wish we’d had more
time.”

Jungkook hears a quiet gasp. Jimin sounds different when he comes than he does when he’s
saying filthy things.

They both sit on the phone in silence for awhile.

Jungkook breaks it, “There’s more to you than you want people to see. I can tell. You’re
hiding behind all that charisma.”

Jimin laughs. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

Jungkook tsks. “I’ll figure you out, dream boy.”

He ends the call.

Jimin thinks maybe he could enjoy this challenge. No one’s ever tried to figure him out
before. Not even himself.

Chapter Notes
See the end of the chapter for notes

Hoseok wakes up and stretches.

He feels strange. He feels like he’s not awake yet, or like his dream was too real and he still
needs to fall asleep. It’s a strange sensation.

He remembers Jungkook. He remembers dreaming about Jungkook’s thighs, which isn’t

surprising. He often has vague dreams about Jungkook, how their bodies used to fit together
so well.

But he remembers someone else.

A threesome?

He’s surprised at himself. He’s not usually…into stuff like that. Has he watched a threesome
in porn? Sure. Who hasn’t? But he’s never dreamed about one.

He shakes it off. He has to get to the studio to teach lessons before running across town to
dance at the club.

His days are so long. It’s not surprising that he has wild dreams.

-x-

Jin puts his head down on his desk.

Maybe he didn’t make enough coffee, but he can’t stay awake anymore. It’s only 10 a.m. but
he’s totally out of it. He’ll work a night shift every so often so he can be awake during work
hours in Germany. He’s been up since 2 a.m.

He finally lets his eyes shut.

“Jin?”

Jin forces his eyes open. “Yoongi. Oh my god. I haven’t seen you in forever.”

Yoongi tilts his head. He looks good. Jin’s mad. Yoongi’s not supposed to look so good after
all these years. “We were together all day.”

Jin doesn’t understand. “I haven’t seen you in years.”

Yoongi laughs, a little nervously, “Is this some sort of meme from the web comic?”

Jin gives up on words and just walks forward, throwing his arms around Yoongi.
Yoongi relaxes. “Woah, what’s wrong, hyung?”

Jin holds him. “Hyung? Since when do you call me hyung?”

Yoongi hugs him back. “Since always. What’s with you?”

“Do you ever think about what we could’ve been? If we’d figured this out years ago. If I’d
tried harder to make us work? I gave it all up for my career and you let me because you
believed that I could do something. And now I’m just working for my parents.”

Yoongi pushes away. “Okay, you lost me at parents. You’re not working for your parents
unless your obnoxiously rich family bought Big Hit suddenly?”

Yoongi keeps saying all these things Jin doesn’t understand. He doesn’t need words. “Can I
kiss you?”

Yoongi swallows. “Oh. Uh, yeah. Sure.” They kiss softly, mouths moving together without
tongue. “Hyung…” Jin doesn’t comment on the honorific this time. “Do you have an
accent?”

Jin steps away to see Yoongi’s face more clearly. “An accent? No. I think I’m around too
many accents to develop a specific one. Just a standard, flat American accent.”

“American?” Yoongi’s brow furrows.

Jin takes a breath as he sits up.

Yoongi.

He hasn’t let himself think about Yoongi in years.

Yoongi always thought too highly of him. Yoongi made him think he could be more than he
is. It was dangerous.

Yet here he is, dreaming of the only man who ever made him feel happy and loved.

He picks his phone up off the table. He’d gotten a new number a year ago, but he knows he
still has Yoongi as a contact.

He opens up a new text message.

Jin: Yoongi? Did you change your number? This is Jin. If you hate me, don’t respond.

Tae frowns as he sits on Jimin’s bed.

Jimin scoffs. “Don’t look at me like that. It was a moment of weakness.”

Tae keeps his arms folded across his chest. “You tried to dream fuck my boyfriend?”
Jimin scoots around anxiously next to him. “No! We talked about this. When I’m bitching
he’s my ex. And I didn’t even make it to your Namjoon. I found some alternate universe
Namjoon.”

Tae’s frown doesn’t budge. “But you were looking for my Namjoon.”

Jimin whines. “I’m weak. You know I’m a shit person, Taetae. If it was your Namjoon, he
would’ve said no, okay? Hate me. Don’t hate Joon. And you’re focusing on the wrong part of
this story. Remember the part where I almost had a threesome with two other dancers?”

Tae’s still thinking really hard. “Do you still have feelings for Namjoon?”

Jimin’s hyper energy fades. “Tae. We agreed not to talk about that.”

Tae looks at Jimin with pity in his eyes. “So you do.”

Jimin looks away. “I’m gonna talk to Hoseok tonight and make sure he remembers me.”

“What am I supposed to do? Knowing that you still love him?”

“ I SAID NOT TO TALK ABOUT IT, TAEHYUNG.” Jimin raises his voice suddenly,
screaming like he’s in pain.

Tae startles.

Jimin starts to hyperventilate. “God, I’m so sorry. I’m sorry. I d‒didn’t mean to yell.”

Tae rubs his hand in circles on Jimin’s back to help calm him. His voice is low and soothing,
but his words are harsh. “I’m not sure I can keep this up any longer, Jimin. I told Joon we’re
okay, but I don’t think we are.”

Jimin surges forward, pressing his lips to Tae’s hungrily.

Tae startles and pulls away.

Jimin’s eyes prick with tears. “Don’t‒” his voice breaks, “Don’t try and tell me you haven’t
thought about it.”

Tae’s eyes tear up as well. His eyes glance down to Jimin’s lips and he laughs, but it’s the
saddest sound Jimin’s ever heard. “I should go.”

Tears carve paths down Jimin’s cheeks as he silently watches Tae walk out the door.

Jungkook: yoooo so im a little tipsy and ive been reading back through all these messages
you sent me. how are you and that dude? you find him yet?

Yoongi: what kind of person is tipsy at noon

Jungkook: what kind of person responds to a tipsy person at noon

Yoongi: do u have a name?

Jungkook: do u?

Jungkook: why???

Yoongi: cause i spilled my heart out in a few of those texts and the scales are a little
unbalanced right now

Jungkook: fine. my name is jungkook. do you really love that jin guy?

Jungkook: more like ten moments of weakness

Yoongi: shut up. havent you ever been in love?

Jungkook: yeah

Yoongi: ...good. so you know, then.

Jungkook: yeah i do. so. you wanna bitch about our exes together? could be fun.

Yoongi: could be.

When Hoseok walks into the club, all the lights are on.

They’re still setting up. He doesn’t have to get here so early, but he’d always rather show up
earlier than later. The subway isn’t always reliable. And who knows what catastrophe Con Ed
is going to cause next.

As he crosses the silent room, devoid of drunk bodies, he feels eyes on him. He skims the
room until he finds a man sitting at the bar.

The man waves.

Hoseok feels…he can’t put a name to it. It’s like deja vu, but nothing like that at all.

“Hey, I’m Jimin.”

It’s his voice that does it.

Hoseok’s dream comes rushing back to him. He pales, feels a little sick, and then remembers
this stranger’s naked body pressed to his. He has his hand around this guy’s d‒
Jimin stands, rushing to Hoseok’s side to support him. “Woah, hey, you’re okay. I didn’t
mean to scare you. I couldn’t think of a more subtle way to introduce myself. I’m sorry. I
know it’s shocking.”

Hoseok looks into Jimin’s eyes, really looks. “That…was that real?”

Jimin smiles softly, patience and kindness in his eyes. “Depends on how you define real. Did
we make decisions together? Yes. Did our physical bodies touch? No.”

Hoseok shakes. “Wait, so…Jungkook…”

“Was also there.” Jimin nods. “I think he somehow…summoned you. For lack of a better
word.”

Hoseok wants to laugh in this guy’s face. He wants to cry because this can’t be real, but he
can’t even bring himself to pretend he doesn’t believe this.

The truth settles in him. “You told me you work with me. I remember you said that.”

Jimin nods, wide smile illuminating his face. “Yeah, good. Remember it slowly. I usually talk
more during my first dream share with people, but I didn’t really expect you to show up like
that.”

Hoseok has a lot of emotions running through his brain, but they all seem to cancel out.
“Uh…I’m gonna get ready for work.”

Jimin nods and backs off. He gestures to the bar. “You know where to find me.”

Hoseok walks away without another word.

He looks back over his shoulder as he goes through the door to the back room.

Jimin’s polishing the bar, a picture of innocence and kindness.

Hoseok thinks back to all the fantasy novels he read as a kid and he smiles. He’d started to
give up on love stories.

Maybe this one had an X-rated opening, but…

Jimin runs a hand through his hair.

He’s stunning.

Hoseok pushes through the door, a smile on his lips.

“Yoongi?”

Yoongi opens his eyes.

A young man stands in front of him, someone he’s never seen before. He’s got pastel hair and
gentle eyes. Yoongi feels like he knows him, and the stranger obviously must feel the same.

The purple haired man glances around. “I…went to sleep. Why are you…am I awake?”

Yoongi stares at the man in front of him. “I went to sleep too.”

“Are we both asleep?”

Yoongi doesn’t know how to process that. “What’s your name?”

The man laughs. “What? Is this a test or something? Uh, it’s Jimin. Hyung, you know that.
That’s not a good test. Aren’t you supposed to try and read or something to know if
something’s a dream?”

Yoongi doesn’t know how he knows it, but, “This is a dream, but it’s real.” He thinks about
changing their surroundings and it melts into his imagined location.

Soft grass, water lapping at the shore, a view of a bridge. He grew up here, in Queens,
staring at the bridge to the city. It’s his favorite place…

Jimin stares at the bridge. “Where is this?”

Yoongi smiles. “Queens, New York. Where are you?”

Jimin shrugs. “I guess I’m here with you.”

Yoongi shakes his head. “No, when you’re awake. Where do you live?”

Jimin looks at Yoongi. “The same place you do.”

Yoongi doesn’t follow. “So you live in Queens, too?”

Jimin turns his whole body toward him, “No, hyung, we live in Korea together. Is the dream
hitting you weird?”

“Together?” Yoongi studies Jimin’s face. “I’ve never seen you before.”

Jimin hums, eyes going a little disinterested. “So you’re just a dream. I thought…I thought
somehow you were with me.”

Yoongi doesn’t like being misunderstood, he tries to press the issue, “No, this is a dream and
I’m a real person just like you are. I don’t know why you think I know you, ‘cause I don’t. But
that doesn’t mean I’m not real.”

Jimin stares at the bridge, then back at Yoongi…then back at the bridge. “You really live
here? In New York?” Yoongi nods. Jimin laughs, a little disbelief in his tone, “Is this an
alternate timeline? You’ve always loved New York, always got so excited when we visited. So
in this timeline, you moved here from Korea?”
Yoongi shakes his head. “No, I was born here. I’m a New Yorker.”

Jimin raises his eyebrows, amusement dances across his features. “You’re American?”
Yoongi nods. Jimin laughs. “Ah, that’s cute. It must be easier to go after a career for you. Are
you a famous rapper yet?”

Yoongi snorts. “Rapping? I haven’t rapped since college. I teach music theory at a high
school. Piano lessons on the side. It’s enough to get by and it’s rewarding. What about you?”

Jimin laughs, looking at Yoongi curiously and then away in wonder. “This is weird. I’m
meeting you. This is what it would’ve been like to meet you if we didn’t debut together.”

Yoongi’s not sure how to react when Jimin says stuff like that. “So there’s…another me in
your world?”

Jimin nods. “One of my best friends.” He frowns. “Maybe…maybe one of my boyfriends.”

He shakes his head. “That’s a story for another day. Uh, I’m an idol. In Korea. You have
kpop here?”

Yoongi nods with a smirk. “Yeah, we have kpop. It’s weird. All these white girls check me out
now. Would’ve been nice in college, but they just had to wait ‘til I stopped caring about
dating I guess.”

“You’re straight?”

Yoongi snorts. “Not even close, but the attention would’ve helped my confidence.”

Jimin laughs loudly. “You’re the same. The same as my Yoongi. It’s weird. You’re so different,
but you’re the same.”

Yoongi hums, looks at Jimin through the corner of his eye.

He has a moment as he realizes where he is from the outside. While he knows this is a dream,
this had always been a sort of fantasy of his. To have a beautiful boy at his side, a light
breeze, looking across the water together at the bridge.

Jimin catches him staring. “What?”

Yoongi shakes his head. “You’re just kind of beautiful. Anyone ever tell you that?” Yoongi
smirks to himself, knowing full well a boy with purple hair must hear that a lot.

Jimin still giggles shyly. “They have, but it means more coming from you.”

Yoongi laughs, “So that other me, you said he’s your boyfriend?”

Jimin’s smile falters. “Maybe. One day. It’s complicated.”

Yoongi feels desperate all of a sudden. “So you know me. You know me and you still care
about me.”
Jimin can sense the shift in tone. “Why do you say that? What’s wrong?” Stepping closer,
Jimin rests a hand on Yoongi’s arm.

Yoongi resists the urge to cry. His voice goes soft. “No one’s touched me that gently that in
years.”

Jimin knows better than to let go. He speaks comfortingly as he pulls Yoongi against his
chest. “I’ve got you, Yoongi.”

Yoongi hesitates, shocked and overwhelmed, before he relaxes and wraps his arms around
Jimin tightly. “Don’t leave. Please don’t leave. I never want to wake‒”

Yoongi can feel tears running down his face as he wakes up.

He stares at the ceiling. “Jimin.”

He opens his phone and googles the name. It seems to be a pretty popular one so he sighs and
gives up. It was worth a shot.

The feeling of Tae’s fingers threaded through his has been Namjoon’s favorite feeling since
the first time he’s felt it.

He tries not to remember a smaller hand, a smoother smile.

He loves how his hand fits in Tae’s

“Where are you taking me?” Tae’s impatient, but excitement still radiates out of him.

Namjoon shakes his head with a dorky grin, “You’d be mad if I told you so why bother
asking?”

Tae laughs happily, a low sound that warms Namjoon’s heart. “I’m curious. You’ve been
planning more dates than usual lately.”

Namjoon attempts to subtly check his phone that he’s using for directions. “We’ll be there
soon.”

Tae glances at his watch. It’s 4:58. “Didn’t you say it was at 5?”

Namjoon looks at Tae guiltily.

Tae laughs and reaches for the phone. “Let me help.”

Namjoon lets him have it. “It was going to be perfect. You were gonna love it.”

“We should’ve just taken the subway.” Namjoon always insists on walking. Tae doesn’t
dislike it, but it’s a little inconvenient when they need to actually be somewhere on time.

Tae stops and pulls Namjoon to a stop beside him. “It’s by the Walgreens. We passed that two
minutes ago.”

Namjoon looks at his phone and then up at the street. He turns his phone upside down. “Oh
my god, we totally passed it.”
Tae tugs him backwards as they change direction.

Namjoon scoots in closer to wrap his arm around Tae’s waist. “Remember when you were
bad with directions and liked to wander?”

Tae looks over at Namjoon fondly. “I still like that. But this is important to you. I just want us
to be there on time.”

Namjoon stops them again to kiss Tae. No tongue, just a firm and soothing pressure. A haptic
declaration.

They keep walking and Namjoon makes a noise of excitement as he tugs them to wait at the
crosswalk. His eyes are focused on the store front.

Tae laughs loudly, “Really? A wine and painting class?”

Namjoon says nothing, just looks into Tae’s eyes.

Tae sighs happily, “God, I love you.”

They spend all night sipping wine and splashing paint on each other’s paintings as they
slowly give up on the teacher’s guided instruction.

They walk home, a little tipsy, with two canvases covered in memories and promises.

Tae doesn’t tell Namjoon about his falling out with Jimin. He’s not ready for that to feel real.

Everything’s too nice right now to remember that he carved Jimin out of his heart and the
wound is still bleeding.

-x-

Jimin wakes up with difficulty. It’s been a few days since he’s simply…slept. Dream walking
makes it a little easier to transition back to real life, but actual sleep, actual dreams, they’re
harder to shake.

He’d meant to dream walk to Jungkook again, but he passed out before he could control a
connection.

He stares at the ceiling. He thinks back to the first time he realized his dreams were real.

All through high school, he had the most gigantic crush on Namjoon Kim. It wasn’t odd to
dream about him, but one day the dreams changed. They stopped being fuzzy and hard to
track and Namjoon stopped being…quite as soft and sweet as imagined.

They felt so real…

…and then Namjoon started staring at him in the hallway.

Jimin started to panic. It was crazy. Surely Namjoon didn’t know…

So one night, Jimin told Namjoon, If this is real, tap your nose three times next time you see
me.

And their eyes met across the hall as Namjoon was talking to a friend. Namjoon had
narrowed his eyes and slowly tapped his nose three time.

Jimin fainted.

It’d been incredibly embarrassing and a little traumatizing as he struggled to realize all that
he had confessed to Namjoon in what he thought was the safety of a dream, only to have that
privacy torn away from him.

He was lucky it was Namjoon.

Jimin had been too embarrassed to pursue anything with Namjoon at the time. He repressed it
all, shoved all his feelings for Namjoon to a dark corner in his mind. He set his eyes on
someone new.

He remembers falling asleep craving intimacy, reaching out with his heart to someone who
wanted something similar.

The person whose dream he stepped into wanted something far more carnal than he did, but
Jimin was curious and it was just a dream after all.

Jimin surrendered his body to the man, similar in age to him, maybe a little older. He was hot.
Jimin remembers that much. He expected for things to feel faint or imagined. After all, he’d
never felt like that before so how could his mind trigger a feeling it had never felt?

But that’s not what happened.

Too real.

At first it scared him, and he’d been about to ask the man to stop when pleasure coursed
through him and it all made sense.

He gave away his virginity in a dream and relaxed into a life in which he only feels alive
when he’s asleep.

Jimin thinks about Tae.

He shouldn’t, but he does.

It should hurt more. Tae leaving him like this, it should hurt more. But really, Jimin knew this
was coming. He’d practically forced Tae’s hand. But he misses him, so goddamn badly.

Most people, they have to fix relationships and have talks, but Jimin? No, Jimin can just find
the right dream. He’s been getting a sense of the different… color of this alternate universe
and he’s willing to bet there’s an alternate Tae over there.

He closes his eyes and sends his mind out to navigate the web of dreams at his disposal. It
used to freak him out, when he started to gain control over it, just how many people were
asleep.

He focuses on the feeling of Tae, simply Tae.

The dreams narrows down.

He lets himself be tugged toward that familiar odd feeling and then‒

“Jimin?”

Jimin smiles as Tae stands in front of him. “Hey. You know me.”

Tae tilts his head. “Of course I do.”

Jimin smirks. “What’s our relationship over there like, hm?”

Tae laughs, confused but fond. “Good. What’s up with you?”

Jimin goes for it. “I’m not your Jimin. I’m American. Surely the others have told you about
me by now.” Tae’s silence answers for him. Jimin laughs. “Cute. Namjoon’s embarrassed.”

And even as he says his name, Jimin’s heart longs for him. He wants his Namjoon, but he can
settle. He winks. “I’ll see you again soon, yeah?”

He dashes off, finding Namjoon quickly.

“It’s you. You’re not the right Jimin.”

Jimin walks to him and kisses his nose casually. “You’re smart, huh?”
Namjoon stares at Jimin’s face, confused. “I remember you now, but when I wake up it’s all
blurry. You said you’re some alternate version of my Jimin.”

Jimin nods sweetly. “And you’re into your baby being a bad boy. I’m here to deliver on that
fantasy if you want more of it.”

Namjoon runs a hand through Jimin’s hair tenderly.

Jimin feels raw, but he doesn’t let it show.

Namjoon kisses his head. “No, I want my Jimin.”

Jimin immediately turns his hair pink. “I can be your Jimin.”

Namjoon steps away. “Why would I want you to be him when I can have the real thing?”

Jimin steps forward, desperate. His composure totally shatters. “No, I can be him. I promise.
I’ll be soft and sweet. Please, Namjoon. Don’t go, please don’t go. Please love m‒”

Jimin’s covered in a cold sweat when he wakes up.

It’s been a long time since someone actually ended a dream on him like that.

Instead of dealing with his torrential emotions, Jimin feels a tug in the corner of his mind that
almost feels like a call. He smiles as he recognizes the feeling.

It’s Jungkook.

How interesting.

He lets himself fall back asleep.

“You called me. How the fuck did you manage that?”

Jungkook smiles joyfully as Jimin appears in front of him. “Dunno. Just thought about it.”

Jimin looks Jungkook up and down. “So you’re like me, then. You can start a call. Odd. I’ve
never met someone like me before.”

Jungkook lets Jimin circle him curiously. “How’d you learn to do it? Did someone teach
you?”

Jimin shakes his head. “I just noticed I could do it one day. I don’t know why or how.”

Jungkook has a sort of skip in his step as he walks. “Feels like fate, doesn’t it? Me and you.”

A smirk ghosts across Jimin’s lips, “Fate? I don’t believe in fate.”

Jungkook narrows his eyes. “I’ve always believed in soulmates. I really thought Hobi was
mine. But now there’s you…”
With the wound so fresh, Jimin’s mind flashes with pain as he thinks of Namjoon. He used to
think he and Namjoon…but life doesn’t always work out how you want.

Jungkook stops walking. “What was that? Who was that guy?”

Jimin tense. “What?”

Jungkook looks around. “We were in a school for a second. There was some guy looking at
you.”

It’s been a long time since Jimin’s felt fear in a dream. It washes over him for the second time
in one night. “You saw my memories?” Jimin’s seen other people’s memories, but no one’s
ever seen his.

“Jimin, what the hell?” Namjoon’s voice comes out of nowhere.

Jimin practically snarls at Jungkook. “You called him? You son of a bitch!”

Namjoon’s hands are curled into fists at his side. “I told you to leave me alone. I’m with Tae
and honestly, I’m not sorry about it anymore.”

Jimin turns to Namjoon, pointing at Jungkook. “It wasn’t me. Calm the fuck down. My…” He
glares at Jungkook, “apprentice thought it’d be funny to play with my memories. So if you’re
gonna yell, yell at him.”

Namjoon closes his eyes and takes a breath. His voice is calm when he speaks again. “We
could’ve left things off better, but I don’t know why you and Tae are trying so hard to stay
friends. It’s going to hurt both of you.”

Jimin laughs at that, totally forgetting about Jungkook as he focuses on Namjoon. “Wow. He
didn’t tell you? Oh, Taehyung abandoned me. We’re done. He chose you. He was my best
friend since kindergarten, but he chose you. So you can just run off together and be fucking
happy while everyone I’ve ever loved treats me like my breaths are a waste of fucking
oxygen.”

Jungkook’s hand closes over Jimin’s wrist.

Jimin startles as wrenches his hand away.

Jungkook puts his hand on Jimin’s neck and grabs his wrist in his other hand again. “Hey,
shhh. It’s all right. I’ll send him away.” And like that, Namjoon is gone. Jungkook’s thumb
brushes over Jimin’s cheek and he finally realizes he’s crying.

Jungkook’s eyes are soft, mischief gone.

He sighs. “When I said I’d figure you out, I didn’t think you’d make it this easy for me.”

Jimin’s breathing is erratic, and he has no idea what to do. Someone is coddling him, taking
care of him. He’s not used to this. Not at all.
He surges forward, pressing his lips to Jungkook’s hungrily.

Jungkook pulls away, but doesn’t move his hands. “Maybe later.”

Jimin searches Jungkook’s eyes, heavily confused.

Jungkook snorts. “Contrary to popular belief, sex doesn’t actually solve everything. I can just
be with you right now, Jimin. I think you just need company.”

Jimin’s knees give out and Jungkook finds that they’re sitting in a small apartment on a pile
of pillows and blankets. Warm colors surround them and soft music plays through a speaker.

There’s something mature about the apartment, but a lot of the details are blurry.

Jungkook pulls Jimin against him, arms wrapping around his waist. “Why do I feel like this
isn’t your apartment?”

Jimin’s words won’t weave together, so his mind supplies the information.

Like ghosts, Namjoon walks through the apartment with a small child. He looks over his
shoulder and Jimin is leaning against the wall, watching the two of them.

There’s love in Namjoon’s eyes as he looks at Jimin. Wedding bands shine on their fourth
fingers. Their mouths are moving but no words come out, sly grins on their faces as they seem
to tease each other.

The ghosts vanish as quickly as they’d come.

Jimin chokes on a sob and shakes helplessly in Jungkook’s arms.

Jungkook glances around the dream, Jimin’s dream. He sits in an echo of Jimin’s burnt out
hope for happiness, Jimin’s pain hanging in the air like mist.

Tears fall from his eyes. “I’ll take care of you now, okay? And you can take care of me. We’re
special. We’re meant to be together. I can feel it.”

And for the first time in nearly a decade, Jimin believes someone’s promises.

making his own money at his parents’ company, all his life. How is he supposed to get
through life without that?

But he quit. So he doesn’t have a choice.

All he can think about is how badly he wants to tell Yoongi he finally did it. But maybe he
can take a nap first. The stress is so exhausting…

Jin opens his eyes in the dream.

He’s always had a lot of control over what he wants to dream about. People envied him in
grade school when he talked about it.

But for now, he thinks of Yoongi.

“Hey.”

Jin tilts his head in confusion. “You look scruffy again.”

Yoongi makes a face. “I can’t tell if that’s an insult or not.”

Jin shakes his head. “Never mind. Uh. I quit. I just…wanted to see what it’d be like to tell
you that.”

Yoongi’s eyes light up. “You quit? You got your soul back from that stupid, emotion-crushing
job that you hate? Do you finally remember how much you fucking hated it?” He doesn’t
mean to say the next part but it comes spilling out of his mouth. “Are you finally my Jin
again?”
Jin doesn’t know what to say. “Can we pretend we’re back where we were, just for a
minute?”

Yoongi’s shoulders fall, relaxing as Jin steps closer to him. He nods without speaking.

Jin wraps his arms around Yoongi, kissing his temple intimately.

Their bodies slot together naturally from how many times they’ve done this.

Jin’s voice drops to a whisper. “I missed you.”

“Missed you more.”

They stand together like that, calmly. Jin listens to Yoongi’s breath, his heartbeat. It’s realer
than he could’ve imagined. Silently, Jin realizes this is more than a dream, but he thinks
Yoongi doesn’t know. He keeps it secret. He doesn’t want to lose this. Not yet.

Jin wakes up slowly and the fear immediately returns to his heart as the memories of
Yoongi’s warmth fade.

Jin’s phone buzzes.

Yoongi: weird question but…..did you quit your job?

Taehyung can’t sleep.

Namjoon’s wrapped around him snoring lightly and Tae is so comfortable, but he still doesn’t
fall asleep.

He thinks about the possibility of Jimin in his dreams or Namjoon’s. He knows he can pull
away but he’s not sure if he could do that to Jimin. He knows Jimin gets shaken up when
someone pulls away from a dream.

So Tae doesn’t sleep.

He knows Namjoon would never let Jimin too close, not anymore.

Tae sighs and remembers when Jimin and Namjoon started dating. He remembers how
jealous he’d been and how he couldn’t figure out who he was jealous of. He wanted both of
them so badly. He’s not sure how they ended up here. He knows Namjoon got overwhelmed
by how clingy Jimin had been. He knows Jimin had all these ideas for the future that
Namjoon wasn’t ready for. But Tae thinks a lot about how Jimin would’ve mellowed out if
Tae had simply…joined them.

Unfortunately, that’s not what happened. Namjoon pulled away and Tae, who had grown to
be his friend while he was dating Jimin, tried to comfort him. Comfort turned to hugs turned
to soft touched turned to kisses turned to confessions.
He never meant to hurt Jimin. He was going to say no when Namjoon asked him out, but it
was Jimin that said Tae deserved happiness.

And now Jimin’s gone and Tae’s heart is drowning in guilt. He loves Namjoon. He really
truly does, but he’s not sure he can love Namjoon without Jimin.

-x-

Hoseok doesn’t reach out to Jimin.

He decides if anything is going to happen, they can take the first steps at the club. He wants
to flirt across the room and make eye contact while he’s dancing.

Jimin doesn’t seem to be in a rush so Hoseok lets it be and keeps this up. He doesn’t see
Jimin in his dreams again, so maybe Jimin has the same idea as him.

-x-

A week of barely any sleep finally allows Tae to drift off to thoughts of Jimin.

Jimin’s sitting with Jungkook quietly, shyly playing with his fingers when he feels it: a sharp
tug at the corner of his mind.

He whips around. “Tae?” He looks at Jungkook. “You don’t feel that, do you?”

Jungkook looks at him oddly. “Feel what?”

Jimin stands up, spinning around. “I think…I think Tae is calling me.” He hesitantly lets Tae
into the dream.

Tae looks weak, tears pour from his eyes freely. “Jimin.”

Jimin runs to him, no questions asked. Fuck their history, fuck their relationships. When Tae
needs Jimin, Jimin runs to him.

His arms wrap around Tae tightly.

Tae chokes on his sobs. “I can’t do this. I can’t keep doing this to us. It’s all wrong.”

Jimin rubs his back softly. “Hey, it’s okay, Taetae. Just breathe. Tell me what happened.”

Jungkook sits on the floor, watching them curiously. Last he heard, Jimin was mad at Tae, but
he’s not surprised to see that Jimin once again was hiding really pure and beautiful emotions
behind a veil of anger.

Tae sits down and Jimin sits in front of him. Tae smiles but it doesn’t reach his eyes. “I loved
both of you.”

Jimin feels like there’s more to that than he thinks. “I know, Tae.”
Tae shakes his head. “No, I loved both of you. When you were together, I wanted both of you.
I’m sorry I never said anything. I was scared.”

Jimin tenses, expression going blank. “Have you talked to Namjoon about that?”

Tae rolls his eyes. “Yeah, right. He told me you called him to a dream again. He doesn’t want
to talk about you.”

The words are a knife in Jimin’s heart.

Tae backtracks. “Sorry, I said that harshly. It’s just that he thinks he’s protecting me
somehow, I guess. Maybe things would change if I told him I want you.”

Jimin scoots back. “Stop. Stop saying that.”

Tae reaches his hand out and Jimin flinches away. “I thought you wanted this. I thought
you’d be happy.”

Jimin stands up and walks away. “I don’t trust that this is real, Tae.”

Tae pushes his emotions at Jimin, knowing they’re tangible in the dream. “Tell me it’s not
real, Jimin.”

Jimin gasps as it hits him in full force. Tae’s swirling emotions and that pure, pure love that
Jimin’s craved since before he even knew what the word love really meant.

A tear falls from Jimin’s eyes. “You have to talk to Namjoon.”

Tae stands up with a yell. “How can you say that?! You nearly slept with Namjoon and now
you’re telling me I need to talk to him before I can tell you how I feel?”

Jimin’s hands curl into fists at his side. “Yes! Because I actually do really fucking want this,
Tae, and I’m not about to do this wrong! If we kiss now, if I…if I return those feelings,
Namjoon will never forgive either of us. You said it yourself, he hates me.”

Tae sighs. “I didn’t say he hates you.”

Jimin rolls his eyes. “But he does. He hates me for loving you. He hates me for loving him.”

Jimin pushes him. “Go. Talk to him.”

And Jimin pushing Tae leaves him within reach. Tae grabs Jimin’s neck and pulls him in,
mouths clashing harshly.

Jimin is rigid, but Tae’s hands find a home on Jimin’s back and hip.

Jimin can’t resist. He wishes he could, but he can’t. He melts into the kiss.

A third hand finds Jimin’s hip. He pulls away from Tae.

Jungkook laughs, “Aren’t you going to introduce me? I thought you and I were together
now.”

There’s a coldness in Jungkook’s eyes that makes Jimin laugh. “Ah, sorry, baby. I’ve told you
about Tae.”

Tae blinks. “There’s someone else here?”

Jimin nods. “Yeah, sorry, you’re so distracting. This is Jungkook.”

Tae stares at him, utterly confused. He looks at Jimin. “You just let him hear all of that? Who
is he to you?”

Jimin almost says my replacement for you but he stops himself. “Honestly, I’m not sure yet.
But we’re trying things out.”

Tae narrows his eyes at Jimin. “Is he something to consider when I bring this up to
Namjoon?”

Jimin wants to say no.

He knows Jungkook will make his even more complicated and will ruin his chances with
Namjoon, but he thinks about the week he spent with Jungkook. He thinks about the devotion
and the kindness. “Yes. Yeah, he is.”

Jungkook’s eyes soften until they’re practically bursting with sunshine. He smiles goofily.
“Really? I am?”

Jimin laughs lightly and kisses Jungkook. “Yeah, baby.”

Jungkook pushes in for deeper kisses and Tae lets go of Jimin to let Jungkook have him.

Tae watches them, still confused but happy that Jimin’s found happiness. His heart sinks. “Is
this worth it? Is it worth it for me to talk to Namjoon about this if you’re happy? All I want is
for you to be happy, Jimin.”

Jimin pulls away and looks into Jungkook’s eyes, petting through his hair fondly. “I’m happy
with Jungkook but I can’t be happy without you, Tae.” He turns to look at Tae without letting
go of Jungkook.

Tae’s heart thumps. “That’s exactly how I feel being with Joon.”

Jimin nods. “Then we’ll all have to talk about it.”

Tae sighs. “I guess we will.”

Seeing as things are going really well for Jimin, he feels the desire to do something stupid to
mess it all up.

He calls Hoseok. “Hello?”

Jimin smiles to himself as he lies in bed. “Hey. It’s Jimin.” He doesn’t include any sleazy
pickup lines.

Hoseok makes a noise of excitement. “Oh! Hi! I was wondering when I’d next talk to you.”

“Well, if you believe me about the dream walking, maybe we can meet up, say, now?” Jimin
chews on his lips nervously.

Hoseok laughs, giddy. Jimin’s heart leaps at it. “Oh. A date in a dream? That’s…fancy.”

Jimin hums, pleased. “We can go anywhere you want. You just have to fall asleep.”

“What a coincidence.” Hoseok breathes it flirtily. “That’s exactly what I was planning to
do.”

Jimin smiles viciously. “Perfect. I’ll see you soon.” He hangs up without waiting for a
response.

He closes his eyes and waits. He has a pretty good feel for Hoseok and anyone else he’s
walked with before. It’s a few minutes when he feels a connection open to Hoseok. He leaps
into the dream.

“You look beautiful.” Jimin notices Hoseok’s choice in appearance. His hair is tidy and his
outfit and neat, yet a little eclectic. It suits him. It’s cute.

Hoseok smiles widely. He looks smitten. It’s…pure. Jimin’s not used to such purity. Hoseok
brushes a hand through Jimin’s hair. “You look nice too.”

Jimin barks a laugh at that. He’s wearing skin tight leather pants with a nearly see-through
white, billowy top. “I don’t look nice. I look like sex.” He says it as a fact because he knows
it’s true.

Hoseok giggles. “Okay, you look hot.”

Jimin smiles. “Do you want me?”

Hoseok licks his lips. “Yeah, of course.”

Jimin steps in close to him and pushes up on the balls of his feet to press his lips against
Hoseok’s. It’s a chaste kiss. He whispers against his lips. “I can’t stop thinking about the
other night, with Kook. I know it wasn’t ideal, but, your body against mine. Your hand on me.
We fit so well.”

Hoseok hums, pressing his body to Jimin’s. “We did. I felt the same. We don’t need to talk
about Kook right now, though. Just us.”

“Us.” Jimin smiles against Hoseok’s lips. “I like the sound of that.”

-x-

Jungkook is surprised when he follows a connection to Jimin and it leads to Hoseok’s dream.
He’s more surprised when neither notice his arrival.

He watches them strip out of their clothes and whisper promises to each other.

Jungkook really shouldn’t be surprised anymore.

He shouldn’t be hurt when people betray him anymore.

This is his normal, but it still feels like a knife in his chest.

-x-

Jimin falls in love with Hoseok as they share their bodies. Hoseok doesn’t see him as dark or
scary or emotionally messed up. Hoseok looks at him with…hope, and that purity. Jimin can’t
put a name to it beyond that. There’s something pure in the way Hoseok looks at him. “So
many dancers at the club, but you caught my eye. Not just your body, the way you move.
Gorgeous.”

Hoseok giggles into Jimin’s neck as he traces Jimin’s collarbone with his lips. “I thought I
saw a cute bartender from time to time, but it’s hard to see clearly from up there.”

Jimin nips at Hoseok’s ear. “Well, now you’re down here with me. ‘m I still cute?”

Hoseok kisses his nose. “Very cute.”

Jimin pouts. “Didn’t wanna be cute. I’m trying to be sexy.”

Hoseok squishes Jimin’s cheeks. “You’re too cute to be sexy.”

Jimin falls back on the bed.

He can’t remember when he brought them to a bed or when their closes disappeared, but
Hoseok seems on board.
Jimin looks up at Hoseok who kneels in front of him. “It’s been a while since I’ve been on my
back.”

Hoseok raises an eyebrow. “Really?”

Jimin hums. “You keep saying I’m cute. Told you, you got it wrong.” It’s more honest than
Jimin wants to be with him, but Hoseok thinks he’s teasing.

Hoseok seems to catch on to the lack of normal physics and doesn’t waste time with any prep.
Jimin’s legs are open for him, so Hoseok presses in.

Jimin throws his head back with a whine. Yeah, it’s been a very long time. Maybe he’s ridden
someone, but this is different, feels different.

Hoseok cages him in with a smile, kisses his neck softly. “Let me take care of you, dream
boy.”

Jimin goes limp as Hoseok’s words charm him.

Hoseok laughs as he moves his hips slowly.

Slow.

It’s been a while since he’s felt anything slow either.

Jungkook knows he shouldn’t watch, but how can he not? The love of his life and the man of
his dreams…it’s not something he can easily turn away from.

He tries something. He focuses on Jimin and whispers, “I’m here.”

He watches as Jimin tenses, eyes snapping open.

It takes a moment for Jimin to relax and not alert Hoseok before Jimin whispers back without
moving his lips, “What the fuck? How? Where? When?”

Jungkook laughs, “Does it matter? Can I watch?”

Jimin moans loudly as Hoseok rocks into him. Jungkook thinks he hears a laugh buried in the
moan, “Can I even stop you?”

Jungkook smirks. “Not really, no.”

Jimin changes. He moves from being soft and passive to making a little more of a show. He
runs his hands over Hoseok’s skin, bucks up, whines more. He calls out with Hoseok’s name,
but his mind whispers to Jungkook. “Who would you rather be right now? Me or him?”

Right as Jungkook tries to whisper, “You.” His body jolts, nerves lighting up like they’re on
fire. He looks up and Hoseok’s over him, in him, kissing him.
“That answers that question.” Jimin’s voice hovers in Jungkook’s mind.

Jungkook yelps as Hoseok’s suddenly fucking him. No, not him, Jimin.

Jungkook looks down at the hands he’s controlling that run over Hoseok’s skins and realizes
they’re Jimin’s.

Jimin giggles. “Mmmmm. This is fun. Never did this before. All you, Jungkook. Make me
enjoy this.”

Jungkook’s overwhelmed. This is Hoseok mumbling softly against his skin, Hoseok’s voice,
his skin, his body. “Jimin.”

Jungkook runs a hand down his own chest. Jimin giggles. “Now’s not the time to touch me.”

Jungkook whispers back, “Shouldn’t we tell him? Tell him it’s me.”

Jimin seems to frown. Jungkook’s not sure how he sense that, but he can. “That’s true.” And
as fast as it started, Jungkook’s watching from afar again. Jimin moans Hoseok’s name at the
same time he whispers to Jungkook, “You’re kinky. I like that.”

Jungkook wonders how Jimin can balance so many tasks, but whispers back, “I thought you
were going to work it out with Tae and Joon?”

Jimin laughs out loud, “God, Hoseok! Yes!”

Jungkook snorts. “Nice cover.”

Jimin hums through the whisper, “If Tae isn’t aware that I’m an idiot by now, then he wants
me for the wrong reasons.”

“You’re sabotaging. You’re scared Tae will reject you so if you mess up on purpose, it’s less
painful.”

Jimin flips himself and Hoseok and quickens the pace as he rides him.

Hoseok looks up in surprise as Jimin chases his pleasure, smiling fondly.

Jungkook watches. “God, Hoseok’s so trusting. We don’t deserve him.”

Jimin’s head falls back. “That’s the point. That’s why I want him. Because I don’t deserve
him, but I can pretend for a second that I do.”

Jungkook looks away. “I never pretended to deserve him, but now, after everything, I don’t
think that I do.”

Hoseok moans loudly and Jimin slows as Hoseok climaxes. He wraps a fist around himself as
he lifts up and off Hoseok, bending down to kiss him. “No one deserves anyone, Jungkook.
We’re all designed to hurt each other and forgive each other for no reason other than some
stupid thing we call love. It’s just a word invented to prevent us from being lonely after our
failures. The sooner you learn that, the happier you’ll be.”

Jungkook watches as Jimin climaxes as well, Hoseok’s name on his lips, not faltering for a
moment. “And you’re happy? That’s how you live and it makes you happy?”

Jimin smiles down at Hoseok as they both catch their breaths.

Hoseok runs his fingers through Jimin’s hair gently. “That was fun.”

Jimin blushes softly. “It was.”

Jungkook waits for Jimin to respond, but he doesn’t.

Jimin falls off of Hoseok to lie beside him. “Hold me?”

Hoseok smiles as he pulls Jimin’s back against his chest, no clean up necessary.

The dream ends and Jungkook is flung from it, floating between dreams.

He rolls his eyes. Jimin’s so dramatic.

-x-

Jimin wakes up with a laugh.

He stares at the ceiling before calling Jungkook. Jungkook answers, but Jimin interrupts.
“You’re a freak.”

Jungkook laughs. “Uh, hi.”

Jimin giggles. “I slept with your ex. You’re supposed to be mad, not hard.”

Jungkook snorts. “I’m not like Tae. I’m not gonna be mad at you for what I’m sure you think
of as cheating.”

Jimin hums curiously. “You don’t think of it as cheating?”

Jungkook spits back, “No. You so clearly did it for attention. It’s like you wanted me to catch
you. I’m not a child. You’re trying to manipulate me away from you so you’ll have a better
shot with Tae and Joon, but I won’t leave you that easily.”

Jimin says nothing.

Jungkook laughs. “Go to sleep.”

“No.” Jimin scares himself with that. He never hesitates to run into a dream, but Jungkook
wants to sleep to talk about this. “No, you’re wrong.”

“I’m not. You care about me too much to actually end things with me, so you feel like if you
hurt me, then it’s my fault if I choose to leave. But I’m not leaving. Go to sleep, Jimin.”
“No.” Jimin feels the tug in the corner of his mind and he’s tempted to sleep, but resists.
Jungkook doesn’t give up. With a sigh, Jimin gives in. Jungkook may be learning new tricks,
but Jimin’s been doing this for years.

He launches them into a maze.

“You’re so funny, Jimin!” Jungkook’s voice calls out from across the maze.

Jimin glances around. “Not trying to be funny. You won’t leave me alone.”

Jimin waits to hear footsteps. “If you think I’m actually gonna try to solve this, you’re wrong.
I don’t trust that you actually made a path that leads to wherever you are.”

Jimin looks around his enclosed room. Jungkook is 100% right. It’s freaky. It’s terrifying that
Jungkook can see through all his games. It’s…it’s tempting.

The maze falls away.

Jungkook turns to Jimin across the open space.

Jimin sits on a stool, one foot propped up. “What makes you think you know me so well?”

Jungkook’s memories flash across the darkness that surrounds them. “Because I’m the same
and it doesn’t work. You haven’t lost Tae and Namjoon, not completely, so you haven’t given it
up yet. I lost Hoseok. I go to therapy. I know what it’s like to lose someone to the stupid mind
games and they’re not worth it.”

Jimin grits his teeth. “Tae and Namjoon are worth it.”

Jungkook sighs. “The mind games, Jimin. The mind games aren’t worth it. You’re torturing
yourself because you hate yourself.”

Jimin laughs loudly. “I’m the most confident person I know.”

Jungkook guffaws. “Yeah, maybe sexually. That’s kind of a big symptom of hating yourself in
some cases. You think you’re only worth it for your body. You’re like...sex first, ask questions
later. Don’t get me wrong, the sex is nice, but I don’t want you just for sex. I like you. You’re
fucking crazy and I’ve never been more excited about someone before.”

Jimin calls Tae.

Tae enters the dream hesitantly. “What’s wrong?”

“Can I call Joon?” Jimin stares at Jungkook as he says it.

Jungkook shakes his head, turning away from Jimin and pacing.

Tae looks between Jungkook and Jimin. “What’s this about? Joon wouldn’t want that. We
need to talk face to face. This doesn’t count.”
“Can I call him?”

Tae sighs. “Whatever, Jimin. Even if I say no, you’ll do it anyway.”

Namjoon immediately embraces Tae. “What the fuck, Jimin?”

“You hate me, right?” Jimin turns to Namjoon.

Namjoon laughs darkly. “Honestly, yeah. I don’t know how I ever kissed you when you spend
your life trying to destroy everything around you. I’m getting Tae away from you.”

“But Tae loves me.” Jimin tilts his head. “If you take Tae away from me, you’ll destroy him
yourself.”

Namjoon grits his teeth. “Even if it hurts him at first, he’s better off without you.”

Tae closes his eyes. “I can make these decisions myself. You’re both assholes.”

Namjoon kisses Tae’s head softly, lowering his voice. “You’re right, baby. He just sets me
off.”

“All I ever did was love you too much.” Jimin’s eyes tear up as he glares at Namjoon. “You
already stole Tae from me. He chose you over me. Did he tell you that? He was gonna walk
away from me, but he couldn’t. He needs me as much as he needs you.”

Jimin can see that Namjoon wants to yell back, but can’t. He knows. He’d be an idiot not to
know that. “I just want Tae to be happy.”

Jimin laughs. “You think I don’t want that, too?!”

Tae shoves Namjoon away from him with a grunt, “Stop talking about me like I’m not here!
What the fuck is wrong with both of you? This is a shit way to prove you love me.”

“Everyone calls me crazy, but you supposed sane people are the craziest ones after all.”

The three of them turn as Jungkook speaks up. He waves at them casually.

“Who the fuck is that?” Namjoon’s thrown for a loop.

Jungkook bows dramatically. “Hello, I’m Jimin’s emotionally stable boyfriend.”

Jimin laughs, but tries to suppress it so he doesn’t lose his steely resolve.

Namjoon’s at a loss. “You have a boyfriend and you still want Tae?”

Jimin holds his hands up. “Tae came to me.”

Namjoon looks at Tae, “You did?”

Tae drops his head in his hand. “Jimin, why are you like this?”
Jungkook answers for him, “He’s scared. Or, more accurately, he’s petrified. He can’t
imagine his life without you but he doesn’t think he’s good enough to keep you around so he
thinks if he’s mean, you’ll reject him for being mean and he can lie to himself that you
rejected him for an inaccurate reason so he can sleep at night.”

Namjoon points at Jungkook. “That. That is the most honest thing I’ve heard about you in
years, Jimin. Keep him.”

Fire bursts around them. Jimin’s shaking. “Th‒That’s not true. None of that is true.”

Tae runs through the flames. “Jimin, it is. It’s okay for that to be true.” The flames reach for
Tae, but he dodges them as he makes it to Jimin, grabbing his face in his hands. “What are
you so scared of? Why are you pushing us away?”

Tears fall freely down Jimin’s face as the flames continue to chase Namjoon and Jungkook,
but they leave him and Tae alone. “I can’t lose you. I can’t. I’d die. I know that’s stupid. I
shouldn’t feel like that, but I can’t help it and you don’t deserve that. Namjoon’s right.” He
chokes and the flames disappear, replaced by a peacefully flowing stream. “Namjoon’s right,
you’re better off without me. But I can’t lose you.”

Tae kisses Jimin’s forehead. “It’s not up to just you, Jimin. I get a say in this too and I can’t
lose you either. You know that. I know you know that.”

Jimin holds Tae’s wrists in his hands. “You say that, but it’s not true. You’re healthy and
Namjoon loves you. If you lose me, you’ll get through it. When I think about the future,”
False futures flash around them, “When I’m in your future, it’s filled with pain, but Namjoon
can give you a simpler happiness.”

Tae pushes the scenarios away and replaces them with his own. “And I see a future with all
three of us.” He glances to Jungkook who’s playing with the water, distracted. “Four of us,
even.” Jungkook looks up at the idea of a house, the four of them smiling and laughing at
some unheard joke.

“Five.” Jungkook adds with a mumble and adds Hoseok to the future.

Jimin laughs a bit as Jungkook throws rocks through the water.

Tae turns Jimin to look, holding him from behind. “That’s possible.” The images focus in on
Jimin, smiling and laughing loudly. “You can be happy. That’s possible.”

Namjoon watches them from across the stream, Jimin didn’t give him a way over.

Tae mumbles, “I want that. I don’t care if it’s messy and complicated. I prefer it to be messy
and complicated. I want that. I want love from multiple hearts and I want to love multiple
hearts. I don’t know that Hoseok guy, but he has a smile worth falling for.” Jungkook giggles.
Tae looks at him. “And Jungkook is sweet to you. That’s worth falling for too.”

Jungkook looks up with wide eyes. He drops the rock he was holding.

Namjoon speaks softly, “Tae, why didn’t you say anything?”

Tae holds Jimin tightly. “I was scared, too.”

A bridge slowly builds so Namjoon can cross to Tae and Jimin. “Thank you, Jimin.”

Jimin glances over, eyes watery but confused. “I didn’t do that.” He looks at Jungkook.

Jungkook shakes his head.

Tae blinks at the bridge. “I think I did.”

Namjoon crosses the bridge and stands in front of them, scared. “I can’t forgive Jimin for all
of this overnight. You can’t expect me to.”

“No one expects you to. Don’t be a jerk.” Jungkook throws a rock at him, but it turns into a
flower when it hits him.

Namjoon laughs awkwardly.

Tae looks at Namjoon expectantly, “Kiss me.” He doesn’t release Jimin.

Namjoon doesn’t move closer. “I don’t want to confuse anyone, Tae.”

Tae presses a kiss to Jimin’s ear. “Part of you still loves him. You say you’re trying to get me
away from him for my sake, but you think he’d be happier to move on, too. You care about
him. I know you do and it scares you to see how broken he is, but you don’t know how to help
him. I do. We have to love him.”

Jimin whines. “Tae…”

“Please, Namjoon.” Tae keeps his arms around Jimin. “Try to remember that you love him.”

Namjoon steps closer, leaning over Jimin’s shoulder to press his lips to Tae’s.

Jimin turns red as Namjoon’s body heat warms his chest.

Namjoon breaks as he thinks back through the years. He thinks about how much he hurt
Jimin trying to help him and constantly, constantly failing.

He puts his hand on Jimin’s waist, brushing Tae’s arm. He kisses Jimin’s temple. “God,
Jimin. I’m so sorry.”

Flowers bloom across the meadow like a wave settling over the sand.

Jungkook sits in the dirt quietly. “I’d love to actually meet you guys sometime.”

The three of them laugh and Jungkook’s eyes go to Jimin.

He really is laughing. He looks ten years younger as the light returns to his eyes.

Jimin whispers to Jungkook, “You did this. I don’t know how, but you did. I tried to solve
things with them for years. You meet them for a day and…” Jimin wraps his arms around
Namjoon because he’s finally allowed to again. “You’re magic, Jungkook.”

Jungkook smiles shyly. “I’m just patient.”

Tae laughs. “That’s good, because just this is going to take us a while. I don’t know that
we’re ready for you, too.”

Jimin and Jungkook startle. They didn’t realize Jungkook actually said that out loud.

Namjoon lets go and backs up. “I don’t know. If we want anything done involving Jimin, it
seems like Jungkook has to be there.”

Jimin laughs in Tae’s arms and holds his arms open to Jungkook who sprints into them
without hesitation.

Namjoon laughs. “Maybe I’m high in this dream and that’s why this seems to easy, but I
really like him already.”

Jungkook hums into Jimin’s hair. “You hurt Jimin too much for me to like you so soon, but I’ll
think about it.”

Namjoon barks a laugh. “I guess that’s fair.”

Jimin kisses Jungkook’s jaw. “When we wake up, can you come over?”

Jungkook kisses his lips. “Of course.”

Chapter Notes

woaH no number in the chapter title.

i was confusing myself with the overlapping numbers so i imagine you all must've been
just as confused. from now on the stories will sort of go their own ways. there might be
another overlap or two, theres definitely a big overlapped planned ;D but the order you
read them in wont matter!

See the end of the chapter for more notes

Yoongi: i want to meet jimin

Jungkook: lmao r u sure. you dunno what ur getting yourself into

Yoongi: im pretty sure ive met him before so yes i do

Jungkook: !!!! plot twist holy shit really you know him??? damn. okay im gonna make a
group text cause idk how to find people i dont know so that’s gonna be up to him

[Jungkook created a group text]

Jimin: idk who you are third person but yall ever mad that we cant set chat titles over text

Jungkook: ALL THE TIME. i wanted to title this ‘dream walking babes’

Jimin: wait what??? who’s the third person??

Jungkook: idk i accidentally met him over a wrong number text. he said hes met you before

Yoongi: im yoongi. we met at the bridge

Jimin: ??? thats vague. ive met a lot of people in dreams.

Yoongi: the whitestone bridge. i called you pretty. you were nice to me

Jimin: LOL that doesnt sound like me. wait. did i have pink hair?

Yoongi: no it was purple

Jimin: oh. he mustve chagned it. but OMG YOU MET OTHER ME!!!!

Jungkook: ?????

Yoongi: what are you talking about

Jungkook: theres another you?!?!

Jimin: so, jungkook, my padawan, there are other universes that we can dream walk to. or i
can. idk if you can yet. but i guess other me found yoongi! omg what was he like. this is
weird.

Yoongi: so it wasnt you?

Jimin: it was and it wasnt. its complicated

Yoongi: i dont understand any of this so fuck it. can we just meet up again. i hate texting.

Jimin: idk if i can find you. can i call? sometimes a voice helps.

Yoongi: sure

Yoongi’s phone rings almost immediately. “Hey.”

Jimin scoffs. “Really? That’s what you’re going to give me to work with?”

Yoongi pinches the bridge of his nose. “It’s 2pm. I wasn’t planning on going to sleep right
now.”

Jimin hums. “Wow, your voice is really nice. Low, grumbly. Hot. Do you feel a pull?”

Yoongi struggles to keep up. “A what?”

“A pull. I’m trying to call you.”

Yoongi’s already exhausted. “We’re already on the fucking phone.”

He hears what he thinks is Jimin flopping onto a bed. “No, dumbass. Like a mental pull. I’m
trying to call you into a dream.”

Yoongi’s about to say no just on principle, but he feels a small itch in his mind that he
wouldn’t have really noticed if Jimin hadn’t had him looking for it. “Yeah.”

“Okay. Then lie down.”

Yoongi doesn’t want to. This voice is so similar, but also so different to the Jimin he was
looking for. It’s stupid, but he’s so tempted. Maybe this is a front. Maybe‒

They stand in front of the bridge.

It’s Jimin. It’s the same man as before, but now he has black hair, not purple.

“So.” Jimin’s eyes are flirty and suggestive. “What did you want to talk about?”

Yoongi laughs and steps away from him. “I’m not fucking you, so calm down.”

Jimin pouts. “Then why go looking for me?”

Yoongi blinks. “‘Cause I fucking shared a dream with a stranger and I was looking for
answers as to why that happened? What’s wrong with you that you think the only reason is
sex?”

“Hey, he’s fucked up. Don’t make fun of him.” Jungkook steps into the dream out of nowhere.

Jimin hesitates. Hearing Jungkook defend him, but also out him is terrifying and exciting all
at once.

Yoongi laughs and Jimin can feel the disappointment in it. “This isn’t what I’d hoped it would
be at all.”

Jimin stares at this stranger, mixed emotions hanging in the air and yet…

There’s something…

There’s something about him. Jimin’s never seen him before, never fucked him, never crossed
paths with him, but he’s so fucking familiar.

He remembers what that other Namjoon had said. Seven. It felt so important. Seven.

Jimin, Tae, Joon, and Kook been joking about a relationship with five and now here’s this
familiar man with a hole in his heart.

Seven.

The world gets thrown into whiteness and in a moment, they’re together.

Namjoon, Tae, Jungkook, Hoseok, Jin, Yoongi, Jimin.

Seven.

It’s a cacophony of voices as everyone wonders what they’re doing here, but they go silent as
they feel it too.

This spark in the air.

Electricity. Something is binding them together.

Magic.

Fate.

Hoseok and Jungkook lock eyes across the circle they’ve formed.

Yoongi and Jin stare at each other.

Namjoon and Tae both find themselves staring at Jimin.

Jimin laughs, pain and relief flooding him. “I thought I was so fucked up.” A tear slips from
his eye and everyone stays silent, somehow knowing they need to listen to him. “I ran to my
dreams knowing they were important but not knowing why. Everyone who knew thought I was
so fucked up. I kept running from person to person looking for something real. I thought it
was desperation and loneliness, but it was this. I was looking for you. The seven of us, we
were meant to find each other.”

And regardless of how dramatic and ridiculous it sounds, all seven of them feel the truth of it
deep in their hearts.

Jin clears his throat. “Sorry to ruin this dramatic moment, but I think we’ve met before.”

Jimin finally focuses on his face and barks out a laugh, falling onto the floor as the laughter
takes over him. “Oh god, yeah. We’ve met.” He wipes at the tears on his cheeks. “You took
my virginity.”

Jin pales. “Oh. I remember you.”

Jimin focuses on him. “I kept trying to find you. I was so sure you were like me, but when I
couldn’t find you again…”

Jin swallows, avoiding looking at Yoongi at all costs. “I figured out what I could do a long
time ago, but I tried so hard to stop. I…I didn’t know that was your first time.”

Jimin hums. “I mean, it wasn’t my first time dream walking. But sex, yeah. That was my
first.”

Tae eyes Jin, remembering what Jimin had told him about that experience and rewriting it
with Jin’s face. “You were harsh with him.” He says it accusingly.

Jimin jumps up, standing between them, “No, Tae. It wasn’t like that. It was just physical. He
didn’t pamper me and take me out to dinner first, but that doesn’t mean he was harsh. He was
gentle. He went slow.”

Yoongi has some accusations to make too, “When was this?”

Jin sighs.

Jimin doesn’t understand what importance that holds, so he blurts out, “Like six years ago.”

Yoongi laughs with no humor. “When we were together?”

Jimin whirls as everyone looks at Jin.

Jin has his fingers pressed into his temples, staring at the‒the floor. Or whatever you call this
emptiness. “Yoongi, I didn’t understand it. I knew it was real.” He looks at Jimin. “What we
did, I understood it was real when we did it.” He forces himself to look at Yoongi. “But it was
hard to remember reality as it was happening. I’d only dreamed like that a handful of times. I
couldn’t remember both lives.”

Jimin blinks. “It’s just one life.”

Jin shakes his head. “No, I lived as a different person in my dreams. I always thought I was
jumping between two different lives. I didn’t think the dreams existed in the same world as I
did. I never thought of them as dreams.” Yoongi’s about to speak up, but Jin silences him.
“Yoongi was all I had that made me happy here. Or…there. I was so confused the first time I
found him in my dreams. My dreams were a world where my parents had no influence over
me and I lived freely there until I realized I couldn’t live like that. I couldn’t tell which reality
was…real. So I chose this one. Uh, that one. Because no one else talked about dreams like I
remembered them.”

“That’s when you left me.” Yoongi’s voice is flat.

Jin nods, ashamed. “That’s when I left a lot of things.” He clears his throat. “But I stopped
dreaming like that.”

“Dream walking.” Jungkook blurts out. “We call it dream walking.”

Jin nods. “Uh, okay. I stopped dream walking. And then I dreamed of you one night.” He
looks at Yoongi. “And I thought it was just a normal dream so…I’m pretty sure you came to
me, Yoongi. I didn’t go to you.”

Jimin looks around them all carefully. “Call me crazy, but I get the feeling all seven of us can
do it.”

“Wait, Hope?” Yoongi’s eyes are suddenly trained on Hoseok.

Hoseok tenses and looks closer at Yoongi. “Oh. Shit.”

Jungkook covers his face with his hands. “How do we all know each other like this?!”

Yoongi laughs, almost crazed. “Great. This is like a group of everyone who’s ever fucked me
over.”

Jungkook gapes at Hoseok. “What did you do to Yoongi?”

Hoseok ignores Jungkook, “Yoongs, we had an agreement.”

Yoongi barks a laugh. “Whatever.” He eyes Hoseok judgingly. “I hope your dick chafed on
the way home.”

Hoseok is silent.

No one has enough context to even know how to react to that.

Namjoon takes a deep breath. “Is no one going to ask why?”

Jungkook blinks. “Why what?”

“Why us.” Tae finishes for Namjoon, knowing what he’s getting at. “Why can we do this and
why all seven of us are…linked or something?”
Jimin stares at everyone’s confusion. “What do you mean? Can’t you feel it?”

Everyone looks at him, even more confused.

Jimin blushes. He’s not sure when the last time he blushed even was. “No? Just me? I guess
no one else has been dream walking this lon‒”

“Just say it.” Namjoon cuts him off, anxiety jittering through him.

Jimin glances around the circle again. “Uh, I dunno. There’s a lot of drama right now. I’m
not sure I should.”

“Soulmates.” Tae says it. He looks up at Jimin, eyes wide yet unafraid. “That’s what this is,
right?”

Jimin hesitates…and then nods. “I’ve seen alternate universes and the seven of us are
together there as well. It seems, no matter where or who we are, we find each other.”

It’s horribly disorienting to be thrown back into reality. Jin’s not sure who ended the dream or
if it was even on purpose. All he knows is he has to talk to Yoongi.

Jin: hey

Yoongi: wow thats all youve got? really? hey?

Jin: dont be a bitch, yoongi. we havent really talked in awhile. im not just gonna throw a
paragraph of text at you.

Yoongi: do you WANT to throw a paragraph of text at me?

Jin: im tempted to throw something at you at this point. why are you so antagonistic. and
who is hope?

Yoongi: some guy i met after you

Jin: clearly hes not just ‘some guy’

Yoongi: we had an arrangement

Jin: yeah okay. when he said that you got mad. so who is he to you

Yoongi: we fucked from time to time. i fell in love with him. he didnt feel the same.

Jin: oh. so you moved on. after me. thats. i mean thats good. im glad.

Yoongi: no youre not. and moving on didnt do me a lot of good. i just keep repeating the past.

Jin: well if he didnt love you, then the past isnt repeating

Yoongi: you know you could NOT speak in code

Jin: i never stopped loving you.

Yoongi: hard to believe when you ghosted me for three years

Jin: i got a new phone

Yoongi: so i lost YOUR number but YOU didnt lose MINE. youre just making me more upset.

Jin: im sorry. im trying to figure out how to fix this but im so bad at talking. i dont even know
what the truth is, yoongi. i dont know what to tell you. i dont know why i did what i did. i was
freaked out. life was all weird and wrong and i was scared. and when i caved and worked for
my parents i felt like...i felt like the life you and i had planned wasnt possible anymore. i didnt
want to drag you into the black and white world i was in. you deserved the life of color that
you wanted.

Yoongi: i became a fucking music teacher, jin. none of us did anything special with our lives.

Jin: you wanted to be a musician

Yoongi: i AM a musician

Jin: okay but a famous one

Yoongi: yeah. it didnt happen

Jin: why not?

Yoongi: i dont fuckign know why not. ask the companies i went to. ask the people who threw
my cds in the trash. i tried and nothing stuck so i quit. i failed.

Jin: ...maybe its cause you gave them cds

Yoongi: oh fuck off

Jin: i know you laughed.

Yoongi: youre still unemployed right?

Jin: yeah. lets cut right to my deepest insecurity. youre always so great at that.

Yoongi: cool well i guess you can ask one of your other five fucking soulmates to help you
then. since you already cheated on me with one of them.

Jin: youre not being fair

Yoongi: dont think youre allowed to have an opinion on it after doing that. but answer me
this, was it before or after our first time?

Jin: yoongi dont. its the past. i told you. it was confusing.

Yoongi: so it was before us. he was your first.

Jin: why does a dream even count?!

Yoongi: did it feel real? ive been in those dreams, jin. it feels real. everything feels so fucking
real. and the people are real. which makes the decisions real.

Jin: yeah. fine. it felt real and it was before me and you. how was i supposed to explain it to
you? you would’ve thought i was crazy

Yoongi: i always thought you were crazy

Jin: do you remember all those nights youd text me and you said you wished you werent
alone? and then youd wake up and tell me you dreamed about me? and i pretended to be
surprised?

Yoongi: ….yeah.

Jin: i stayed with you at night. so you wouldnt be alone.

Yoongi: you shouldve told me

Jin: i didnt know how!!!!!!

-x-

Tae: can i revive this group chat

Namjoon: i think we need it

Jimin: i dont even know how to feel right now

Tae: it makes sense in a really weird way

Jimin: i dont want you guys to love me because youre obligated to

Tae: ?! how could you say that. i already love you jimin

Namjoon: tae...how long?

Tae: longer than i wnated myself to know

Jimin: it was during me and joon wasnt it

Tae: yeah. i think so. i wanted you both so bad. i wouldve been with either of you but joon
asked first and i didnt think about poly at the time so. i pretended what i felt for you was over,
jimin

Namjoon: jimin...do you remember the first time we actually talked about the dreams?

Jimin: i should think so. it was practically traumatic

Namjoon: ha. um. you remember when we tried to figure out when it started for you?
Jimin: yeah...what are you getting at

Namjoon: i think i started it. you told me you used to have really exaggerated dreams about
me and i was a dumb kid and i pretended i didnt do the same. but i lied. i’d been dreaming
about you too. when you told me it was something you could do, i went with it. i just assumed
it was only you. but i think i did it too.

Jimin: ...joonie theres no way you started it. my dreams of you used to be so fucking dumb
and romantic and cheesy

Namjoon: yeah. still think that was me.

Tae: a;lkdfjadslkfs wait really joon?????? jimin told me about those dreams! thats so soft!

Namjoon: tae i act like that all the time now with you lol dont be surprised.

Tae: you were vulnerable with jimin during ur toxic masculinity phase :( thats soft

Jimin: what about after? what about all the dreams after?

Tae: which ones?

Jimin: joon you have to know what im talking about. after we broke up. tell me that wasnt
you.

Tae: ??? jimin you never told me about this. what did you dream about after?

Namjoon: yeah. yeah i think that was me.

Jimin: what the fuck joon. what the fUCK. i taught you. i taught you how to know if
something is a dream. how did you not know. why the fuck didnt you sotp it. i felt so fucking
guilty all the time and now i honestly feel even worse what the fuck.

Tae: ??????

Namjoon: i dont know! i thought it was just some fucked up dream. i told myself you were
scaring me that you were thinking too far ahead but part of me wanted that too. part of me
wanted that future too. but it was so fast and we were so young and i didnt want to get stuck
with my first boyfriend getting married.

Jimin: that was fucking real. that was you. joon we practically lived a life together. what the
fuck am i supposed to do with that information? we…we had rose.

Namjoon: and somin. i know. im sorry.

Jimin: fuck

Tae: ???? who’s somin? please someone explain. im so worried but i dont know hwat to
worry about
Jimin: we got married. we had a house together and kids. i thought it was some fucked up
fantasy. joon this was while you were with tae.

Namjoon: trust me, i know. and there were those times you’d show up to talk to me and it felt
so different. i told myself okay this is a shared dream. and the other ones were softer and
fuzzier so i assumed they were my own. i mean. you kept showing up for sex and i just
assumed those were the real ones and i got so used to saying no when you were frantic like
that.

Jimin: we fucked in the soft dreams, joon. you wanted that. you wanted me.

Namjoon: i think i hated you because i hated myself. i dreamed of you at night and woke up
with tae in my arms and i hated myself so i blamed you. i thought you were this nightmare
haunting me, tempting me to be disloyal. but then tae said he loved you. he loves you. and i
started to realize. maybe i do too. maybe theres room in my heart for more than one person.

Jimin: try six.

Tae: ...you guys got married?

Namjoon: taetae, baby, i thought it was a nightmare

Tae: and you didnt invite me? who did jimins hair and makeup???????? that was always
going to be my job!!! we agreed jimin!!!!!

Jimin: oh my god tae

Tae: i couldve also accidentally shared this dream with you! i couldve been a flower girl!!!! i
cant believe neither of you thought to accidentally invite me to your wedding.

Jimin: hhhhhhhh i cant believe you right now taehyung

Tae: im still offended. dont talk to me. :(

Namjoon: tae, how are you really? this is a lot to take in?

Tae: im honestly relieved. i knew you still cared about him, joon. i couldnt figure out how to
prove to you that you still cared about him. but you were dream married to him the whole
time so i guess i was wasting my time.

Namjoon: im so so happy to hear you say that, tae.

Namjoon: jimin…

Jimin: i dont know what to say either, joon.

Namjoon: do we go back to that? if that was real, do we treat each other like we used to
there? or like here?

Jimin: i dont know. i need to think about it.

Tae: can i meet rose and somin?

Jimin: aw yeah tae id love for you to meet them.

Tae: tonight????

Namjoon: sure, baby. we can go tonight.

Jimin: i feel so calm about this. just the thought of you two, my feelings for you, used to send
me into this spiral of...darkness. god, it was so dark. i wanted to tear myself apart from the
inside out. and now…now im so calm.

Namjoon: i love you, jimin. if theres one thing i can accept from the dreams it’s that. you
were...are. you are a good man. you loved me so deeply. i felt safe with you. both of you. in
such different ways. i cant wait to feel both of those at once and know theyre both equally
real.

Tae: im so happy~

Jimin: i...im happy too. thats weird. im happy.

Tae: :( jimin

Jimin: i didnt realize how much i was faking it.

Namjoon: so are we going to talk about that jin guy? who took your virginity?

Tae: omg yeah. i was mad at first cause i was defensive but he seems kind just confused and
lost. and deeply in love with yoongi! oh my god! the puppy eyes :( hes hot jimin. i cant
believe he was your first

Jimin: alskjdfalskdjfads i barely know him. i think maybe he felt what i did, how real it was,
and freaked out and avoided me. i thought i caught glimpses of him from time to time but i
was never sure. i gave up after awhile.

Tae: are you gonna go after him again???

Namjoon: uh i mean maybe wait for him to sort things out with yoongi. and that hope guy.

Jimin: oh. lmao. i sort of fucked hoseok too. he works at the same club as me

Tae: oh!!!! i thought he looked familiar!!!! hes such a good dancer!

Namjoon: oh shit yeah i remember that. tae was drooling over him all night when we visited
you that one time.

Jimin: i dont think the three of us have talked like this since high school.

Namjoon: im really fucking glad we made it back to this <3

Tae: i knew i missed this but i didnt realize how badly. i love you guys.
Namjoon: love you guys too

Jimin: yeah...me too

Tae: jimin you can say it~~~~

Jimin: give me time, tae

-x-

Jungkook: have you unblocked me yet

Hoseok: yeah.

Jungkook: oh. fuck. i actually wasnt sure if you would.

Hoseok: im. confused.

Jungkook: um. okay? so...did u wanna talk about it?

Hoseok: its weird.

Jungkook: it is. yeah.

Hoseok: you dont seem as freaked

Jungkook: well. no. id met joon and tae before. and id been texting yoongi so jin was really
the only person i didnt know. but yoongi bitched about him so. i sort of knew him. idk. it
seemed kinda obvious once everyone was there.

Hoseok: obvious? how can you say it was obvious.

Jungkook: you sound weird. i mean we’re texting. but something’s wrong. whats wrong?

Hoseok: yoongi… why was yoongi there

Jungkook: because hes part of this?

Hoseok: i dont know how the hell im supposed to fix things with him. you ever have those
people in your life. and dont say me. where you like. you really fuck up. so you stop talking to
them and the problem goes away cause you never have to see them again? that’s yoongi for
me. i was never supposed to see him again and now hes my soulmate? i feel fucking
nauseous.

Jungkook: what happened with you guys? why’d he call you hope? you never liked when i
used your stage name as a nickname

Hoseok: he doesnt know my real name.

Jungkook: ???????
Hoseok: youd hate me if i told you

Jungkook: well maybe we’d be on even ground since i used to stalk you then

Hoseok: this is different.

Jungkook: youre freaking me out. if he werent dead id ask if you killed him or something. i
wont hate you. trust me, jimin and i are like captains of the fucked up yet functional club. i
never thought you’d qualify to join but we’d totally welcome you.

Hoseok: i feel sick just thinking about saying it.

Jungkook: i love you, okay? fuck what my therapist said about us. i mean. not really. she was
right about most of it. but i dont think she knew you were one of my six soulmates and maybe
thats why i clinged to you so much. but i have five other people to cling to now so it wont be
like. unhealthy for me to hang all over you. the situation changed. i wanted your attention so
bad but now i have all of them too. so go back to when we were together. when we’d talk
about anything. before i started to scare you. go back to that.

Hoseok: you make it sound so easy. i changed so much after you, kook. you felt so much and
so strongly for me that i thought i was empty. i thought i couldnt love. obviously i felt
emotions and stuff but i always compared my feelings to yours and i could never get close to
that so i thought i was broken.

Jungkook: oh my god seok. i was obsessive. its GOOD you werent like that

Hoseok: it didnt feel like that. every time i met someone it didnt feel like enough.

Jungkook: so you met yoongi?

Hoseok: yeah. yeah i met yoongi.

Jungkook: how? where’d you meet

Hoseok: online.

Jungkook: i dont want to interrogate you seok. either tell me or dont.

Hoseok: he was looking for a dom. he wanted someone to control him, to insult him. you
know, like a dominatrix in the movies but. a guy.

Jungkook: ...yeah. okay. i uh i think i follow.

Hoseok: so i did

Jungkook: you...what? no you didnt

Hoseok: dont make this harder kook. yeah. i did. i dommed for him. i treated him like shit
and he liked it. and i liked it. i liked taking him apart. i didnt need feelings to heavily affect
someone. he crumbled apart for me with one word. he trusted me and i trusted him. we’d talk
on the side, out of character. he said it helped him stay calm. to be treated like that. i
understood because it was helping me too. so we tried to hang out as friends and ignore what
we did at night. and then one night i was uh. i was fucking him. and it was different. he asked
me to do it differently. it was intimate and i was kind of uncomfortable but. we always did
things that were kind of uncomfortable and they ended up being fun.

Hoseok: i was almost there. i was about to… and he said he loved me. he started crying as he
came. he cried and told me he loved me and that he was sorry.

Jungkook: ...woah. what did you say?

Hoseok: i...you’ll hate me

Jungkook: i dont hate you. i want to help you fix this.

Hoseok: i told him that broke the arrangement. i got dressed and i left. i freaked out. and i
blocked him. like i blocked you. cause it was easy.

Jungkook: wow.

Hoseok: dont say fucking wow im fucking terrified

Jungkook: i mean, i never thought id say this, but hoseok welcome to the fucked up yet
functional club

Hoseok: thats not as comforting to hear as you think it is

Jungkook: hey the truth hurts

Jin stares at his ceiling.

He’s not sure where he went wrong. Not that he can’t see the wrong he’s done, but he’s trying
to decide when it started.

He was happy with Yoongi for a long time and it seems like it ended so abruptly but it had to
have started somewhere.

It happened during that same confusing period between childhood and adulthood. They
changed, both of them. Yoongi burned with passion and drive, determined to make his
dreams come true.

And Jin didn’t have that. He just wanted a decent job, a decent living. There was never one
thing that stood out to him that he had to do with his life. Watching Yoongi, who had such
singular focus, Jin felt strange. It felt wrong to hold onto Yoongi, to hold him back.

So he let go.

He didn’t ask Yoongi how he felt about it. He made the decision for both of them. He decided
he was wrong for Yoongi and left. That was that.

And now here they are again.

Yoongi didn’t succeed. Jin didn’t either.

Being apart didn’t do much for them, it seems.

Jin: you always said you liked being around other artists. that it motivated you, right

Yoongi: yeah. why do u ask

Jin: did being around me… UNmotivate you

Yoongi: ...what?

Jin: i had it in my head back then that since i wasnt an artist the way you were that being
around you was bad for you. im trying to figure out if that was stupid
Yoongi: it was fucking moronic. you were my rock, jin. i didnt care that you werent an artist
but you are in your own way. i always thought of your food as art. it wasnt even complicated
you just loved making stuff. even mac and cheese. it...honestly made me happy. when u made
food. so. yeah. you were wrong to think that.

Jin: so you do still love me

Yoongi: where the fuck did i say that

Jin: i can read between the lines. that hope guy, you loved him too but you never stopped
loving me

Yoongi: so?

Jin: so it makes me happy. makes me wanna cook for u i guess

Yoongi: dont be cute im still mad

Jin: youre not though, not really. yoongs, youve always understood complicated things so
well. i know you felt the need to lash out at me when all that info came out but i dont think
youre mad at me. i think you were confused and overwhelmed but i think you understand how
i felt and why i did what i did

Yoongi: im mad you hid things from me and lied to me

Jin: i hid things from you but i didnt lie. the memories from dream walking, that didnt feel
like ME. that was someone else. that was another person whose life i lived from time to time
but it wasnt ME

Yoongi: so you havent slept with jimin

Jin: no. this body has never touched jimin.

Yoongi: dont talk around it.

Jin: im not! idk what to say. i need you to just...understand.

Yoongi: then show me

Jin: how??

Yoongi: take me to a dream. show me how it felt.

Jin: i dont like being that person

Yoongi: no one else struggles with this. everyone else is just themselves. so be yourslef, just
in a dream. dont worry about whoever that other guy was. hes gone now. you gave up on him.
whens the last time you uh...were...him?

Jin: years ago

Yoongi: okay. so thats the past. hes gone.

Jin: idk if he is

Yoongi: try for me

Yoongi doesn’t remember falling asleep, but he’s glad he was texting in bed.

Jin stands in front of him looking worried.

Yoongi shrugs. “Did you have a different name here?”

Jin shakes his head. “I didn’t have a name here.”

Yoongi hums. “So what did Jimin call out when you fucked him?”

Jin runs a hand over his face. “You’re not funny.”

“I’m a little funny and you’re relaxing.” Yoongi stares into the nothingness that surrounds
them.

Jin stares at Yoongi. “You’re not mad. I knew it.”

Yoongi shrugs. “I’m mad at Hope.”

Jin’s lips twitch into a smirk. “You keep saying you’re mad but you’re not. You’re upset, but
you understand.”

Yoongi’s lips purse as he pouts. “That’s cheating. Emotions are tangible here.”

Jin nods. “I like it. You were always so good at guarding your heart. I like that you’re free
here.”

Yoongi swallows. “I...would like it more if I knew I could trust you. You’ve broken my trust
before so who’s to say you won’t do it again?”

Without a word, Jin lets old memories start to play around them. He lets Yoongi see and feel
his first day in this second world. Jin was so young, six years old. He had no attachments
here. No parents telling him what to do or teachers ranking him among his peers. He was
free and unfiltered, even as a child.

It makes sense to Yoongi. Just that much, it makes everything click into place. Jin’s life was so
carefully maintained. Of course he felt like a different person here. So much of who he was in
real life was manufactured by his parents and tutors. He was groomed from birth to be
something he’s not. The real Jin, he’s some combination of these two people: the free recluse
and the filtered prodigy.

Jin replays a memory of when he spent a dream with Yoongi without telling him it was real.
Jin had been rough around the edges. Yoongi remembers it vividly. He remembers feeling
guilty for wishing Jin would relax, for dreaming of Jin so differently than he really was. It
changes so much to realize it wasn’t his subconscious but Jin’s that had been projected here.

Then Jimin’s here, a memory of him. He’s young and timid, confused. Desperate.

Jin could feel the desperation, the need for comfort and affection and he made himself
available. Jin, with no rules. No boundaries. No compass. Of course he didn’t see an issue
sleeping with a stranger. Yoongi wasn’t this Jin’s boyfriend. This Jin was untethered, rash,
instinctual. Jimin wanted to be touched and Jin had been curious about that too.

It was weirdly clinical.

Yoongi’s not sure why Jin’s continuing to let this play out. It feels weird, watching a memory
of Jin having sex. It does sort of make him feel better to see that it was awkward and both Jin
and Jimin had been radiating distress and confusion. It also softened his heart to feel the
connection they found in each other, even then. Yoongi can feel it through the memory, the
way their souls locked onto each other.

The memory jumps to Jin fearing Jimin in the dreams. Jin was meant to be untethered, and
Jimin kept showing up like a magnet.

Then the memories stop.

The world around them turns white and Yoongi turns to Jin.

Jin looks at the floor, shrugs. “That’s when I gave up that life. Jimin sort of ruined everything
for me. You…being with you, it made me feel like the person I was in my dreams. It made me
feel free. I was so sure I could only have one of the two versions of life before me. So when I
gave up on the seemingly impossible freedom of my dreams, I gave up on you too. You felt
like a dream. Caving to my parents’ ‘training’, that wasn’t a life I could share with you.”

Yoongi doesn’t say anything. He needs to absorb it all.

He thinks and quietly lets his first memory of Jimin, the other Jimin, play for Jin.

Jin mumbles, “You never took me there.”

Yoongi glances up at the Whitestone Bridge. No, he never took Jin there. He’d fantasized
about proposing there. He wasn’t sure if Jin was the one yet. And then he left. And now there
are six ones.

Yoongi takes a breath and the first thing that comes to mind is, “That Jungkook kid is kind of
crazy. You’d like him.”

Jin throws Yoongi a weird look as the bridge fades away. “And what about Hope?”

Yoongi scoffs. “As if I know Hope. I don’t even know his name.”

Jin watches Yoongi. Yoongi’s eyebrows are furrowed, a sign that his mind is moving a mile a
minute though his face remains fairly stoic. “Is this your way of saying you want to be with
me again?”

Yoongi’s eyes flicker to Jin’s. “What?”

Jin laughs. “You’re saying I’d like Jungkook. It just sounds like you’re trying to get us all
together. Do you like Jungkook?”

Yoongi blinks. “Sure.”

Jin scoffs, amused. “You say sure but I felt your heart pulse. You don’t have to act cool. So
what about Jimin?”

Yoongi shrugs, suddenly back in front of the bridge. This time, it’s just him and Jin. “I met a
different version of him and I…there was something about him. I knew him for a couple of
seconds and I loved him. I felt so stupid after, but I couldn’t shake it. And this Jimin…he’s so
different.”

Jin tsks, “But he feels the same, right? Under all the harsh words and the facade, you can
feel his heart. It’s the same one as in your memory.”

Yoongi hesitates but nods slowly. “Yeah. Yeah, I guess it was.”

“Yoongi, please just tell me we’re good.” Jin’s words turn desperate. “I don’t know why it
took me so long to understand that my idea of the world was so wrong. I don’t know why it
took me so long to quit that job and seek the happiness I once had. The freedom here, I can
have it there. It’s just…scary. And it’s just plain horrifying to think of doing that without you.
The others…we can deal with in time, but promise me I have you.”

Fear.

Yoongi radiating fear is entirely too valid and Jin can’t fault him for it.

“Yoongi…”

“I have trust issues. Everyone I’ve loved has betrayed me. Everyone. I logically know it was
bad luck, but when my statistics are five out of five, it’s hard to convince myself it’ll end
differently this time. I’m so used to trusting and regretting it. It’s hard to convince myself to
try and trust again.”

Jin feels helpless. “What can I do?”

Tears fall from Yoongi’s eyes and his voice goes hoarse. “I wish I knew.”

-x-

Jimin feels stupid.

He dressed up and he’s holding a bottle of wine. It feels rehearsed and stupid and he feels like
a try hard.
Tae opens the door. “Oh. This is like a date date.”

Jimin whines and pushes past him. He puts the wine on the table and collapses onto the
couch. “This is stupid.”

Namjoon’s eyebrows are raised where he’s been stealing bites of food at the kitchen counter.
“Hi, Jimin. You look nice.”

Jimin screams into the couch cushions.

Tae can’t help laughing.

Namjoon meets his eyes and laughs with him.

Jimin looks up at them, betrayed. “Don’t laugh at me!”

Tae sighs and sits next to Jimin on the couch. “Jimin, you need to calm down. We talked
about this, right?”

They’d only sort of talked about it. They decided it would be best to ignore the life he and
Namjoon had together. Not to forget it, but to start over from scratch. They didn’t want to
hold themselves to a standard. They didn’t want to try to be the exaggerated versions of
themselves they were in the dreams.

Namjoon and Tae invited Jimin over for a date night. They’d talk more about what they
wanted to do about their pasts, eat together, and see how it went.

So Jimin dressed up.

And Namjoon and Tae are wearing pajamas.

Jimin drops his head into Tae’s shoulder. “You guys could’ve made an effort.”

Tae looks at Namjoon as he wraps his arms around Jimin. “You’re right. We should’ve.”

Namjoon shrugs, chewing on a chip.

Jimin lifts his head and follows Tae’s gaze to Namjoon. He sees a lot at once. He sees his
friend, his ex, his husband , his children’s father. His breathing speeds up. It’s still weird to
realize that was real in a way. They didn’t actually have to go through a crazy adoption
process or anything. As far as he remembers, the kids just sort of showed up one day after
they talked about wanting them. So it wasn’t totally real, but it felt real enough. The
conversation about wanting kids, that was real. He and Namjoon navigated a whole life
together and now…it’s like they’ve time-traveled. Neither of them knows how to feel.

Jimin looks away.

Tae rocks him quietly. “This is going to be even harder than we expected, huh?”
Namjoon swallows his chip with a nod. He clears his throat, “I, for one, am leaning toward
just…being who we are…here.”

Jimin looks up at him, glaring. “No shit, Joon. It’s not like I’m about to start talking to people
at work about my kids. It’s not about being ourselves. It’s about who to be to each other. I
don’t know what I want from you or what you want from me or what’s real and what’s not.”

Namjoon’s shoulders draw up closer to his ears as he gets more and more tense. “I loved you
in the dreams, but I don’t love you yet here. We don’t have a shared history here.”

Jimin scoffs. “We built a whole relationship there. I feel like we’d just start repeating our old
conversations.”

“Jimin, we can’t just accept the other wor‒”

“I’m not saying that! I’m just saying, there’s some stuff we’ve talked about and done that we
shouldn’t have to do again.”

Namjoon laughs, no humor to it, “What, like saying I do?”

Jimin wants to throw something, but he’s still curled in Tae’s arms. “I know you don’t want
more than three kids. I know being a husband and a father isn’t enough for you. I know you
need passions in your life aside from me. I know how to touch you to calm you down after a
long day. I know how to fuck you when you’re sad, when you’re mad, when you’re hyper,
when you feel lonely. I know everything about how to be with you, Joon. So please tell me,
why should we pretend not to know that?”

Tae sits back to stare at Jimin.

That’s not the Jimin he knows. The words coming out of him are older, matured, practiced.

Namjoon doesn’t seem fazed. “I’m not an idiot, Min.” And Tae’s never heard Namjoon call
him that. “I was there, okay? You don’t have to prove anything to me. You know me. And I
know you. You’re saying I needed other passions? Okay, so maybe we should talk about how
you needed other people? Remember when we stayed awake the whole night, crying, because
you couldn’t turn your heart off? Our kids were sleeping in the room next to us and we were
terrified, whispering about how I wasn’t enough for you and you needed more.”

Jimin stands up, tearing himself out of Tae’s arms. “That is not how that conversation went!
Don’t twist my words!”

“I still loved you!” Namjoon yells over him. The words echo between them. “You needed
other people and I still loved you. You kept expecting me to be jealous and I expected it too,
but, Minie, you weren’t happy. I could tell. Watching you figure out what you needed, it
scared me. I didn’t know what to do. It seemed like you were realizing you were gay all over
again. Part of me was scared you’d suddenly say you were straight.”

Jimin sputters a laugh.

Namjoon smiles sadly. “You’re right. I’m sorry. When I was thinking about it in theory, I
couldn’t figure out how we’d be able to mix the dream life and this one, but we’re here
yelling at each other like we used to and figuring things out like we used to so you’re right.
It’s easier than we thought. We just had to get mad at each other again.”

Jimin huffs. “We were always mad at each other.”

Namjoon pouts. “That’s a blatant lie.”

Jimin smiles fondly, finally forcing himself to look Namjoon in the eye. His voice goes soft.
“It’s really you.”

Namjoon smiles in turn. He wasn’t sure what to expect from Jimin either. He wasn’t sure it’d
feel the same as it did. He was in love. It didn’t seem possible for that to transfer over so
easily. And yet…

Jimin takes a half a step closer to him. “I’d look at you sometimes and I’d wish it was real.
When we went out for food, all three of us. Tae would go to the bathroom or walk away to
look at something and it’d just be us and I’d let myself pretend, just for a second…”

“Me too.” Namjoon looks to Tae guiltily.

Tae shakes his head, keeping quiet until these two actually kiss.

“We’ve been tiptoeing around the same secret.” Jimin runs a hand through his hair with a
laugh.

“I promise I won’t break your CD this time.”

Jimin snorts, laughing with his whole body. “I don’t know that I even own that CD.”

Tae pipes up, “Which one?”

Jimin smiles at Namjoon mischievously, “Britney Spears, Oops I Did It Again.”

Tae nods. “You have that. Actually, I have it. I borrowed it from you and never gave it back.”

Namjoon pales. “Wait, it’s here?”

Tae gets up and pulls it off the bookshelf, holding it up to them.

They look at each other.

Jimin’s lips press together. “Tae, can you open that for me.”

Namjoon steps forward, “Minie…”

Tae opens it.

Half a CD falls out.

Jimin sighs loudly. “Really, Joon?”

Namjoon whines. “I bumped into the shelf! Tae never listens to that! I didn’t think he’d
notice!”

Jimin walks over and squats to pick up the broken shard. “This was my‒”

“‒favorite CD as a kid. I know, Jimin. I’m sorry. I’ll‒”

“‒buy me a new one. That’s okay. It‒”

“‒doesn’t matter.” They speak at the same time.

Tae smirks. “You guys are creepy.”

Jimin nods, staring at the light reflecting off the CD. “We’ve lived this moment before.” They
go quiet, both remembering the rest of the conversation.

“You’ll still marry me, right?” Namjoon had been more worried about that question than he
should’ve been.

Jimin stood up and threw the broken CD in the trash. “You’re more important than an old
CD, Joonie. Of course I’ll still marry you, you dweeb.”

Jimin pushed up on the balls of his feet, body pressing fully into Namjoon’s. Their lips met
easily, peacefully, familiarly.

Namjoon’s hands traveled over Jimin’s body before gripping his ass. “Still can’t believe I get
to touch this whenever I want.”

Jimin doubled over laughing, Namjoon barely holding him up. “So you’re marrying me for
my ass?”

Namjoon hummed.

“I’m okay with that as long as I get to be with you.” Jimin’s eyes shone.

Namjoon stares at the CD in Jimin’s hand. It feels like they’re frozen in the moment before
the rest of that conversation. “I didn’t mean to give you a complex about only wanting you
for your body.”

Jimin’s laughter bubbles up out of him.

He drops the CD as the laughter turns to sobs. “I knew you wanted me. I kept trying to…I
kept thinking that you’d…”

Namjoon kneels beside him, “Jimin, I’m sorry. It was a joke.”

Jimin nods. “In the dream it was a joke. You couldn’t have known what it’d do to me when I
woke up. It’s not your fault.”
Namjoon pulls Jimin into his chest, kissing his temple softly. “Let me take care of you
again.”

“Okay.” Jimin speaks softly, turning his head to press his lips against Namjoon’s collarbone.
“Okay, Joonie.”

Namjoon holds Jimin and looks over his head at Tae. Namjoon holds a hand out to him and
Tae joins them on the floor.

Tae peppers kisses across Jimin’s face and Jimin laughs. “How long have you been waiting to
do that?”

Tae shrugs. “I did it once in high school but you looked at me weird.”

Jimin nods. “I remember that.” He pauses. “Do it again.”

Tae laughs and kisses Jimin’s cheeks, his nose, his forehead. He pauses. Jimin’s chin tilts
forward.

Tae kisses his lips.

Jimin pulls back.

Tae kisses Namjoon.

Jimin relaxes. “I’ve waited a lifetime for this.”

Namjoon sighs. “You’re going to make that joke a lot, aren’t you?”

Jimin smirks. “You know me so well.”

Jimin didn’t dream walk on purpose.

He remembers cuddling up in bed with Tae and Namjoon. It already felt like a dream. But he
doesn’t remember calling out to anyone. Yet here he is with Namjoon and he knows it isn’t
his Namjoon.

Namjoon gives him a funny look. “You’re the New Yorker, aren’t you?”

Jimin nods. “And you’re the idol.”

Namjoon nods back. “So weird. I can tell this is real, like some weird form of real, when I’m
asleep. But when I wake up it’s all so fuzzy. Maybe my conscious brain can’t wrap around the
idea of parallel universes so I just…remember it as a weird dream.”

Jimin smiles softly. The overthinking sounds like his Joon…“We’re really not very different in
these different universes, are we?”

Namjoon laughs. “You…my Jimin is different but…” He pauses, looking Jimin over.
“Actually, you seem so much calmer now. You seem much more like him.”

And that stings a little even though Namjoon didn’t mean it like that. “I…yeah, I was
desperate. You, uh, you can see a difference already?”

Namjoon nods. “Why did you come here?”

Jimin shakes his head. “Didn’t mean to. Did you want me here maybe?”

Namjoon shrugs. “I guess I was thinking about you, without meaning to. I was thinking about
how…dreaming about you, or meeting you I guess, but when I was awake you were just a
dream. But dreaming about only wanting sex with you was a wakeup call for me. It made me
realize that I love y‒him. My Jimin. It made me realize that I didn’t want something casual.”

Something clicks in Jimin’s brain. “Wait…you’re saying…without me, you may not have
realized your feelings for him?”

Namjoon shrugs. “I mean, never say never, but yeah. You pushed me over the edge of my
hesitation.”

Jimin walks up, toe to toe with Namjoon. His hands hover over Namjoon’s cheeks. “I hope
you know I mean this platonically but can I please kiss you right now because everything
makes sense now.”

Namjoon laughs awkwardly, “What makes sense?”

Jimin lets his hands fall on Namjoon’s cheeks. “Answer the question, Joon.”

“Yeah.” He smirks, leaning down. “You can platonically kiss me.”

Jimin presses his lips to Namjoon’s just for a moment. He pulls back and looks into
Namjoon’s eyes, excitement buzzing in him. “I have to wake up.”

Jimin bolts upright in bed. He pushes the covers off, forgetting he’s with Namjoon and Tae
who grumble at the movement so early in the morning.

He’s about to get dressed and run out the door when he realizes he doesn’t have to go
anywhere.

He turns and looks back at the bed.

Hesitantly, he sits back down…

He lies back and falls asleep.

He reaches out to the six others and hopes they hear him.

Tae and Namjoon slip in first, Tae wraps around his back, nuzzling his neck and Namjoon
stands beside him, holding his hand.

Jimin turns red as Jungkook shows up with an eyebrow raised as he looks at them.
Embarrassed, Jimin shakes them off and moves across the nothingness to stand by Jungkook.
He misses him, his partner in crime. He likes that he has Tae and Joon now, but there was
something exciting and passionate about him and Kook fighting against the world together.
“Hey.” He kisses Jungkook deeply.

Jin whistles at them and Jimin smirks as he pulls away.

Hoseok shows up and hides behind Jungkook, eyes darting across the nothingness looking for
something and relaxing when he doesn’t see it. Yoongi shows up and Hoseok immediately
tenses.

Yoongi sits on the floor, looking bored. “What’s going on?”

Everyone looks at Jimin. “Uh.” He cowers under the attention. “It’s really intimidating the
way you all look at me like that.”

Tae speaks softly, “We’re soulmates, right, Jiminie? You can trust us, even if you don’t know
all of us yet.”

There’s that weird pulse in the air between them, that undeniable fact that they really, truly
are soulmates, despite the drama between them all.

Jimin clears his throat, trusting in their future. “I think I know why we have these powers. I
mean, I knew we were bonded ‘cause…” He doesn’t have to explain. They all feel it. “But I
couldn’t wrap my head around the powers until last night. I spoke to, uh,” He looks at
Namjoon, “A Namjoon from another universe and he told me I helped him realize how he felt
about his Jimin. I told you guys I’ve seen different versions of us. I’ve glimpsed other
universes as well and…um, maybe…maybe this will sound scary…”

Namjoon’s eyes light up at the idea of another version of himself.

Jin’s curiosity is piqued, “Who else have you seen other versions of?”

Jimin smirks at the temporary distraction. “Um, Jungkook. I think I got a glimpse of you
once, Hoseok. I dunno. It’s hard to remember unless it settled. Sometimes I just wander
around.”

Hoseok is nervous. “What will sound scary?”

Jimin swallows. “Uh, right. I mean, I dunno why it’s us, I dunno why it’s this version of us
with this power, but I think we’re meant to be like…guardians. I think we’re supposed to help
the other versions of us. We’re seven. In worlds without magic, I imagine it’s pretty hard to
realize this is who we’re supposed to be with to be happy. I think we’re meant to help guide
them all together. Us. Guide us all.”

Yoongi barks out a laugh. “Us? I can barely look most of you in the eye and I’m supposed to
help other universes fall in love? That’s cute. That’s not happening.”

Jin sighs at him. “Yoon, I know you’re scared but don’t act bitter like this.”

Yoongi looks away, hiding his face.

Jungkook props his chin on Jimin’s shoulder, startling him. “That makes sense. And it sounds
fun. Like a video game.”

Namjoon makes a face. “Maybe a bit more serious than a video game.”

Jungkook tsks, “You must not be aware of how seriously I treat video games.”

Namjoon laughs. “Fair enough.”

Hoseok’s eyes are on Yoongi, almost unblinking. “Suga…”

Yoongi’s whole body shudders, but he otherwise doesn’t move.

Hoseok walks over to Yoongi, kneeling beside him. “B‒Baby…”

Yoongi’s breaths come in short. “Don’t.”

“You heard that, right? My name…” Hoseok’s eyes are welling up. “I want you to know it.”

Yoongi laughs bitterly and everyone stays silent around them. “You would never have come
back to me if it wasn’t for all this so save your breath.”
Hoseok lets out a low sound, only Yoongi is close enough to hear a growl. “That’s the whole
point of what he just said, right? We need the magic. We need it to remind us who we belong
with. I was scared, baby. You scared me. You and Jungkook love so big. I was scared to
deserve that and now I don’t have to. I can share it and I want that. I want us to have that.
Seven…seven makes it all sound possible, doesn’t it? I don’t…expect you to forgive me so
soon. But I want you to know my name. It’s Hoseok. Okay?”

Yoongi’s eyes shut and he’s thrown back. He doesn’t realize his memories are playing out
around him for everyone to see. He thinks of all the time he spent in subspace with Hoseok.
He remembers how vulnerable he was, how much he let himself want , how much he let
himself be wanted. He remembers how j-hope…Hoseok…He remembers how Hoseok took
care of him. The safety, the unparalleled safety.

He wants to be mad.

He wants to be furious.

He was in such a fragile state when Hoseok walked out on him, but he forces himself to
remember that Hoseok was in a fragile state too when Yoongi blurted out that he loved him. A
dom headspace is no less fragile than a sub headspace and Yoongi damaged Hoseok’s as
much as Hoseok damaged his.

It doesn’t make it forgivable, but feeling the pain radiating off of Hoseok in this
dreamscape… it makes it understandable.

Yoongi’s heart is weak and his body is even weaker in response to Hoseok’s voice. He slumps
over and Hoseok catches him.

Yoongi doesn’t speak or move, he goes limp and Hoseok cradles him to his chest. He whispers
into his ear, against his skin. “It’s okay, baby. I’ve got you. Your Hope is here now. You can
relax, baby.”

Hoseok pets through his hair, mumbling and kissing his face gently.

The others watch, hearts melting at the pure emotion swirling in the air around them.

Jin’s eyes are wide. He’s never seen Yoongi like this before, so broken and so open all at once.
He’s never seen Yoongi admit to his pain like this.

They were best friends for so long and Jin never saw this side of him. Never knew Yoongi
would want comfort like this.

Jin takes a half step forward. He remembers his time with Jimin, how similar it had felt.

Jimin’s eyes snap over to Jin as more memories swirl around them. It’s a lot, but it’s so
natural to them to absorb. It should be confusing, but they were built for this. It’s easier than
breathing.

Jin thinks about the way he took the lead with Jimin that night, told him what to do, let him
escape and took control.
Without really thinking about what he’s doing, Jin joins Yoongi and Hoseok on the floor. “I’m
here, Yoonie. Whenever you need me, I’m here.”

Yoongi’s heart sends a jolt of emotion out like an EMP detonating.

The six of them stagger under the weight of his love, his need to express it to keep from
drowning in it. He doesn’t have any fight left in him.

He told Jin he didn’t know how to trust, but there’s no way to hide here. All their hearts are
laid bare for each other to see. He can feel every intention, every moment of longing and
affection. There’s no way to not trust them all.

Easier than breathing.

They were built for this.

Without knowing the first thing about each other, the seven of them fall in love in an instant.

-x-

Yoongi wakes up choking on his tears, shivering alone in his bed.

He dials Hoseok’s number.

-x-

Jimin lets his eyes fall open, staring at the ceiling.

He doesn’t move.

It’s overwhelming.

He’s spent most of his life convinced he’d never deserve love. He sabotaged every chance he
had at it to try to make it hurt less when it would inevitably end.

And now…

“Just ‘cause we’re not dreaming, doesn’t mean I can’t tell you’re sad.” Tae has his arms
folded on Namjoon’s chest, propped up over him to look at Jimin.

Namjoon smiles sleepily with his eyes still closed.

Jimin smiles sadly. “I just…it’s such a habit to run when I start to feel like this. I’m trying to
convince myself not to, but it’s hard.”

Namjoon peeks his eye open. “Just you admitting that out loud shows how much you’ve
already changed, Jimin.”

Jimin keeps his eyes on the ceiling. “Yeah…I guess.”

Tae prods nosily. “So you wanna be interdimensional love superheros?”

Jimin laughs. “Something like that, I think we’re meant to be.”

Namjoon rolls his neck, popping it softly, stiff from sleep. “Never thought I’d live to see the
day where Jimin Park not only falls in love, but wants to help others fall in love.”

“Mmm.” Jimin hums softly, fight or flight reflex still crawling inside of him. “I’m your
friendly neighborhood Cupid.”

Tae tsks, “You’re not even from Queens. Yoongi and Kook are. One of them can be
Spiderman.”

Jimin blinks, looking over at Tae. “Wait, how do you know that? I know you’re right…”

Tae blinks as well. “Oh. I don’t know. It just…”

Namjoon hums excitedly. “It’s like the Matrix. We downloaded some of each other’s info. I
know Kung Fu!”

Tae frowns at him. “No you don’t.”

“I could.” Namjoon pouts. “Maybe Kook knows Kung Fu and I learned it from him.”

Jimin sighs shakily. “Why am I in love with six idiots?”

Tae’s eyes study Jimin. “You want to go to someone.” It’s not a question.

Jimin hesitates. “I can’t decide if I should go to Jin or Hoseok.”

Namjoon raises an eyebrow. “Not Yoongi? I’ve never spoken a word to him and my whole
body is telling me to wrap my arms around him and never let go.”

Jimin laughs, but it doesn’t touch his eyes. “I guess…one of them probably has gone to
Yoongi by now. I’ll go to the other…”

Tae asks, “So Jin’s memories, did he dom you?”

Jimin shrugs. “It wasn’t hardcore or anything but yeah, I guess he did in a way.”

Namjoon’s eyebrows shoot up. “You? The most dominant person I know?”

Jimin sighs, glaring at Namjoon. “That was a long time ago. Doms are allowed to have a
subspace.” His eyes turn thoughtful. “I’d love to return the favor though…bet he’d like that
now.” Jimin licks his lips, already imagining having Jin under him.

Tae snaps in front of Jimin’s eyes, jarring him out of the fantasy. “Are you actually gonna
like…physically go?”

Jimin nods, glancing at his phone for the time. “Yeah. Yeah, I’ll text everyone. I think Yoongi
has everyone’s numbers. I’ll make a group chat.”

Jimin: can you give me jins number? i think hes the only one i dont have.
Yoongi: [attached contact]

Jimin: gee you’re so talkative

Yoongi: 👍

Jimin rolls his eyes and starts to set up a new group.

Jimin: hey everyone, it’s jimin. figured we shouldnt have to fall asleep to talk to each other.

Hoseok: ah, thanks for making this! im um. im on my way to yoongis. so no one has to
worry. he wont be alone.

Namjoon: alfjsad thank you. ive never spoken to him and i was worried so i cant imagine
how the rest of you feel rn

Yoongi: im fine

Jin: youre not and you cant lie to us

Jimin: so just hoseok is going to yoongis?

Hoseok: yeah? unless um… i mean you have to ask yoongi if he wants someone else

Yoongi: not right now. just you

Jimin: hahah um. no i was asking cause i wanted to talk with jin. if youre free

Yoongi: hes unemployeed so he has all the free time in the world

Jin: =_= if yoongi has the energy to make fun of my pain, hes fine. um. yeah jimin. i can
talk. did you want to meet up?

Jimin: yeah. you can pick a place. id say we can go to mine but uh… feels a little too
intimate to be in an apartment rn. maybe a cafe?

Jin: yeah, i know a place.

universes these characters can visit~ i see lots of people who dont like others writing
based off their ideas, but i dont mind~ have fun! and share it with me so i can giggle
with you ><
ps, they havent discovered it yet but when it comes to other dimensions, they can only
dream walk with one of the seven of them. it can be an alt version of themselves, but no

Namjoon: what the fuck we were just joking about that

Namjoon: its not a far stretch to think… i mean if we can share dreams between our minds
when unconscious, can we...share thoughts when we’re awake?

Tae: hm...everyone else is busy during our groundbreaking revelation

Jungkook: okay but weird theories aside, can we all accept that im spiderman

Jimin’s practically late to the cafe. He’s bordering on compulsive when it comes to first
impressions. The fact that he woke up at Tae and Joon’s, took a shower, and then only had
clothes for giants to choose from left him really frustrated.

Luckily, Tae had some of Jimin’s clothes in the back of his closet that had been left here in
similar situations in the past…back when they were all still friends before everything blew
up. Jimin picks up the clothes, blinking as he remembers the last time he wore them, so long
ago. Everything they’ve been through since then.

He shakes it off and gets dressed.

Actually, he is late to the cafe, but Jin doesn’t seem to mind as Jimin joins him at a table in
the back. “Hey.” Jimin settles into his chair comfortably, taking off his jacket and reaching
for the water waiting for him.

Jin stares at him with wide eyes.

Jimin freezes. “What? What’s wrong?”

Jin stammers. “No, it’s just…” He stares at Jimin more. “You’re really…unfazed.”

Jimin blushes, remembering this is technically their first time really meeting. “Oh. Oh god.
I’m sorry. I’m so used to this. I forget how weird it can be to meet someone from a dream in
real life.”

Jin nods exaggeratedly, like that’s an understatement.

Jimin hesitates, putting his water down. He awkwardly reaches his hand across the table.
“Uh, hi. I’m Jimin. It’s nice to meet you.”

Jin shakes his head, mumbling. “We fucked years ago and we’re just now meeting.”

Jimin laughs. “Yeah, that’s…that did happen.” He’s not sure what else to say about it.

Jin feels the awkwardness in the air and tries to change the topic. “Uh, this morning…I feel
like…I learned a lot about everyone. Did you feel that too?”

Jimin nods, glad to have something easy to talk about. “Yeah, I was talking to Tae and Joon
about it. Suddenly we knew Yoongi and Jungkook were from Queens, but we never talked
about that.”

Jin hums. Jimin can tell Jin is trying to be subtle, but Jin’s eyes keep skimming over him. Jin
traces his body with his eyes. His jaw, his lips, his neck, his chest.

Jimin blushes. “Uh, our appearances are usually pretty spot on in the dreams. I’ve never had
to learn how to project my image. It just happens.”

Jin looks down at his drink, embarrassed at being caught.

Jimin huffs, frustrated. “I’m not trying to embarrass you, Jin. I…” He pauses, wishing they
were in the dream. “It’s all a little easier in a dreamscape ‘cause I can feel what you’re
feeling. It’s easier not to hurt a stranger. I’m both new and old to you and I’m…doing my
best.”

Jin hangs his head. “I know you are.” Jin rubs at his eyes. “You…This is going to sound so
crazy. I always thought of you as like…some sort of demon.” Jin covers his face. “Not at
first, not while we were…but after. You kept showing up and it’s like you were stalking me. I
know now you weren’t. I was just the only other one of us that was dream walking at the
time. But it felt like you were this…lustful temptation to stay in that world when I was trying
to be with Yoongi.”

Jimin licks his lips. “Lustful?” Like he’s about to ignore that compliment.

Jin glares up at him. “That’s what you’re responding to?”

Jimin shrugs, smirking. “I’ll take what I can get.” He laughs, responding to the rest. “I guess
I’m extra hard for you to see in person…I’m sorry. I didn’t know. Maybe we should’ve gone
to my apartment.”

Jin shakes his head rapidly. “Definitely would’ve fucked you if we did that.”

Jimin raises an eyebrow. “I don’t know about that. I’m keen on returning the favor.”

Jin blinks at Jimin. There’s desire in his eyes, Jimin can feel it. Jin pushes it down. “I think
this whole situation is gonna be really good for Yoongi.”

Jimin blinks, that comment coming out of left field. “Um. Okay.”

Jin blushes. “I’ve been in love with him for most of my life, so it’s hard not to prioritize his
happiness.”

Jimin nods. “I haven’t really talked to Yoongi yet. But I think this will be good for all of us.”

Jin hesitantly places his hand on the middle of the table. “Um, this is weird, but can I‒”

Jimin’s hand whips out before he can even finish his sentence, fingers lacing together. “This
is real.”

It feels slightly, slightly different to touch in real life. It’s such a small difference that Jimin
didn’t even notice for the first few years. He has a feeling Jin will know the difference
though.

Jin relaxes, looking at their hands. “Your fingers are so short.”

Jimin sighs, exhausted. “You should see my hand next to Tae’s. Or Yoongi’s.”

Jin raises an eyebrow. “You’ve been staring at Yoongi’s hands?”

Jimin blinks. “Oh. No, I just…knew his were big. More random info from this morning, I
guess.”

Jin hums. “He has beautiful hands. Even if you’re not into hands, it’s hard not to think his are
beautiful.”

Jimin laughs softly. “That’s cute.”

Jin stares at Jimin again. He can’t help himself. “It seemed impossible, but you know you’re
actually sexier in person?”

Jimin laughs loudly. “Yeah, I do actually.” He smirks confidently. “People usually get too
caught up in the different details of the fantasy in dreams to actually focus on me, so when
it’s reality I can control more of what they see. As backwards as that sounds.”

Jin shakes his head. “No, that makes sense.”

“Um.” Jimin presses his lips together. “Would it be too forward to ask you back to my
apartment? It seems like…neither of us are great with words.”
Jin hesitates. “How does this work with the rest of them?”

Jimin blinks. “What do you mean?”

Jin purses his lips. “Well if we’re…soulmates, even if we’re not officially dating yet,
shouldn’t we, um, ask their permission?”

Jimin’s mind goes blank. He’s never asked for someone’s permission to have sex before.
Well, other than the person he was doing it with. “Oh.”

Jin lets go of Jimin’s hand. “Maybe…just a text will do?”

Jimin nods, watching Jin curiously. He’s not sure how to feel about this.

Jin: whats everyones opinion on us having sex with each other

Jungkook: its hot?

Jimin: alsd;jfasdlf dumbass

Jin: haha no like...should we ask the others permission first

Tae: hello joon and i have been dating for years and we’re defo fucking rn

Jimin: TAE PUT YOUR PHONE AWAY you dont count

Yoongi: i think we all count but um. i dont think we need permission beyond uh...this? just
checking in with each other that...sex between any of the seven of us wont hurt someone else

Jungkook: since i know no one will has the guts to say it, youre sort of the tipping point here
yoongi. seems like the people who would be worried to fuck other people (jin, hoseok) are
worried about hurting YOU

Yoongi: oh

Hoseok: um...yeah. jungkook is right.

Yoongi: uh...we...havent officially started dating yet. who-who is even asking right now? i
dont wanna think about every situation. jin? youre asking? youre with jimin?

Jin: yeah.

Yoongi: go for it. you want to make it real, dont you? i think you should.

Jin: youre sure?

Yoongi: yeah, jinnie. im sure.

Hoseok: and what about me?

Yoongi: youre literally in my bed right now.

Jungkook: oof tell me more

Yoongi: isnt jungkook the youngest? whats he so horny for?

Jimin: you answered your own question. hes the youngest. closest to a horny teenager.

Jungkook: excuse you, there are six hot men bonded to my heart who are talking about sex. i
am simply reacting in a NORMAL MANNER

Tae: i want kookie to watch me fuck joon

Jungkook: fuCK

Tae:

“So.” Jin looks across the table at Jimin, both putting their phones down. “That’s a yes.” Jin
stands up. He gestures to the counter. “You never got a drink. We can get something, put it in
the fridge for after?”
Jimin blinks. He hadn’t expected Jin to be so smooth. “I’d like that.”

-x-

Yoongi’s just wearing a t-shirt and sweats, what he always sleeps in, as he lies in bed.

Hoseok lies beside him in tight, whitewashed jeans and a tie-dye tank top. It’s really colorful.
Yoongi would hate it, except Hoseok’s wearing it and it suits him in a way a shirt like that
shouldn’t suit anyone.

“I’m pretending this is easy ‘cause I need you right now.” Yoongi speaks to the ceiling.

Hoseok lies on his side. “Don’t pretend.”

Yoongi shuts his eyes. “If I don’t pretend, I’ll be sad. I don’t want to be sad right now.”

Hoseok frowns. “That’s not how emotions work, Yoongi. If you’re sad, let yourself be sad.”

“I told you.” Yoongi lets his eyes open, carefully blank. “I don’t want to be.”

Hoseok tsks, falling onto his back so he’s looking at the ceiling as well. “Then why did you
bother calling me? All soft and needy on the phone.”

“Why did you come? If you were gonna say no to fucking me, why’d you say yes on the
phone?”

Hoseok’s teeth grind. “I came here ‘cause I couldn’t leave you alone in subspace. I don’t
know if any of the others could take care of you so I came and you’re building a wall around
yourself. You’re gonna burst, Yoongs. Just ‘cause you’re in subspace doesn’t mean we have
to fuck. Relax. Be sad. I’m here for you.”

It’s like a balloon in Yoongi’s chest, getting fuller and fuller. Yoongi wants to relax into it, but
it’s just as Hoseok says. He’s holding it back. He’s scared to be vulnerable with Hoseok right
now. But that’s not really it either. He’s using Hoseok as an excuse. He’s scared to feel
everything again. This morning was already a lot. He wants to lock it away, but he knows he
shouldn’t.

He thinks back to when things were good with Hoseok, when they both stuck to their
arrangement. He let himself ask for what he wanted for the first time in his life and then
they’d end a scene and hang out and talk about nothing.

If he didn’t fall for Hoseok, he would’ve been shocked.

He still remembers…

“Hey, sugar. So sweet for me.”

“Don’ like the r, sir. S’not soft ‘nough.”

“Ah, is that right, baby? Just suga?”

“Mmm, I’ll be your suga…”

The baby talk…

He was so embarrassed at first.

He was so emotionally healthy with Hoseok, expressing himself freely. It felt so fucking
amazing, letting himself feel.

“‘M scared.”

He says it so softly Hoseok barely hears him.

Hoseok turns his head, searching Yoongi’s face with his eyes. “Scared?”

Yoongi swallows, terrified of slipping but unable to stop. “Scawed to be happy.” He slurs the
r. He knows Hoseok knows what that means. He wants to hyperventilate, but the subspace is
already calming him down.

Hoseok rolls back over on his side. “Why is happiness scary, baby?”

“When…” He chooses his words carefully. “When you’re happy…so much can go w’ong.”

Hoseok smiles softly. “Oh, baby. You’ve got six people now who wanna make sure nothing
ever goes wrong for you ever again. You can trust us.”

Yoongi heart throbs at those words. Trust. And he knows it’s true. He knows he can. “Okay.”

Hoseok’s hand hesitantly reaches over to brush Yoongi’s hair out of his face. “Okay?”

Yoongi nods, finally turning his head to look Hoseok in the eye. His eyes are red with unshed
tears. “I’m sorry.” He sniffles. “I’m sorry I was so mad.”

Hoseok immediately scoots closer to him, their bodies flush. “No, my sweet little suga.” He
smiles at Yoongi. “You were right to be mad. I hurt you. I’ll never do it again. You were
scared to be happy and I was scared I couldn’t make you happy. We have help now, yeah? It’s
not just us and all our shortcomings.” Hoseok smiles sadly. “All the kinkiest people are really
just sad, huh?”

Yoongi laughs, but it doesn’t reach his eyes. “We knew that already.”

Hoseok doesn’t mean to bite Yoongi’s ear, it’s just right there. “Did I ever tell you…it used
to… ah, well it still does... it turns me on thinking about how you’d sub for me the night
before you’d wake up and go teach. How none of those kids even glimpsed who you are
under me.”

Yoongi makes a face at him. “That’s weird, Hope.”

Hoseok pouts. “Don’t kink shame me. And…use my name, Yoongs.”

Yoongi hesitates. “Ho…Hoseok.”

Hoseok kisses him. “Yeah, that’s it.”

Yoongi looks up at him. “Why do Seoks always break my heart?”

Hoseok snorts. “God, you ruin everything.”

“Can you‒Do you want to‒” Yoongi stumbles over his words. He always ask to ask like this
when he’s in subspace. “K‒Kiss me?”

Hoseok’s eyebrows shoot up. “You sure? Don’t wanna do that unless you forgive me. You’re
in subspace, Yoongs. I dunno if I should trust that you really want that.”

Yoongi squeezes his eyes shut and then opens them. Being with Hoseok definitely messes
with his mindset after so many times slipping into subspace with him, but he’s not totally
floaty. He can make this decision. “I was never mad at you, Seok. I was mad at me for falling
for you. I hated that it was my fault. You said you’d leave. You told me you’d leave. And I
still said it.”

Hoseok shakes his head. “No, we can’t keep blaming ourselves. We both messed up. And it’s
over now, okay? It’s behind us. I forgive you for confusing me. Do you forgiving me for
walking out on you?”

Yoongi nods. “You needed to come down before you could respond. I forgive you for
walking out. I don’t forgive you for ghosting me yet.”

Hoseok sighs, tracing his thumb over Yoongi’s cheek. “Yeah, I don’t forgive myself for that
either. I guess I was still traumatized by how things happened with Jungkook. I thought it’d
be best if I left you alone. I shouldn’t have decided that without talking to you.”

Yoongi hums. “If that’s why…I can understand that…and forgive that you simply chose the
wrong way to give me space. But you’ve got to make it up to me. A lot.”

Hoseok’s eyes are sad as he nods. “I can do that, Yoonie. Those are big sentences you’re
using. What headspace do you need?”

Yoongi tsks, “Sub, Seokie. Just…wanted you to know I meant it.”

Hoseok kisses Yoongi’s cheek. “Okay, baby. No sex today. Just kisses.”

Yoongi whines, stretching his neck to reach toward Hoseok’s face. “K, jus’ kisses.”

Hoseok smirks as he brings their lips together softly, letting his hand run down Yoongi’s torso
and slot familiarly onto the dip of his waist. “I’ve got you, Yoonie.”

Yoongi relaxes and floats.

Jungkook does as Jimin says and lets himself into Tae and Namjoon’s apartment. “Um,
hello?” He looks around. “Your place is really nice.” His eye catches on some photos of the
two of them. “Cute.” He takes his shoes off. “Would it be wrong to assume you’re in a
bedroom?”

Jungkook wanders around.

He pushes a door only to find the bathroom.

He looks for another open door, not about to barge into a room if the door is closed. He
pushes the one across the hall open and is surprised to see Namjoon in bed alone. “Oh, hey. Is
Tae not‒”

“AAAHHHHBALSKFJSDF!!!” Tae pops out from behind the door.

Jungkook blinks, but otherwise doesn’t react. “Oh. Hey.”

Tae pouts. “You’re no fun. Jimin gets so scared he usually falls down. I do it all the time. He
never learns.”

Jungkook shrugs. “Guess we’ll have to team up to scare him together then.”

Tae seems to realize that’s a great idea. He holds his hand up to Jungkook who high fives
him.

Namjoon looks between them warily. “I’m already scared of you two.”

Jungkook, temporarily distracted, realizes both Tae and Namjoon are missing shirts. “Oh. I’m
behind.” Without another word, he peels his shirt off.

Tae chokes. “Jesus, no one warned us you’re ripped.”

Jungkook glances down at himself. “Warning, I’m ripped?” He shrugs. “My thighs are better
than my abs.”

Namjoon whines. “Why do I have such a confidence kink? Jungkook and Jimin are going to
be the death of me.”

Jungkook pauses. “So, to confirm, we’re like… really doing this?”

Tae and Namjoon both nod. Namjoon speaks up. “Tae and I talked about…sharing ourselves
when Jimin came into the picture. We sort of realized…it wasn’t just Jimin that intrigued us
and when all this soulmate stuff happened, well that answered a lot of questions for us. So
yeah, we’d be happy to have sex with you, Kook.”

Jungkook blushes. “Like…emotional sex?”

Tae coos. “Aww, baby, of course.”

Namjoon nods firmly. “You’re part of this now, all five of you.”
Jungkook remembers the rest as if he was underwater. Everything’s slow and blurry and
overwhelming. All he knows is Tae helped him out of his pants and he helped Tae out of his
and now they’re both straddling Namjoon, Tae’s chest pressed to his back.

Jungkook lets his head loll back onto Tae’s shoulder, whining as Tae sucks marks into his
neck.

Namjoon lets his hands splay across Jungkook’s thighs. “You weren’t kidding about your
thighs.” He glances up. “Mmm, my Taetae loves marking.”

Jungkook nods, trembling slightly. “Like being marked.”

Namjoon reaches up, tangling his finger in Jungkook’s hair to pull him down for a kiss.

Jungkook can barely process it all. Namjoon’s mouth is on his, Tae’s mouth is kissing across
his back, each dip in his spin, the small of his back, his shoulder blades. He flinches when
Tae kisses his waist, ticklish. Tae laughs, licking the spot.

Jungkook thrashes so harshly he knocks his head against Namjoon’s. He looks back over his
shoulder, giggling. “Stop that.”

Tae looks at him evilly. “Make me.”

Jungkook blushes. “No.”

Tae laughs freely, kissing his shoulder blade softly, then finds his mouth. He can only get to
the side of his mouth from here but it’s okay. “Mmm, Joonie. This man made our Jiminie feel
again.”

Namjoon hums. “So much I wanna do to thank him.”

Jungkook blushes as they talk about him as if he’s not here.

Tae slips his hand under Jungkook’s arm, bringing their bodies together.

Jungkook can feel the press of Tae’s erection against his ass as Tae’s fingertips ghost across
his chest, his nipples, the v of his hips. “Guess we could touch him.”

So coordinated it’s almost scary, Namjoon squeezes some lube into Tae’s hand and Tae
immediately wraps his hand around Jungkook’s cock. “F‒Fuck.”

Namjoon’s hips jerk up at Jungkook’s moan. Tae smirks down at him, grinding back down as
he’s the one over Namjoon’s cock. “Get you some friction, baby. You want me or Kook?”

Namjoon shakes his head. “Either. If you think it’s not too much for him?”

Catching on quickly, Jungkook starts scooting backwards so he’s more over Namjoon’s hips
than his stomach. Tae laughs, “So eager.”
Jungkook grinds down onto Namjoon as Tae’s hand slips around him. Jungkook lets his eyes
closed. “Good.”

Tae bites Jungkook’s ear, pulling the lobe between his teeth. “What do you want, baby?
Wanna fuck someone? One of us to fuck you?”

“Like this.” Jungkook grinds down again. “Wanna ride him. Want Tae to open me up.”

Tae moans, sucking at a hickey he already left on Jungkook’s neck, darkening it. “I knew I’d
like you.”

Jungkook wishes he could remember it better, but his brain just becomes a jumble of
sensations. Cold, Tae’s cold fingers between his‒

Namjoon’s mouth.

Tae’s hand on his waist helping position him.

Full, beautifully full.

Tae moaning and kissing his neck, bouncing up and down with him as Namjoon cried out
both their names.

He barely even remembers his orgasm. Just remembers blearily forcing his eyes to open
again and getting an eyeful of Tae sitting against the headboard, Namjoon’s mouth around his
dick.

He wakes up again briefly as the two run a wet rag over him, mumbling praises.

They curl around him and the three of them fall asleep.

As the door closes to Jin’s apartment, Jimin decides to just totally give up on words. They’ve
already agreed to what they’re doing.

Jin puts their iced coffees ( “no ice, we don’t want it to melt” ) in the fridge and when he
walks out of the kitchen, Jimin’s shirt is off and he’s unbuttoning his pants.

Jin hesitates just one second before‒ “Yeah, okay.” He takes his own shirt off and keeps up.

Jimin’s pressed against him as he works on his pants. Jimin pushes his hands away, undoing
Jin’s pants himself. They’re in their underwear and Jimin has Jin pressed against a wall in the
hallway.

Jimin huffs.

Jin laughs at the frustrated sound. “What?”

Jimin shakes his head. “Used to being able to talk while my mouth is busy. Telepathy in
dreams has spoiled me. Where’s the bedroom?”

Jin leads them, walking backwards as he continues to chase Jimin’s lips.

Jin falls against the bed and Jimin tugs Jin’s underwear off and then his own. They’ve both
matured since the last time they’ve seen each other naked, but it doesn’t feel like a big deal.

Jin lets Jimin crawl over him. Jin looks up, eyes sharp. “I’m letting you do this but I’ll have
you know I’m quite confident in bed.”

Jimin hums, laughing. “Confident or dominant? Two different things, darling.”

Jin doesn’t blink. “Both. It’s been a while and things have been…rocky with Yoongs, but I
am very well aware of how pretty I am. That doesn’t mean I’m soft.”

Jimin snorts. “Look who you’re talking to, darling. There’s a reason I keep my hair black. I
dyed it once and everyone thought I was soft.”

They makeout harshly, fighting for control and neither winning.

Jimin pulls back, an idea in his head. “Wait…and don’t take this the wrong way, but would
you say you’re vain about your appearance?”

Jin shrugs. “In the right situation, I can be.”

Jimin narrows his eyes. “Hypothetically, would you fuck yourself?”

“In a heartbeat.” Jin answers jokingly.

Jimin smiles evilly. “Hm, Jinnie. Would you be interested in taking a short nap?”

Jin hasn’t been hungry about sex like this in a long time, not since he let himself be free in
the dream world. It comes back to him suddenly and he hates himself. It wasn’t just Jimin.
He doesn’t know how he forgot that. Acting like this again, acting like him , that other person
Jin used to be, it makes memories of that life come back. He has to talk to Yoongi about that.
But Jimin wants to play in the dream world and Jin is too determined to conquer his fear of it
to say no. “I could nap.”

Jimin licks his lips as they share a bed, in the same position they were just in. Jimin focuses.
“I’ll warn you, I’ve only done this one and by accident so I’ll try to do it again but no
guarantees. As soon as I do it, let me know if it’s okay. If not, we’ll stop.”

Jin blinks. “Um, okay.”

Jimin nods. “Ready set?”

The world spins for a second and then Jin finds himself on top of Jimin. Except. It’s not Jimin.

Jin’s own face smiles up at him. “It worked.”

Jin sits up, shocked.

Jimin, who is in Jin’s body, conjures a mirror and holds it up for Jin.

Jin gawks at hims‒at Jimin. He moves and Jimin’s body responds.

Jimin waits. “So? Into it? Or?”

Jin, ever so slowly, nods. “Into it.”

Jimin smiles wickedly and Jin didn’t know his face could look like that. “Excellent. I dunno
about you, but I know all of my weak spots.”

Jin runs his hands down his torso. “Can we…take a second?”

Jimin nods as Jin climbs off him. “I can…” He gestures at the ceiling and a mirror appears
there.

Jin looks up at it, feeling weird for a second since his brain tells him his face is his reflection,
but it moves without his permission so he knows it’s not.

Jimin whines. “Why is this so hot? I’m weird.” They’re both already half hard. Jimin smirks.
“We’re both weird.”

Jin runs his hands over Jimin’s chest, his face, his lips, his…

Jimin moans as he watches Jin wrap a hand around his dick. “Weird. I can’t feel it, but my
dick is being touched and I‒” His running his hands over Jin’s body as well. He gasps
suddenly. “Wait, stand up.”

Jin smiles, already seeing where this is going.

Jimin stands up as straight as possible. “I’m so tall.” He looks down at his own body with a
frown. “I guess I can see why Namjoon and Tae say I’m small, but I’m really not.” He pats
his own head, watching Jin laugh. He frowns as he realizes how satisfying it is to pat
someone’s head like this. Maybe he can’t be so mad anymore. “Anyway.” He clears his
throat. “May I kiss me?”

Jin laughs, relaxing into the situation Jimin threw him into. “Absolutely. I’ve been dying to
get my lips on mine.”

Jimin giggles as he leans down to meet…his own lips. He understands the hype. He has great
lips and now he’s really never going to shut up about them.

The kiss easily gets heated as they curiously run their hands over each others, their own,
bodies.

Jimin’s hands grip Jin’s ass with a smirk. He walks backwards, bringing them back to the
bed. Jin crawls over him and Jimin frowns. “Wait, I wanted to fuck you but now I’m not sure
what that means.”
Jin shrugs. “Who’s to say we can’t have two rounds? This is just a dream right.”

Jimin licks his lips. “I already love you. Drama be damned.” They kiss again, open mouthed
and needy. “Okay, you fuck me and then we’ll wake up and I’ll fuck you.” He laughs. “So my
dick will be inside you both times.”

Jin nods. “I’m okay with that.” Jin kisses along Jimin’s neck, knowing where his neck is
sensitive and then kisses his sensitive nippes as well.

Jimin whines, hips thrusting up into him.

Jin bites Jimin’s bottom lip. “If I remember correctly, no lube here, right?”

Jimin nods firmly. “You are correct.”

Jin pushes Jimin’s legs open, hand wrapped around his dick that isn’t his. “Well then…
ready?”

Jimin laughs manically. “This is insane. Why am I so hot?”

Jin teases his cock over Jimin’s hole. “That wasn’t an answer.”

Jimin whines, “S’hot. The size different. How dominant you are in my body. S’that how I
make other people feel?”

“I’ll tell you after you fuck me in reality. Jimin, are you ready?”

Jimin laughs again. “Maybe I was stalling. Yes, yeah. Ready.” Jin slides in and Jimin moans
loudly. He surprises himself. “Jesus, your voice projects.” Jin laughs. Jimin holds onto Jin’s
neck. “Show me how you like it and that’s how I’ll give it to you later.”

Jin’s eyes sparkle with mischief. “That’s a good point.”

To say Jimin is a mess in a matter of moments, would be an understatement.

Jin laughs into his ear, kissing the corner of his lips. “You better be taking notes.” Jin moves
his hips quickly, sharply. “God, you’re so coordinated. I can never fuck this fast.”

Jimin’s response isn’t understandable, just moans.

Jin moans too. “You really like this, your body does, uh, topping. I like it, but not like this.”

Jimin whines, gripping at Jin’s ass, trying to hold him impossibly closer. “Gonna…”

“Let go, Jimin.”

Jimin yells as he does, again, so loud he scares himself.

“St‒stay inside if you wa‒want.”

Jin’s surprised, but decides he wants to feel that so he does, yelling (not as loudly as he’s used
to) as he climaxes.

He pulls out and collapses next to Jimin.

Jimin stares at them both in the mirror. “That…”

“Yeah.”

Jimin rolls over, gripping Jin’s dick without warning.

Jin yells at the over stimulation. Jimin giggles. “Wanted to see what it felt like.” He continues
to run his hands over his body.

Jin stares at him. “You like overstimulation?”

Jimin nods. “Oh yeah. I mean, I hate it, but I love it.”

Jin laughs softly. “You’re a bit of a masochist.”

Jimin tsks. “Aren’t we all?” Jimin’s pleased to see Jin’s started to get hard again as Jimin
runs his hands over him.

Jin looks surprised. “Is this normal or?”

Jimin laughs. “Dream probably but who knows.” Jimin’s voice goes sultry. “Wanna blow
myself.”

Jin laughs. “Well who am I to stop you?”

Jimin laughs too hard at that as he positions himself over Jin, reaching out first with his
tongue before wrapping his lips around him.

Jin bites his lip. “How‒how do you like having your own cock in your mouth, huh?”

Jimin hums, looking up at Jin mischievously. He pops off. “How do you like it?”

Jin thinks about that. “Honestly…think I’m ready for round two if you are. Kind of can’t wait
for you to fuck me.”

Jimin laughs as he pushes himself up off of Jin’s body. They maybe should’ve gotten
comfortable before he threw them into a dream. He sits on Jin’s thighs as they both reaquaint
themselves with being back in the right bodies.

Jimin wraps a hand around his dick, sighing in relief.

Jin smirks at him. “You’re so vain.”

Jimin sticks his tongue out. “So are you.”

Jin shrugs and lies back. “You know what to do, right?” He folds his arms behind his head.
Jimin holds up the lube and condom Jin had stored in his nightstand. “It’s gonna take a little
more work than you did, but yeah. I know what you want.”

Jimin dives in with no further hesitation.

Jin really is so much louder than Jimin ever expected.

Namjoon: our souls are definitely linked. i feel like i know all of you, like i can predict your

room at some point

Jungkook: i feel like we should all be in the same room forever

Jimin: are you trying to say we should live together

Jungkook: i am

Hoseok: thats a little fast

Tae: its fast but i mean whats the risk? we’re soulmates right?

Yoongi: thats a valid point but idk how i feel about sharing my space with six other people.

Jin: if we’re splitting rent seven ways, you could afford that studio you always wanted, right
yoongs?

Yoongi: ...oh. i guess thats true

Jungkook: guess this might be a good time to mention ive been sleeping on my friend’s
couch for a month

Hoseok: WHAT. who’s????

Jungkook: yugyeom :’)

Hoseok: what the fuck happened to your apartment?

Jungkook: uh the lease ran out and i like not being broke. i sold all my furniture. got that
cash money. i was barely making enough to pay for it.

Jin: um...if any of you need a place to stay you can stay with me

Yoongi: you still have the condo?

Jin: yeah… i mean. i only use like two rooms

Jimin: only… how many rooms are there? we’re all talking about apartments in nyc right?
what kind of condo do you have with more than two rooms? how rich are you?

Jin: its already paid off and in my name so. im just paying taxes, utilities, and hoa which...is
still a lot i guess but. its been manageable. until i ya know quit.

Jimin: okay im sure theres a very sad story behind all that, but how many rooms are we
talking. i gotta know.

Jin: uh… 6 bed 7 bath

Tae: THERE ARE MORE BATHS THAN BEDS. IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE.

Yoongi: literally i still have the floor plan saved cause i used to get lost sometimes
Namjoon: damn jin. you live there alone?

Jin: uh...yeah…

Tae: BALCONIES??? PLURAL???? joonie you can get so many plants :(((

Yoongi: woah, you guys. he didnt give permission for anyone to move in.

Jin: i literally did yoongs. please take over my apartment. its so fucking lonely.

Jungkook: i cant even fathom living in manhattan. im so used to borough life.

Yoongi: manhattan is a borough

Jungkook: is it tho? its MANHATTAN. can you imagine like. waking up and just BEING in
manhattan? no trains? no tunnels? no bridges? my brain cant compute.

Jimin: sorry for being a creep but….do you live...in a 30 million dollar condo

Jin: um. y...yes.

Tae: oh he RICH rich

Yoongi: guys shut up. not anymore. hes practically disowned. but if we keep up with the
taxes and everything he can keep the condo. fuck. my apartment is a piece of shit anyway. ill
sublet it. we’ll help you jin. you shouldnt have to leave your home
Jin: im not disowned yet yoongs. im still doing okay but… yeah god they might one day. its
not like i NEED this apartment but… if you guys… its enough space for us. i want us to have
that option. if we all want it.

Jimin: all ive ever dreamed of was being a rich bitch in a top floor condo in manhattan

Hoseok: i think youve dreamed of a lot of things jimin

Jimin: ;D you would know

Jungkook: anyway so we’re all going to check out jin’s right? that’s where we’re meeting

Jin: hahahaha speaking of rich bitch shit, can you send me photos of your ids to give to the
front desk so they'll um. let you in.

Namjoon: damn.

Jin: i never took you off the file yoongi so you’re okay to come by whenever.

Yoongi: ….so i couldve angrily stormed in all this time? i was so sure id be thrown out if i
went. damn. missed opportunity.

Jin: yeah well… despite everything, i liked knowing you COULD come if i ever got really
weak and texted you

Namjoon: im in love with everyones love what the fuck you guys are so cute

-x-

Yoongi is the first one to show up to Jin’s apartment.

The doorman kind of startles when he sees him, and then smiles softly. “Welcome back.”

Yoongi’s heart thuds violently in his chest as he’s let up. “We’re, um, having some friends
over so expect five more people.”

The doorman nods, thankful for the information.

Yoongi knocks on Jin’s door, hands in his pockets.

Jin opens the door.

They stare at each other.

Small talk is useless so Yoongi says, “All this time, you never‒” stopped loving me.

Jin shakes his head. “Not for a second. And you‒” didn’t either.

“No matter how much I tried.”

And for once, they don’t let more words get in the way.
Yoongi surges forward, kissing Jin like he’s been longing to for years.

They leave the door open, unconcerned. The whole floor is Jin’s and you can only get up
with access from the front desk.

Jin has Yoongi pushed against the wall when Jungkook walks in with a duffel bag. “Phew,
don’t stop on my account.”

Jin bites Yoongi’s lip with a smile as he pulls away. “Um, welcome, Kook.”

Jungkook drops his duffle on the floor. “Well that’s my life in a bag so. Even if I don’t stay,
it’s not a big deal to carry it back.”

Jin and Yoongi both blink at the bag. It’s not a lot.

Yoongi’s eyes stay on the bag as he asks, “Learning how to dream walk…it really meant a lot
to you, didn’t it?” He meets Jungkook’s eyes, a serious expression on his face.

Jungkook hesitates. “Well, yeah. It was cool.”

Yoongi shakes his head, tsks.

Jungkook swallows. His voice softens. “Yeah, I mean. I didn’t have a lot and now I can close
my eyes and have everything.”

Jin laughs, a sad tone in his voice. “Meanwhile I dreamed of having nothing.”

Jungkook shrugs, matching Jin’s sad smile. “Guess we’re a good pair.”

Yoongi walks over and ruffles Jungkook’s hair, pretending Jungkook isn’t taller than him. “I
guess I’m soft for you a little bit.”

Jungkook preens. “God, I knew you were short but you’re tiny.”

Yoongi sighs and glares at Jin. “When will tall people acknowledge that 5’8” is still tall?”

Jin smiles fondly, eyes drifting to the door as Hoseok joins them.

Yoongi walks to him like a magnet has drawn him there. He closes his eyes as Hoseok
embraces him.

Jungkook’s eyebrows raise. “You guys better talk about a 24/7 dom/sub relationship fast
‘cause I’m pretty sure you’re already in one.”

Hoseok pouts at Jungkook. “It’s rude to bring up stressful topics around people who are
working through them.”

Jungkook laughs sharply. “That’s literally 90% of the things I say. I thought you’d be used to
that by now.”

Jimin, Tae, and Namjoon come up together.

Tae and Namjoon walk in.

Jimin hesitates in the doorway.

Everyone sort of trades side hugs and awkward eye contact as they acknowledge the others
are real people.

Jimin watches and there it is again, that need to run .

He looks at the happiness of these six people and all he can think is how if he steps in the
room, he’ll infect them and their happiness would burn out and die and he’d know it’s his
faul‒

“Hey.” Yoongi stares at Jimin. “You coming in?”

The others go quiet as they realize Jimin hasn’t walked in yet.

Jimin can’t breathe. Can’t say a word.

Yoongi blinks and for a second he sees the boy with pink hair. He doesn’t like that this Jimin
hasn’t talked with him at the bridge. Yoongi walks up to Jimin and offers his hand. “Um,
come sit on the couch with me. I want to show you something.”

Run, run, run. Jimin’s entire body screams that he shouldn’t be here, shouldn’t let himself be
happy.

But Yoongi’s hand hovers in the air patiently, even though Jimin hasn’t reached for it.

Finally, Jimin acts against all his instincts and takes Yoongi’s hand. Yoongi tugs him into the
apartment and closes the door. He glances around the room and then down the hallway. “Uh,
we’ll be back. We need to talk.”

He pulls Jimin into a spare bedroom and they sit on the couch together, because this lavish,
unused bedroom has a couch.

Jimin still can’t get words out so Yoongi speaks. “Can you, um, dream with me?”

Jimin answers by letting his head rest on the back of the couch. He falls asleep quickly.

Yoongi hesitates, just watching him sleep for a moment. It’s still so odd, all of this. It’s odd
how these strangers already feel like home.

He leans his head on the back of the couch as well and‒

Yoongi takes Jimin to the bridge.

“This is where I first met you. The other you.”

Jimin looks at him funny. “Why are we here now?”

Yoongi’s glad Jimin can bring himself to talk again. “It felt weird, for me to see you and know
you have no memory of us talking here together. When I met you, because it was you, I felt so
strongly and I associate this place with you now. I wanted you to be here.”

Jimin glances at the bridge to the city. “This is Queens. We could’ve just…gone.”

Yoongi sighs, expression pinched. “Consider this a free metro pass to Queens.” He hesitates
and grabs Jimin’s hand, leading him back into the park and down the path. “Anyway, they’ve
done so much construction since I was a kid. The park doesn’t look like this anymore.” He
points to where the bridge runs over the park. “That’s not there anymore. It’s all closed off.
My family would play wall-ball here as a kid all the time. Bocci courts were never touched, of
course. That will never change. Chess tables are still here too. But I miss being under the
bridge. I guess it’s a hazard or something but there was something so…”

“Calming.” Jimin finishes. “Some people go to forests and listen to the sound of waterfalls
and streams. The sound of cars passing from under a bridge…”

Yoongi nods. “Yeah, exactly.” He takes a breath. “I love it here. This is home. Even if I
haven’t been in years, this will always be home.”

Jimin looks at him. “Why haven’t you been?”

Yoongi swallows. “I planned to propose to Jin here. It wasn’t like… I didn’t have a ring or
anything yet, but I just knew that one day it would happen here. When things ended with
him…I couldn’t bring myself to come back. And then I dreamed of you, in this place, and I
realized…maybe love isn’t over yet.”

Jimin laughs awkwardly. “God, what did the other me say to you for that to all happen in one
dream?”

Yoongi laughs as well, looking up at Jimin fondly. “He didn’t say too much, but I could feel
his heart. His soul. The same way I can feel yours. And it gives me hope.”

Jimin’s eyes well up quickly. He looks away as a tear falls.

Yoongi stops walking and reaches out to wipe Jimin’s tear away. “I don’t know why you hate
yourself so much, and I know a few words from me won’t stop it, but I see beauty in you, I feel
it. So don’t stress about what you feel for yourself and focus on what I feel for you. When you
want to run, think about how it would hurt me to see you go. When you want to hurt yourself,
think of how badly I’ll want to help heal you. Start like that and it’ll get easier.”

Jimin can feel himself shaking as Yoongi mentions self-harm. “How‒How did you know?”
He knows sharing dreams opens your heart to people, but he gets the feeling that’s not it.

Yoongi shrugs. “When I look into your eyes, it feels like I’m looking in a mirror. That
unavoidable hatred and pain that was reflected back at me, I see it in your eyes. Seeing that
always made me want to smash my hand through the mirror. But then I looked at you, this
version of you, I saw eyes I knew so well and for the first time I didn’t want to run from
them.”
Jimin takes a breath, holding back more tears. “You should give Kook this speech.”

Yoongi tsks. “Kook deals with his pain differently. He’s all healthy and shit with a therapist.”

Jimin laughs, choking on his sobs as he does. “God, he really is the healthiest of all of us
isn’t he? He gets help while we just sit here and let our problems pile up and drown us.”

Yoongi nods. “I want to be your friend, Jimin. I know that probably sounds lame with all this
crazy soulmate stuff going on, but I feel like you need a friend right now. I sure fucking do. I
love Jin and Hoseok, but it’s so fucking scary to have this love returned to me that I didn’t
think I deserved.”

Jimin wipes at his face. “Jesus, yeah. That’s how I feel about Tae and Namjoon.”

Yoongi nods. “Okay. So we’re friends. I won’t try to throw love at you that I know you’re
scared to hear right now. I’ll just be here, whenever you need me.”

Jimin knows Yoongi can’t bring himself to ask for the same in return, but he wants it. “Same
goes for you. You’re scared to hear it too, right? So I won’t say I love you. I’ll be here.
Whenever you need me.”

Yoongi hesitates, seemingly surprised that Jimin actually returned his promise. “Oh. That…
that’s really nice to hear, Jimin.”

Jimin pulls Yoongi into his arms and hugs him tightly. “And you definitely need to talk to
Hoseok about the 24/7 shit ‘cause everyone can see how whipped you are. You need to set
some rules before you hurt each other.”

Yoongi huffs. “Okay, fuck. I hear you. I’ve never set ground rules for a relationship like that
before. I don’t really know what to ask for.”

Jimin nuzzles into Yoongi’s neck, more intimately than he knows he should right now, but he
needs the contact. “I…actually know a lot about the d/s community. I’ve read a lot of blogs
about 24/7 relationships. No two are the same, you know? It’s just what you both want from
it. I don’t think you should really go full 24/7 though. Not all the time. He’s still your friend.
You should be able to be around him without feeling submissive to him.”

Yoongi whines. “It’s so confusing. The way he makes me feel is so fucking confusing. My
brain just…shuts down and I feel floaty.”

Jimin pats Yoongi’s back as he pushes away. “You just need to get it out of your system.
You’re on a high right now. I do think it’d be super cute to see you two in a domestic d/s
headspace, not just sex. So when you get there, let me know so I can coo at you.”

Yoongi chuckles, blushing lightly. “We’ll see.”

Jimin hesitates. “And uh, I know it goes against what we just promised, but if you ever…need
that…and for some reason can’t go to him, I can help you.” He chokes, feeling awkward. “I
know how to help someone through subspace, is what I mean. I wouldn’t want you to feel like
that and not have someone to…if you need me, I can help.”
Yoongi blushes a little harder, “I, um, appreciate that. As weird as it is to talk about this
casually, it really does mean a lot.”

The walk hand in hand through the park in silence. “We should get back to the others.”

Yoongi hums.

Jimin glances at him. “But out of curiosity, do you ever slip into domspace? Or are you
strictly sub?”

“Never say never.” Yoongi shrugs. “I think…I want to try little space someday…but yeah, I
don’t know for sure yet.”

Jimin laughs and then chokes as Yoongi mentions little space. “Oh god. You’d be so cute in
little space.” Jimin shakes it off. “Uh, yeah, I’ve never slipped into sub but…maybe with the
right person…maybe Hoseok‒” Jimin cuts off his sentence.

Yoongi has a pretty good idea where he was going with that though. “I think Hoseok would
love to have two subs to play with.” He doesn’t know where he’s getting the courage to say it,
but‒ “Though, he’d probably make us torture each other for most of it so…maybe we can
save all that for after the friendship phase.”

Jimin laughs, going a little manic at the end. “Yeah, we’ll save that for later.”

Yoongi squeezes his hand. “Okay, come on. Wake up.”

Jimin’s eyes open and he’s looking directly into Yoongi’s.

They sit there for a moment, processing everything they shared.

Jimin reaches a hand out and runs his fingers through Yoongi’s hair. “Thank you.”

Yoongi’s eyes flutter closed at the gentle touch. “Nothing to thank me for, Jimin. It’s my job
as a soulmate to look out for you.”

Jimin laughs. “You’re really gonna use that soulmate thing to deflect everything, aren’t you?”

Yoongi opens his eyes, stretching. “Oh, one hundred percent. I don’t have emotions. It’s the
soulmate bond that’s making you think I do.”

Jimin rolls his eyes. “Whatever.”

He stands and offers his hand to Yoongi who takes it even though he doesn’t need help
getting up.

Jimin drops his hand as they walk out of the room, neither wanting to broadcast their
intimacy right now.

Jungkook pouts. “I really thought you were gonna fuck.”

Jimin slips fully back into brat mode now that his anxiety is manageable. “Who says we
didn’t?”

Everyone collectively says, “You didn’t.”

Jimin stutter steps. “Damn, like you all know me or something.”

The room goes quiet, scared to talk at the same time again.

Yoongi says it for them, “I mean, we do.”

The others all sit in a circle on the floor, Yoongi and Jimin naturally sit in the empty spaces
so they’re all sitting together.

It’s the first time they’ve all shared a space like this and that same feeling from the dream is
tangible in the room.

No one says anything.

They look at each other and breathe this in.

Without really thinking about it, they all reach out and grab the hand of the person next to
them until all their hands are joined in a circle.

The magic the seven of them contain buzzes through their bodies like electricity.

They all feel the same call to visit another universe and help other versions of themselves
find this same peace.

Jungkook breaks the silence. “So. Where do we want to go first?”
